So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).
1. Hair up or down today?
It’ll start off down but will make its way into a semi-messy bun that’s half up and half down eventually, ha!
2. Last beauty product you finished?
It was a big ol’ bottle of L’Oreal Elnett Hairspray that I had forever.
3. Lime green eyeshadow – yes or no?
Um, at this point in my makeup journey, I’m gonna have to say no. But I’m open to it in the future, though!
4. What’s for lunch today?
Leftover lemon pasta from last night’s dinner. I made the sauce from scratch using Meyer lemons from our front yard!
5. One tiny task on today’s to-do list?
To remember to bring the notebooks I bought over the weekend to my first day of work! I’m very particular about my paper products. 🙂

You’re probably going to laugh, but I am in the midst of over-packing for my first day on the job at the college. It’s been ages since I’ve worked in an office, and I’m feeling the need to bring all the things with me, like, my favorite pens, mechanical pencils, toothbrush, floss, toothpaste, an extra pair of socks and a pair of tweezers, among other things. You just never know when you’ll get food stuck in your teeth, or if your socks will start annoying you, or if a rogue pokey hair will suddenly erupt from your chin. Why am I this way? LOL. At least I’ll be prepared.
What are you up to on this beautiful day? I hope things on your end are great. 🙂

3. Lime green eyeshadow – yes or no? NO…I love green shadows and liners, but not lime
4. What’s for lunch today? My husband packs our lunches for work. Today I have a turkey sandwich.
5. One tiny task on today’s to-do list? Purchase yearbooks online for my kiddos
Don’t feel bad for overpacking for work. I have alot of extra stuff in my office. I have:
hair serums & oils and hairspray
deodorant
perfume
lint roller (I always have dog fur on me 😜)
lotion
ibuprofen & tums
Nail clippers & tweezers
I’m always prepared. You never know what you may need. And I’m usually at my office 5 days a week.

This is hilarious because I just did my empties count, I think it was a Neogen propolis face serum, I think.

If it goes with a look besides lime green with pop on my skin.

A made from home hamburger on a brioche bun.
5. One tiny task on today’s to-do list?Drink water .
I am packing for a trip and I always over pack certain items like underwear and skin care. but underpack actual clothing
Haha, I’m the same way! I’ll have an unusual amount of underwear and not enough shirts. LOL!

5. One tiny task on today’s to-do list? Buy a card to send my girlfriend in Germany, with some nice coffee.

Find a dermatologist that takes my insurance and is accepting new patients and has an appointment sooner rather than later.

1. Hair up or down today? Down, it’s just below chin length so wearing it up doesn’t work.
2. Last beauty product you finished? Captain Blankenship Sea Salt Spray. Love this stuff – makes my hair full and brings out the natural curl without being crunchy.
3. Lime green eyeshadow – No, I think I’d look like one of Captain Kirk’s alien women from the original Star Trek!
4. What’s for lunch today? Vegan Sweet Potato and Black Bean Chili. (The secret is a teaspoon of good quality Dutch cocoa powder in the tomato based broth.)
5. One tiny task on today’s to-do list? Fill up the bird feeders as we’re supposed to get a bunch of snow tonight.
Congratulations on the new job and enjoy the office environment. When I worked in one I always had a little bit of everything on hand in case of emergency and my coworkers always knew to come by my desk if they needed a piece of candy or just some paper clips.
Great idea to have some emergency candy! You just never know when you need a sweet treat. 🙂

1. Hair up or down today? Always down. I don’t have anyone to help me put it up, and even my mother never really did that for herself. Her idea of fancy hair was a 1960s perm, sort of a “Betty Crocker” look.

4. What’s for lunch today? I had a Lean Cuisine Oven-Baked Chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. Not that good – I wouldn’t recommend it.
5. One tiny task on today’s to-do list? Bring the trash bins back in (from a yard that’s sopping wet due to 1″ of rain).
