I stumbled into the craziest cat lady store last weekend. It’s a spunky, sparky, creative clothing, shoes and accessories store called Hot Polka Dot, and it’s right in the middle of bustling downtown Petaluma.
It’s like discovering a dragon’s treasure trove of kooky ? cat lady flats, tanks, tees, dresses, purses, earrings — you name it. If you can put a cat on it, it’s probably for sale right meow at Hot Polka Dot.
I did see some things for the non-feline-loving population, but the inventory is predominantly cat, cats and more cats.

I aaalmost got this black-and-white sleeveless dress, but it was on the sheer side and didn’t have a lining…
These printed kitty shorts are cute, right?!
I would have rocked this outfit in a hot second when I was 19! The sunglasses, the shoulder detailing, the matching booty shorts. I mean, it’s too much, but in the best possible way.
Oh, and apparently Tabs booked a kitty modeling gig without telling me…
And the prices are pretty reasonable, too. Dresses are about $40, and same goes for most of the shoes.
I’m definitely going back soon. It’s a fun, cheeky store, and not just for the cat ladies (although, if you are a cat lady, YOU’ll LOVE IT EXTRA!).

Alisson and I have the same cat purses, she chose the Grumpy cat one and chose the yellow one.
Maybe Tabs can open a store like this in Novato. I know some cats who might be interested in working the register.
I would definitely bought the cat and lightning T shirt, although Odin would have questioned it as we know that one of his traditional names is ‘Lord of the Storm’…!

After seeing those kitty shoes, I broke down and bought a pair of the black ones off their website (yay!) They look just like Charlotte Olympia kitty shoes (but cost waaay less)! I’m also eyeing those ‘hello kitty’-type red shoes too in your pics along with the lightning cat tank…..soo tempting lol.
Looks like I’ll be keeping an eye on their website offerings from now on. 🙂

I think that you and your followers would be impressed to know that we will soon be hosting a kitten adoption event at the store. We have partnered up with PETpals cat rescue and they will be bringing kittens to the store for adoption June 11th from 11 am to 3 pm. Part of our revenue that day will go toward their rescue efforts.
