I’ve baked lots of cupcakes from scratch! In our household, we have to make EVERYTHING from scratch because my mom has severe peanut, tree nut, and soy allergies. Pretty much everything you get in a store has at least one of the three baddies in it, so we have to seek out specialty ingredients that aren’t contaminated (flours, chocolates, extracts, etc). And trust me, the desserts we make here are fantastic! We’ve had people request that we make desserts because they loved them so much. The best part is, these desserts are actually much healthier because they don’t contain anything that is processed.

Every year my husband gets a cake and icing from scratch. The grated chocolate makes a difference, and per his request, crispy bacon is crumbled on top of dark chocolate ice cream. It ends uip looking like a hot mess, but he loves it. The rule in our family (my mom, dad, husband, and me) is that the birthday person gets whatever cake or pie he/she wants: ice cream, mousse, jam, nut butters, fruit, etc.

I forgot to answer the other day when you asked me about what I was pining for in the MAC Magnetic Nudes collection. Umm, all the eyeshadows, fluidlines, lipsticks and lipglosses?? Haha. Your post about the lippie combos on release day really sealed the deal for me so I’m waiting on a big haul from MAC to arrive on a UPS truck! (I didn’t want to fight the crowds at the mall.) I saw Sensual Sparks sold out by Friday, too. I’m excited to try Fairly Precious and Autoerotique, too. It’ll be my first EDSF and ED blush! And I’m always a sucker for beautiful fluidlines – cat eyes rule! I’ve been trying to get back into makeup lately because there’s so much beautiful stuff out there right now. Love discovering new products thanks to you! I still need MAC greensmoke and swiss chocolate!

I am a super shy person! I only have one friend because of it. I try to give people a chance, so I thought I’d spark a conversation first. But as soon as I open up my mouth, stupidness comes out and I automatically freeze up and disappear lol. Honestly, I’m like that because I never had any friends growing up. I was THAT fat kid in school and everyone made fun of me. So even now, as a grown woman when someone even talks to me, I end up being clingy. At least in my mind I am like that. I’m a sad case. :[

I read it years ago & I did like it, so I recently plodded through it again so I could read the 2 books that come after it. I only got a bit through the 2nd book, Spook Country, before it had to go back to the library. I’m going to try and pick up a used copy of it and Zero History so I can take my time with reading them.

2.Yasawa Island chain Fiji – I don’t know which Island gets the best WiFi – but I’d be happy on just about any of them – as long as I had a nice boat to get around in. 🙂

3.Niseko, Japan – hello powder snow!

4.Rome – I love that city – plus – what a great jumping off point to see the Med, Europe, North Africa etc from.

5.San Diego – La Jolla specifically. I want to be able to walk down to the beach and see Sea Lions daily!

I really wanted a few more on the list… I’d settle for just one more in Mauritius though!

Have you ever baked cupcakes from scratch? Yes, it can be messy and time consuming, but totally worth it when they taste way better than a mix.
Where’s the best place in your home to get work done? The living room, since it is so comfy!
What’s a book you have on your to-read list? Men Are From Mars And Women Are From Venus, I’ve heard so many people speak about it, so I’ve been really curious to read it.=)
If you had unlimited funds and could have five homes around the world, where would they be? Rome, Los Angeles, NYC, Stockholm, and Tokyo
How good are you at reading people? Hit and miss, really need to sharpen my skills. lol

My desktop background is a picture of the SF Bay Bridge and skyline at dusk that I took while on a boat (for a dance) back in 2010! It’s my favorite because I managed to capture a decent picture on my measly point-and-shoot camera despite the boat’s rocking and moving. My only gripe is that I didn’t get the very tip of the TransAmerica tower in the shot ARGH!

I have one of these lippies and I love it. I would love to try the other colors.

I have never made cupcakes or any other food by scratch. Perhaps with the money I save when I win this lip gloss,I can afford cooking classes. *wink*
