1. Swimsuits with long sleeves
It’s like having a built-in sun protection shirt! I technically don’t need one because I’m allegedly trying to not add more things to my closet and already have 1) a swimsuit that I don’t hate, and 2) a long-sleeve swimming shirt for sun protection, but still, I want. Free People has a bunch of cute ones!
2. Early Aughts dancehall music
I’ve been listening to a lot of it lately. Who knew one could be so moved by Sean Paul’s “Gimme the Light”? LOL!
3. The show “Hacks” on HBO
This show about a seasoned Vegas comedian and an up-and-coming writer from Los Angeles cracks me up. It’s also surprisingly touching at times, too. You’ll be fan-girling actress Jean Smart by the end of it.
4. Printing out recipes
Lately I’ve been printing out recipes I make for dinner. It’s different from what I usually do, which is to pull a recipe up on my phone, make it once, and then forget about it.
You know what? Having a physical piece of paper works so much better for me. It really helps me to have a space to write detailed notes about what worked and what didn’t. I also like storing the recipes in a folder in my kitchen which I can easily grab whenever I need it.
I guess I’m old school like that!
Speaking of dinner recipes, I just made this Thai basil chicken dish (I subbed the chicken for shrimp) and it was a hit with the fam-bam.
5. Basketball
I wish I could play it, but I’m terrible when it comes to sports with fast-moving projectiles, and I don’t love the thought of other sweaty people all up in my space, bumping me from all angles. It’s a lot of fun to watch though. Side note: go Warriors!

I don’t care for one-piece swimsuits, I think my torso is long so they never fit quite right. I might look into a long sleeve swim top!
I love Sean Paul and all early 2000’s music!
Having a printed out recipe is super helpful!
One thing I’ve been loving lately is bagged salad kits – I just throw some smoked salmon on top and that’s my lunch for the day!

I’m the opposite of you! I have a short torso which has it’s own unique set of challenges, LOL!
AND yes to anything that helps to make meals easier. 🙂 What I do is buy proteins from Whole Foods (shrimp, chicken, etc.) for lunch. It’s one less thing I have to worry about.

BTW that baby pic of Connor Claire 😍
Too cute!

I can’t believe she was ever that small. Today I dropped her off at dance camp, and she didn’t even need me to walk her to her classroom. And she almost forgot to kiss me goodbye. Time flies when you’re having fun…

Oh baby! 😢 I can’t even imagine!

I love swim stuff w sleeves. I have a black zip-up swim top from Nordstrom that I wear w a pink swim skirt. It’s made by Sea Level, and they have short- and long-sleeved options. Definitely reduces the amount of territory you need to reach to slather on sunscreen!

So many things I’m loving:
I’m trying to sneak out of the office on Mondays or Tuesdays, which are my busiest days to get my nails done or at least get a polish change. It’s such an amazing mood lifter for me. And I’m thinking the money I’m spending is significantly cheaper than therapy.
Currently rocking OPI Mr. and Mrs. Mimosa.
The new Top Gun. I was 16 when the first one came out and I thought it would be fun to see the new one with my 19 year old. So we went last weekend and had a good time.
My garden is doing pretty well. I need to water tonight and I need to move one plant that’s not thriving but otherwise, it should be a productive summer.

I print out all my recipes and have one folder for mains and one for desserts/cakes – wonderful!
WHAT a cute baby Connor was! Not that she’s not cute now, just in a different way. When they’re that little, they’re All Yours and the older they get, the less they are. Sigh.

I love my long sleeve sun protection shirts and the fact that I can not only wear it for swimming, but also for hiking. The material is fast drying, good for sweating, ha!

So I’m behind, obviously, but I always at least do a short sleeves rash guard now – I burn so easily (ginger person problems) and have had so many burns, plus my dad routinely gets skin cancers taken off. Not worth it anymore!
We’re going on vacation the first week of July (amusement parks in Virginia, not my scene) so I need to buy a boatload of sunscreen for me and my ginger beard husband.
