Yeah I’ve seen a ghost, I see a ghost every time I look in the mirror, *sigh* the ghost is my face in the morning. Everyday is Halloween in my house.

Yes, I’ve carved plenty of pumpkins, and it’s fun! (Those pumpkin-carving kits with the tiny saws are a big help.) But, one year when my son was very young (maybe 3 or 4), someone stole our pumpkin off our porch on Halloween afternoon, before we could carve it. He was beside himself when we got home and it was gone. I went out to get another one, and there were none left in any of the stores in our area. So I bought a big, ulgy, warty-looking Hubbard squash, figuring that that would make a really scary Jack’o’lantern. Well, let me tell you, carving that thing was a bear! Way harder than any pumpkin I’ve ever met! But, it did look pretty cool when I was done…

My favourite halloween costume was in grade 5 and I was a blue crayon. Not one of those skin tight dresses but i had two wood rings one around my shoulders and one around my legs, I was draped in blue material and couldn’t walk very fast. I also had a point blue hat that made me look ridiculous. I love Halloween!!

I LOVE candy corn. I actually bought a bag the other day while I was out with my friend Kim. As I was carrying it around she was yelling at me the entire time about how disgusting candy corn is! It’s funny how people have such strong feelings about candy corn. It seems to be you either love it or hate it. No in between. Perhaps I will eat some right now . . . nom.

    Happy Halloween!

We got lost on the wook due to a dense fog two years ago! It was scary, but funny (not too lost, fortunately). My dog found the way.

Today is good day to get lost in the woods, we have a foggy Halloween day. Good!

The scareist movie I ever saw was “The Exorcist”, I was a teenager when it first came out. If no one had ever told me it was loosely based on a true story of a young boy, I would have just viewed it as another typical Hollywood scary movie. It was the first time the concept of true evil became real to me. I haven’t been able to watch scarry movies the same again. Now as for candy corn and pumpkins I love them, I love carving pumpkins with the kids, decorating the house, making popcorn balls and hot apple cider! I love the changing Autumn colors, wearing sweaters and mittens..

I first watched Child’s Play when I was 3, and I’ve been terrified of Chucky ever since (I’m 29 now) So tonight, I’m gonna do some cute spiderweb makeup, get pizza, candy and mountain dew and watch Child’s Play 2!

    1. I have tiles of candy corn as my current work desktop. I think this well speaks to my official position on candy corn.
    2. I’m planning on getting my carving’ on tonight, actually! I used to carve a pumpkin every fall, now it seems to have waned to every other year or so, but I always go the traditional route: triangles for eyes and nose, and a toothy grin.
    3. Haunted Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia
    4. No, but I’ve always wanted to meet Lincoln’s ghost.
    5. The Ring. Hands down. Also, I have a completely irrational fear of any figure with a robe that hides its face, so, yes, the Scream movies scared me.
    Scariest movie you’ve ever seen?
    6. I almost got lost in the jungle in Laos looking for a cave once. Does that count?

My favorite haunted house – I volunteered at a low income housing community center last year. We made a complete haunted house maze for all the kids. I was a witch at that very end that jumped around the door and cackled at the kids. It was so much fun to be behind the scenes! But I did ruin my pedicure completely by the children stepping on my witch boots.

Luckily, we somehow stumbled onto another campsite a couple of miles away instead of stumbling into the other direction, which was wilderness for miles on end. Quite scary, and I don’t think 10-year-old me really quite grasped the gravity of that at the time!

I only have carved pumpkins one time – I didn’t realize how acidic pumpkins were! I did two Nightmare Before Christmas themed pumpkins (one Oogie Boogie, one Jack) and by the time I had finished, my hands were burning and cracking from all the enzymes in the pumpkin flesh! I had fun with the carving, but my hands were in terrible shape for a couple weeks afterwards. I bought pumpkins a few more times with plans to carve, but then I remembered all the irritation and burning and ended up leaving them on the front step. Of course, I forgot to pitch them after Halloween and they ended up rotting on the step too. My husband has now banned me from buying pumpkins!! >.<

Happy Halloween! I just started to appreciate candy corn in the last five years. It didn’t do anything for me as a child. the little gobbling a are suppose to start coming ’round in 3 minutes. So rainy here it will probably be a bust and I will be left with too much.

I’ve been lost in the woods, but at least I was with my dog, a friend and her dog, not by myself. We were following a map hiking and got lost, ended up walking about 20 miles in a big loop before we made it back to our cars. The dogs were real troopers about the whole thing, I think they had a grand time while we were stressing out.

I loooove candy corn! I’m an elementary science teacher so whenever the week of Halloween comes around I plan a lab where we use Halloween candy checking the density, conductivity, measure it, measure its mass, etc. The kids love it.
I’ve never carved a pumpkin but I think I paint one for Thanksgiving! I grew up on a huge ranch that was very heavily wooded so I’ve never really been lost in the woods.

Scariest movie I ever saw was called The Entity when I was little. Still freaks me out.

Yes and unless you are carving pumpkins with little ones, it’s overrated imnsho!

    Scariest movie you’ve ever seen?
Blair Witch Project and The 4th Kind . . .both were haunting and bothered me for days. I don’t watch scary movies much anymore because I get so scared.

Have you ever seen a ghost?

No; I don’t believe in them.

    Scariest movie you’ve ever seen?

Not a fan of scary movies. Probably a tie between the original “Psycho” and the original “Poltergeist.”

There’s a certain element of suspense. It’s that type of movie that even when you know something terrible is going to happen you still get scared because it’s so sudden! It’s that good of a movie.

I wanted to be adventurous and took a different route. The sun was setting and 2 hours later, I was SO. LOST. my dog couldn’t walk anymore and I sat in the mud next to him. I had my cell phone and called the police! They asked where I was, and I said “I don’t know, that’s why I’m calling!” I knew the name of the woods/trail and 20 min later a ranger on a bike found us! My dog slept the entire next day, and I was covered w bug bites and scratches.

    Happy belated Halloween.

How do you feel about candy corn?

It’s a good thing they have other flavors because the original is horrid.

Have you ever carved a pumpkin before?

    Yes when I was younger.

    Best haunted house?

I have to admit I’ve only been to one, but I was actually the one scaring people. We weren’t very scary imo. lol

Have you ever seen a ghost?

More like an apparition. I think it was my moms mother; we’ve never met before because she died when my mom was 12.

    Scariest movie you’ve ever seen?

It’s more gore than scare, but I’d have to say Human Centipede.

Have you ever been lost in the woods?

Nope. I’ve seen what happens in the movies so I know better to even go close to the woods. I’ll remain in city limits.

The scariest movie I’ve ever seen was ‘It’s Alive’ when I was a teenager. I remember going with my girlfriend from school to a small theatre where they rumbled the seats during the scarey parts and it was frightening! I generally do not enjoy scarey movies. Your outfit is great Karen!

Have you ever carved a pumpkin?

Every year I use to carve pumpkins with my family. My mom would make us use the kit since she thought it was safer than knives. I grew up thinking everyone carved pumpkins as a kid until this year. My boyfriend and I carved pumpkins together this year. I carved an elaborate cat in the moonlight, and he carved a simple jack o latern. He said he wanted to do something easy because it was his first time carving one. I was shocked considering he is 28 years old. I guess his parents were afraid to let him carve one as a kid because they didn’t want him to hurt himself. Anyways, I just thought it was funny.

Happy belated Halloween! Did you have fun? I just love Halloween! I got to dress up twice this year and I just love doing makeup! My next door neighbors niece let me paint her face like a sugar skull and it was so much fun!!!! I was a deer this year. And I made antlers out of sticks. And then my husband kindly reminded me that only boy deers have antlers. And then called me Caitlyn Jenner all night. Oh well.
I love love love candy corn!!!! Love it! And I had so much fun carving pumpkins yesterday! I learned how to use some new tools to carve them and made a cool barbaric pumpkin with teeth eating a tiny pumpkin. Did you carve a pumpkin this year? Did you watch “it’s the great pumpkin Charlie Brown” this year? It’s my favorite!!! Can you believe it’s November!!! Happy November!

    Hi Karen! Happy Halloween!

I’m not from the States so Halloween is a new (but exciting!) experience for me. I didn’t have time to carve a pumpkin this year (I really, really want to!). I’m not a huge fan of horror movies, especially after an ex would force me to watch them. I’d literally be cowering in the theater, covering my eyes; I’m not a fan of gore.

I saw a weird shaped pumpkin at the store and didn’t buy it. It was larger at the top and smaller at the bottom, looked like it was squeezed while growing. I had a great idea for it later that night but i figured it was alteady gonw. A couple days later that pumpkin was still there and I went ahead and bought it.I carved an alien face in it and painted it with green neon paint so it would glow with a black light. It is the coolest pumpkin I’ve ever done.

Best haunted house? I really want to go to Pirates of Emerson. I bet that’s the best.
Have you ever seen a ghost? Nope, how scary would that be if that was real?!
Scariest movie you’ve ever seen? The Grudge. I’ve seen both, the US version is scarier in my opinion. Peope told me the japanese version is scarier, but I disagree.

I used to like candy corn a lot more as a kid…Now I rarely eat them because they aren’t my candy of choice.

Yes, I used to carve pumpkins before as a kid and as a teenager…I remember it took a lot of work to get the sharp edges of the pumpkin’s eyes, nose, and mouth and to remove all the gunk inside, lol. It’s been a while though since I’ve carved a pumpkin…

Can’t say that I’ve ever seen a ghost before (yikes!) and hopefully, I never do. :/

In terms of the scariest movie, I don’t watch too many horror films but probably a 3-way tie between The Exorcist, Nosferatu, and the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead (hell, any of the zombie movies give me a good scare).

The best haunted house I went to was in Gatlinburg, TN where my family got trapped inside because it was so dark we couldn’t figure out how to get out! One of the hooded actors in the house had to rescue us… We’ll never forget that.

I’ve never seen a ghost but I do believe one has communicated with me….I was at an abandoned underground railroad house and asked if any ghosts were present and the lights flickered….unsure if it was just a fluke I continued to ask yes or no questions and the light always flickered when I asked a particular question still the scariest moment of my life to this day!

Getting lost in the woods alone is one of my biggest fears! I have gotten lost in the woods before but thankfully, I was with friends that were able to navigate all of us back on track.

    I don’tthink my answer previously went thru…

I’m such a wuss…no haunted houses for me! I’m even too scared for most scary movies. Sad, huh? But I love Halloween, because I LOVE seeing all the little kids dress up! So adorable! Happy Halloween!!

If you eat candy corn with peanuts it tastes just like a Payday candy bar so I like them.

I sat in a pumpkin carving contest before. I got inspired and carved my own pumpkin beside them. I was selected as a winner but was disqualified because I did not officially join the competition! Good times. Hopefully I’ll get a gift card this time! 😀

Even though I had to work until 8pm on Halloween night, I still went out with some friends to dance the night away at one of my friends’ party after coming from work. It was definitely a night to remember! I dressed up as a spider queen (aka spiderman’s wife) for halloween! I hope you had a fun night of halloween as well!

Honestly I hate the taste of candy corn but I forget every year and buy a bag, and then remember how much I dislike it! (Although I always end up eating the entire bag anyway…I really need to stop eating while watching Netflix.)

I think the scariest movie I’ve seen is a Japanese one called Audition, I even knew what was going to happen from spoilers I’d accidentally read and it still made me almost fall off my chair

We don’t really do Halloween in Finland, but I sure like the Halloween collections that companies put out.
