What Are Your 5 Favorite Eye Products Right Now?

November 18th, 2014 by Karen 37 Comments

Rise and shine, pal o’ mine! Let’s talk top eye products on this terrific Tuesday…

Here are my five favorite eye products right now. Mind you, the list changes all the time…so this is just a current snapshot.

  1. BECCA Ombre Nudes Eyeshadow Palette ($40) — Really great for easy, blown-out matte neutral eye looks.
  2. Rouge Bunny Rouge Satin Eyeliner in Blue Roan ($28) — Kind of obsessed with this blue liquid liner…
  3. Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in Espresso ($44) — It’s crazy stupid expensive, but I swear, Tom makes the best brow pencil out there now (also available in Blonde, Taupe and Chestnut). Life changing.
  4. MAC Eye Shadow in Woodwinked ($16) — This warm golden oldie is a goodie.
  5. Cle de Peau Perfect Lash Mascara ($50) — So waterproof that it laughed at the perspiration that poured off my face in the 13.1-mile half-marathon, as if to say, “Is that all you got?!” Too expensive, but it’s so, so good…

How about you, sweets? What are your five favorite eye products right now?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Oof. That’s tough. Ok, I’ll give it a shot!

    1. Tom Ford Platinum Cream Eyeshadow. I’ve been loving this thing! The smallest amount takes care of both my eyes, and it’s so pretty on.

    2. Benefit’s They’re Real! Push Up Liner. I know a lot of people hate this one, but I’ve never been faster, better, or happier with my winged liner than with this baby. Also, it never smudges!

    3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. I won’t put anything else on my brows. Love!

    4. MAC Pressed Pigment in Deeply Dashing. My go-to for a formal event. The sparkle is elegant and delicate. All I need is mascara and a red lip and I’m good!

    5. MAC’s In Extreme Dimension Mascara. It’s a better version of the Benefit They’re Real Mascara!

    Let’s see…
    1. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner- a new purchase but it was an instant love!
    2. Nars Dual Intensity eyeshadow in Pheobie, I love how metallic it is and it’s a perfect shade of purple.
    3. Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics palette, I use it every time I am in a hurry and I want to create an easy look.
    4. Mac Sable- do I need to say more? It’s one of my favorite eyeshadows of all time.
    5. Buxom Lash Waterproof mascara.

    1. MAC Mystery for my brows

    3. Lorac Front of the Line Pro liquid liner
    4. Maybelline Lash Discovery mascara
    5. MAC Painterly Paint Pot

    1. Clinique Chubby Stick for Eyes in Whopping Willow. Great for layering over and under eye shadows or just by itself when I don’t have time . . .

    2. Chanel Illusion d’Ombre Initiation and New Moon (fantastic used with the above). (I know that’s 2 but I use them as 1.)

    3. Bobbi’s Chocolates (still available online at Nordies): Dark Chocolate gel eye liner; long-wear cream shadows in Praline and Brown Sugar (love!). My quick late-morning pull-it-together-and-go look.

    4. Le Volume de Chanel mascara in Prune. Quickly knocked to the side my Cover Girl Curved Professional and the Dior Extase!

    5. UD Velvet eye pencil in Plushie. I’d given up eye liner pencils (all that work sharpening them) until I got a sample of this one from Sephora. “Cult” has now joined a new cult of liners.

    1. Tom Ford Cream Color for eyes in Platinum. Worth every penny!
    2. NYX HD Eyeshadow Base. Works as well as NARS Pro Prime eyeshadow base which was my previous favorite eye primer but the NYX is approximately $18 cheaper!
    3. Maybelline Full N Soft waterproof mascara. Beats every drugstore AND high-end mascara for me.
    4. Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows in Soft Blonde. It’s the only brow pencil that matches my brow hair perfectly without casting too red and the ultra-thin nib makes it easy to draw in perfectly precise, natural-looking brow hairs.
    5. MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork. I like this on it’s own, or as a base to bring some depth to more sheer shadows.

    1. Burberry Sheer eyeshadow in Trench and Rosewood.
    2. Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in Blonde. I have you to thank for this one.
    3. Tom Ford Cream Eyeshadow in Platinum.
    4. Cle de Peau Perfect Lash mascara. I’m still torn between hating and loving the SA who gave me a sample tube of this in September. Hate her because it’s so expensive. Love her because it really is everything I want in a mascara.
    5. Natura Bisse NB Ceutical Eye Recovery Balm. Without this I’m sure my eyes would be extra crinkly and lined.

    3. Dior Etoile Mono Fusion e/s – great as an all over wash or highlighting the inner eye corner
    4. Nars eyeshadow duo in Brousse – another oldie but goodie, simple and beautiful smokey eyes
    5. MAC Painterly paintpot – this is my 3rd Painterly…always my go-to primer

    1. Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer: I know a lot of people swear by Nars, but this is the only one that prevents UD eyeshadow fallout for me.
    2. Urban Decay single eyeshadow in Sin: My fav everyday basic. On the rare days when I’m too lazy to do a full eye look, I swipe this on my lids and instantly feel brighter.
    3. Too Faced 3-Way Lash Lining Tool: Love the jetblack line it creates. Can go thick or thin easily. Rarely transfers.
    4. Too Faced Better than Sex mascara: The BEST for making my pale lashes black and full.
    5. Urban Decay Naked 3 palette: a classic. By far my fav eyeshadow palette of all time, and the one I take when I travel.

Hmmm, doesn’t look like I have a brand loyalty problem, huh?!

    2. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
    3. L’Oréal Voluminous Carbon Black(WP)
    4. theBalm Nude Tude Palette

    1. Chanel Le Volume – my Chanel lady gave me a mini tube of Le Volume with my usual Inimitable Intense, and I forgot how big of lashes it gives me!

2 & 3. Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof – Gris and Khaki Precieux

    4. Pixel Party Proof Liquid Eyeliner in Grey Matters – this is just a cheapie liquid pen eyeliner from Ulta, but it is great! I’m on my second one. They have a bunch of colors too.

    5. MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study because: A) I’m too lazy for real eyeshadow most days and B) I own almost no powder eyeshadow right now! I’m too picky to buy any!

Speaking of Rouge Bunny Rouge, I saw on Temptalia that they’re going to be featured on HauteLook tomorrow… I’ve never used any of their stuff because money, but depending on what products they have, this could be great.

Tough one because I am a SUCKER for eye products. I just can’t have enough!

    Right now I am loving:

    1) Eye palettes that make my life easier in the mornings. These can be anything from UD Naked 3 to L’Oreal Ombre palettes (in blue, lavender, and bronze) to a Revlon palette called Muse (it has shimmery purple and teal…it’s a good one).

    2) Good shadow base/primer – right now I am loving NYX Shadow Base in pearly white.

3). Fave eyeliner of all times is Laura Mercier in Stormy Grey. It just enhances my eye color beautifully, is multi-faceted, and works great alone or with any eye shadow. I don’t know what I’d do if that one was ever discontinued.

4). New fave mascara is L’Oreal Butterfly Intenza – works great with one coat and really enhances the lashes!

5). Fave single eyeshadow – a draw between Laura Mercier Sherazade and NARS Galapagos. Both play well by themselves or with others. They are amazing classics that really enhance just about any eye color.

    1) Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – Hooollyyyy fudgeball, this is literally everything I want in a mascara! Gives my lashes some ba’doink!

    2) ABH Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown – Heaven, everything you need in a glorious little pot.

    3) Naked 1 palette, I had 2 and 3 until recently when I got 1 – WHAT WAS I THINKING – it’s amaze.

    4) Tarte liquid liner – I can line my eyes, not amazingly but the felt tip is really flexible and helps me get a great look. I’m pleased!

    5) Lit Cosmetics glitter and glue – GLITTAHHHHH. Everywhere, creates such a bold look with a smoke eye to boot.

    3) MUFE artist shadows (including the “blushes”)
    4) L’oreal Silkissime Infallible eye liner pencils

    1) Tarte Matte eye palette
    2) It Cosmetics Tightliner mascara – I have blonde lashes and this is the only thing that lets me get the roots!
    3) Benefit They’re Real mascara
    4) UD shadow primer
    5) L’Oreal Voluminous Smoldering eyeliner – the long, thick exposed part (ooo dirty!) lets me get right up into my lashes, tightline and waterline. 🙂
