So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).

TMI, but GAP Breathe underwear. I know I keep talking about them, but girl, let me tell you – life changing!
3. Have you ever had an outdoorsy job?
No, not really. And that’s probably for the best. I love being outdoors in controlled doses, but I don’t think I could be outside, like, for my entire work day. I do love my creature comforts.
4. Arugula or spinach?
Spinach all day, every day!
5. What lipstick shade suits you better — red or pink?
I think I do OK in both, but I’m guessing red is a bit more flattering because it has so much impact and brings so much color and life to one’s face.

Walk. But I can’t wait until my twin 2 year olds learn how to ride a bike!

Vuori joggers. Never thought I’d pay so much for a pair of joggers but they are so comfortable, don’t get pilly, and I can wear them at work.
3. Have you ever had an outdoorsy job?
Yes when I lived in California, I worked for the Sacramento/Yolo Mosquito Control District. We had to drive around, set traps, and collect them the next day. I enjoyed it most of the time!
4. Arugula or spinach?
Spinach – easier to disguise in a smoothie too!
5. What lipstick shade suits you better — red or pink?
Cool pinks.
That’s so interesting that you used to work for the Mosquito Control District. One of the scientists who works for Marin county mosquito control visited Connor’s school, and let me tell you, the whole class was super excited to meet a real, live scientist! She came home from school that day with so many mosquito fun facts. 😀

Oh yeah, all the kids were really into it! Connor’s science teacher really tries to get them into it by doing lots of “real life” science talks and whatnot.

2. Something you’re wearing today? A cheap grey, fuzzy blazer. It’s old and make me look like Chuck E Cheez, but it’s WARM, and I’m teleworking.
3. Have you ever had an outdoorsy job? Is being an airline pilot “outdoorsy”? Career No 2 after adding that Dr. thing to my name, outdoorsy too often (you never see crime scene tape in a nice warm spa, no it’s outside someplace very unpleasant when I show up).
4. Arugula or spinach? Spinach. I made a vegan spinach lasagna (the “ricotta” is made out of tofu, roasted lemon hummus, nutritional yeast and garlic) last night and my carnivore hubby ate two huge servings.
5. What lipstick shade suits you better — red or pink? Definitely pink.
LOL to the Chuck E. Cheese reference! I loved going there as a kid, but now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure the place was gross!

Aren’t joggers the best? The minute I get home from work, I put a pair on!

Hey Karen!! I love cats!!! I have a Shiba Inu named Scarlet.

1. Take a walk or go for a bike ride? I’m an avid walker. I walk 60-90 minutes six days a week. I love a brisk walk.
2. Something you’re wearing today? Blue jeans and a powder blue cowl-neck sweater.
3. Have you ever had an outdoorsy job? Yes, but not something for which I received pay. We used to have horses on our property. Taking good care of them and everything that went along with them had me outside everyday come rain or shine.
4. Arugula or spinach? We’re Middle Eastern and so we eat tons of spinach in all kinds of preparations. I do like arugula in a salad, though.
5. What lipstick shade suits you better — red or pink? When my hair was black, I loved red. Now that my hair is silver, I prefer mid tone to deep pinks.
I think it’s super cool that you had horses! Did you ever have a favorite horse that you had a special connection with? I’ve only ridden a horse once (!) in my life, and I was so touched by the experience that I cried when I had to leave him. LOL. I’m such a sap!
We had four at home and I loved them all dearly. Each one had such a distinct personality. My favorite was my sweet Jasmin. She was spirited but super affectionate. She loved to hang out with me when I worked in the paddock or arena. She was like a big 1,000 lb. dog following me around. She’d give me a gentle nudge whenever she thought I should stop a moment and give her a love.
She sounds like a special soul. I would love to have a connection like that someday! How lucky you were.
1. Take a walk or go for a bike ride? Walk, because I don’t own a bike, and biking is dangerous on the streets around here. I really loved biking when I was a kid and lived (for only 1 year) in a new subdivision with the desert really close by. Traffic was always really light, so it was pretty safe to ride a bike there.
2. Something you’re wearing today? Long-sleeved red cotton shirt, with a black cotton cardigan, because it’s cold here and I’m trying to keep heating costs down by keeping the thermostat at 68 or lower.
3. Have you ever had an outdoorsy job? No. This climate would kill me if I had to work in it during the summer or winter.
4. Arugula or spinach? Spinach, I guess. Not sure whether I’ve ever eaten arugula.
5. What lipstick shade suits you better — red or pink? Pink. If I ever get my teeth fixed properly, I’d love to try red, but I dare not call that much attention to my mouth at this time.
Arugla is interesting. It tastes kinda peppery. Most often you’ll find it in salads and sandwiches!

I prefer a walk because it’s easier to really take notice of nature when you’re moving slower.

The unseen but always noticable…perfume. A scent called Whiff of Waffle Cone.

Nope.

Spinach, all day and every day. Tossed with garlic and a dash of lemon juice.
5. What lipstick shade suits you better — red or pink?
Depends on the red and the pink. I can rock a tomato red or a brick red and a coral pink. But, overall, red is the winner.
Ooh, don’t forget a little bit of olive oil on your spinach salad! YUM! I would also add parmesan.
Gosh I’m late on this one.
1. Take a walk or go for a bike ride? Walk. Ever since I fell on the ice while pregnant with DD I can’t sit on a bike seat without my leg going numb.
2. Something you’re wearing today? Jeans and a tee. My uniform when I’m in the house.
3. Have you ever had an outdoorsy job? Yes. Taught summer horse camp. Loved the horse, some of the kids not so much, the hot weather not at all.
4. Arugula or spinach? Both.
5. What lipstick shade suits you better — red or pink? Either. Dear Husband likes pink better though.
