So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).
1. Which would you rather collect: vintage clothes or vintage furniture?
I could do both, but if I could only pick one, I’d have to go with vintage clothes, mostly because I don’t have a big enough house to collect furniture pieces. Sigh! Oh, and also, I don’t want to worry about my furniture being beat up by the pets and the kids playing in my house, you know?
2. How good are you with keeping secrets?
If you tell me something in confidence, it’s going to the grave with me, babe; however, I do have an exception policy. If I believe someone’s in danger, then I’m gonna say something.
3. Who’s the coolest Jennifer: Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner or Jennifer Coolidge?
Jennifer Coolidge, all the way.
4. What’s the nicest thing you’ve done for yourself lately?
For the last month, I’ve made it a priority to work out. It’s made such a difference in my sleep, mood and overall energy.
5. Pick one: spaghetti or lasagna?
If someone else makes it for me, then lasagna. I enjoy leftover lasagna much more than spaghetti. 🙂

Furniture. It will last longer and appreciate in value. I’m also old enough already to have some “vintage” clothes from my own purchases years ago. Old clothes deteriorate eventually.
2. How good are you with keeping secrets? Very good. I know some interesting things I’ve never told anyone.
3. Who’s the coolest Jennifer: Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner or Jennifer Coolidge? No opinion on this.
4. What’s the nicest thing you’ve done for yourself lately? Nothing – I’m stressed out by the same stuff I’ve been stressed out for years: My health, my job, handling estate matters, etc. I never get to rest or travel. My health seems to be getting worse.

1. Which would you rather collect: vintage clothes or vintage furniture? Furniture! Our house is 120 years old and all the furniture with the exception of the mattress is antique, all pieces we found either free or at auctions and restored.
2. How good are you with keeping secrets? Pretty good.
3. Who’s the coolest Jennifer: Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner or Jennifer Coolidge? I used to be a pilot out of LAX so I’ve flown a lot of celibrities. Jennifer Hudson is really nice as is jennifer Garner. I think Jennier Coolidge is just cool though.
4. What’s the nicest thing you’ve done for yourself lately? Put in my retirement papers – I’m ready to just relax and have some time for myself, no boss hat, no grandma hat, just books, tea, pets and long walks.

2. How good are you with keeping secrets? Very good.

4. What’s the nicest thing you’ve done for yourself lately? I started exercising again on New Year’s and have stuck to it. I have also started intermittent fasting again and lowered my alcohol intake.

1. Which would you rather collect: vintage clothes or vintage furniture? I collect both now but more actively search out vintage/antique furniture. My band tees from the early 90s are some of my favorite items, though.
2. How good are you with keeping secrets? Not good. I don’t like the stress of it.
3. Who’s the coolest Jennifer: Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner or Jennifer Coolidge? Jennifer Garner will always be Sydney Bristow from Alias to me
4. What’s the nicest thing you’ve done for yourself lately? Bought myself a couple of new outfits

1. Which would you rather collect: vintage clothes or vintage furniture? I don’t collect either one of those but I have kept some pieces of clothing that I purchased in the 1960’s. I still have a dress and a wrap by YSL, a dress by Givanchy, and two dresses by Pierre Cardin. The quality and craftsmanship is beyond outstanding.
2. How good are you with keeping secrets? Excellent. If someone says, “Don’t tell”, I don’t tell. Actually, I don’t like to gossip and so I’m not likely to tell whether I’m told to keep it a secret or not.
3. Who’s the coolest Jennifer: Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner or Jennifer Coolidge? Jennifer Coolidge
4. What’s the nicest thing you’ve done for yourself lately? I had a dear friend over for lunch. We hadn’t seen each other in quite awhile so we had fun getting caught up.
5. Pick one: spaghetti or lasagna? If I’m fixing dinner at home, it has to be spaghetti because my husband hates lasagna. If I’m eating out, I’ll go for the lasagna because I love it.

3. Who’s the coolest Jennifer: Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner or Jennifer Coolidge? Jennifer Coolidge is very funny, but I’m not that familiar with any of them.
4. What’s the nicest thing you’ve done for yourself lately? I have recently lost a lot of weight (55 pounds!) I was sick, but I’m much better and trying very hard to keep the weight off. I have a brand new wardrobe! So much fun to shop for six 10 as opposed to size 22.
