Morning, ladies! Happy Saturday. I’m staring at this huge mountain of laundry, and truth be told I’d rather be doing something fun like web surfing.

Wait — we’re all grownups here. Why don’t we just bail and catch some e-waves instead?

New in beauty and other randomness

  • The best brow products for blondes [Bella Sugar]
  • Add it to your beach bag: Ouidad’s Sun Shield Conditioner [The Cut]
  • OPI releases an iPhone app [Allure Daily Beauty Reporter Blog]
  • Does hair grow faster in the summer? [The Beauty Brains]
  • What do you think of the makeup bags in the new LeSportsac/Pat McGrath/Cover Girl collaboration? [Beauty Snob]
  • These leaf ties organize those unruly computer cords AND look super cute [Astropixie]
  • Military-inspired open-toe wedges: what say you? [Nitro:licious]
  • NP Set’s new eyeshadow palettes look really tempting [The Daily Obsession]
  • NYC Custom Compacts and Blushable Creme Sticks get rave reviews [We Heart This]
  • A plethora of mint green polishes [Vampy Varnish]
  • Does Rimmel’s Pink Blush lipstick dupe MAC Viva Glam Gaga? [Icyswirls]
  • Rae reviews a few goodies from the Upper Canada Soap Fruit Frappe line [The Notice]
  • Bright, beach-inspired colors: Essence does collection for surfer babes [Beautiful with Brains]
  • Bare Escentuals says their Flawless Defintion Waterproof Mascara ($18) defines lashes and doesn’t smudge
  • Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Creams ($22) offer ultra-pigmented, long-lasting color and comes in 22 shades
  • Benefit’s Some Kind-a Gorgeous now comes in a smaller size made To Go ($9)
  • Would you throw down $310 for La Mer’s Ocean Moisturizing Cream?
  • Cartier’s Eau de Cartier Essence d’Orange ($100) has notes of citrus, wood and amber
  • WANT! These Neutrogena Healthy Skin Cutom Glow Blush & Bronzer Duos ($11)
  • Unleash your goth diva with the Ulta Glam Goth Collection ($10)

If only Tabs were this musically inclined!

I got a little teary watching this…

Random old school!

I hope your Saturday’s going just peachy. Anything new to report?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

    Hi Karen!
It’s raining like crazy here right now and a bit cold, so it’s like summer’s gone back! So frustrating =/ and I have a creeping ache in my head, sigh.. have a good weekend and say hi to Mr. Tabs =)

I’m really pretty excited about the MUFE Aqua Creams! I also may need to cave on the Ulta Goth nail set! 😛

    Happy Weekend!

Ohh Nora – she’s so sweet! And she loves music! I heart how she is totally giving love and cuddling the piano when she’s playing the duet at the end. Too cute.

And while I would not throw down the money for La Mer’s face cream, that’s mostly because it’s too heavy for my skin. I am however saving funds this very moment to plunk down $165 for the Eye Balm. Best eye cream ever!

On the flip side, that means my only makeup purchases can be of the drugstore variety – thank god for brands like NYC – and thanks Karen for the shout out!

Sent my sister a care package that included Nymphette because I like my tube of it so much. Says she loves it! You ought to be getting royalties. 😉

Yay, it’s Saturday! I’ve been trying something called Charming Enzyme, it’s like enzyme supplements, which is good for the digestive system. So we’ll see how that goes. But it was like $50 a bottle that you can only drink for 12.5 days, so the price is pretty steep. So it better works!

Oh, btw, it’s Victoria Day long weekend in Canada… yay for long weekend XD

Thanks for the link love, Karen.

I’ve had a pretty hectic week so I’m spending today and tomorrow chilling out at home with my boyfriend and catching up on some sleep.

    Happy weekend Karen!

Back in Houston… we took a meandering drive home and drove through some old Texas towns. 🙂

I have those Blushable Creme Sticks – found them in the grocery store of all places. They do blend like a dream and for a drugstore blush, it is pretty awesome! 🙂

Those MUFE Eye Creams are pretty tempting! 🙂

Aww, the short film for Winnie was beautiful! Unfortunately, I’m not really playing hooky today — ran a bunch of errands this morning and will be completing (or, more likely, attempting to complete!) the dresser that I’m refinishing after dinner.

I’m actually so glad that you linked to a bunch of mint green polishes today; I’ve been trying (and failing!) to figure out exactly what polish my detail paint reminds me of… and now, I’m pretty sure it’s a dead ringer for Orly Gumdrop! The colour for the detailing is going to be super-cute ^^

As always, thanks for the link love, hon 🙂
