So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).
1. Pick a holiday gift set for yourself: skin care, hair care or makeup?
I’ll take the makeup set. Something from Chantecaille or Chanel!
2. Cookies or brownies?
Let’s go with the cookies, so I can eat them with a hot cup of Earl Grey tea. Don’t ask me why tea and brownies is a weird combo to me.
3. Real or faux tree?
Real, for sure. It’s messier and inconvenient (and steadily getting more expensive, it seems), but faux plants and trees have always given me the heebie-jeebies.
4. Who makes the best underwear? (LOL, asking for a friend!)
I’m a cotton kinda gal, so for higher end, I like anything from the Natori Bliss collection. For a more affordable option you can’t beat the cotton ones from the Jenni brand from Macy’s when they’re on sale.
5. A holiday song that easily gets stuck in your head?
“Feliz Navidad” drives me a little crazy, not gonna lie!
6. Have you ever had your brows laminated?
I never have because it’s just one more thing to do at this point in my life. I keep my brows relatively low maintenance, which is more my speed these days. Do they look decent? I dunno, it’s questionable. LOL!
7. Last person you kissed underneath the mistletoe?
Connor Claire. 🙂 We were at the tree farm getting our tree, and she held a piece of mistletoe over my head and gave me a peck on the cheek.
8. Your thoughts on holiday themed manicures?
Sure, why not? I love a festive mani. I’d like a dark forest green one with various types of shimmer, cream and glitter. I used to do red and gold manis for the holidays, but I got tired of people asking me if I was a 49ers fan. Maybe that’s a Bay Area thing?

I really like both, real are beautiful but I also love tinsel trees.

I love the high waisted ones by ARQ, and any of the Oddobody styles.

3. Real or faux tree? Faux although my one cat chews on the branches and then throws up – usually at 2 am after howling for 5 minutes. She is incapable of learning from her mistakes
4. Who makes the best underwear? (LOL, asking for a friend!). Current favorite is Chantelle soft stretch – OS for xs-xl and feels like nothing. Super thin and lightweight
5. A holiday song that easily gets stuck in your head? I avoid holiday music (spend 25+ years in retail and you’ll understand). They all get stuck since I’ll hear them on never ending repeat

3. Real or faux tree? Faux. For me, it’s easier.
4. Who makes the best underwear? (LOL, asking for a friend!). I do not wear undies, so I have no answer to this. My two daughters, ages 17 and 20, like men’s boxer briefs because they tend to be made better than ladies undies, and don’t fall apart too quickly. I miss the old Victoria’s Secret panties, where you could get 5 pairs for $25, they lasted forever!
5. A holiday song that easily gets stuck in your head? “Santa Baby”, love it!
6. Have you ever had your brows laminated? No, it’s not a look that I love.
7. Last person you kissed underneath the mistletoe? Either my husband or my pug, I can’t remember.
8. Your thoughts on holiday themed manicures? I’m wearing one now, some red nails, some sparkly green nails, and some white nails with red and green dots! I think it’s cute!

3. Real or faux tree? I prefer a real tree, but since we have a fake one that’s what gets put up year after year. I think it’s this way because I put up the fake tree and fluff it and take it down and rebox it. With a real tree Dear Husband would have to actually contribute a little work.
4. Who makes the best underwear? (LOL, asking for a friend!) I used to like GAP and Patagonia. Looking for some good cotton undies these days.
5. A holiday song that easily gets stuck in your head? Can’t think of one right now, but I’m sure if I go out shopping I’ll find one that gets stuck.

7. Last person you kissed underneath the mistletoe? I’m not sure I’ve every kissed under mistletoe. The only person I kiss these days is Dear Husband… or the cat.
8. Your thoughts on holiday themed manicures? If it’s holiday colors I’m ok with it. I’m not sure I like pictures and what not drawn on nails.

3. Real or faux tree? We have a 60’s aluminum tree, not a reproduction but the real thing purchased at a garage sale in mint condition. The color wheel motor had to be rebuilt (my husband is an engineer) but I love it. Otherwise, we’d have a real tree.

SKIN CARE! I’m super picky about hair care (it’s pretty much Prose or bust at this point) but I experiment a bit more with skin care.
