UGH. Don’t make me choose! My gut is saying cream…but I adore powder blushes to bits.
Liquid or gel?
This one’s easy — gel. The gel blush by Chantecaille, by the way, is all that and a bag of chips!
Sheer or pigmented?
Hmm… Sheer, because it’s always easier to add color than take it away.
Pink or peach?
Peach!
Berry or brown?
Berry.
Loose or pressed?
Pressed, please.
Nude blush or bright blush?
This one is surprisingly difficult for me. Most of the time I wear nude blush because (SURPRISE) it’s easy, but a pop of color from a bright blush really does make me seem less undead, and I need all the help I can get these days, so I’m going with bright… NO, NUDE.

Matte.

Which one would you rather layer with your blush — bronzer or highlighter?
I love me some bronzer, but I’ll go with a subtle highlighter because there’s less risk of my skin looking muddy…and I do like having a bit of reflection on my upper cheek bones.
NARS Orgasm blush — “all that” or overrated?
I’ve always liked it, but I don’t love it in the way I love the other NARS classics like Amour and Deep Throat.

P.S. My mom just sent me a box of persimmons! These are the last bunch of the season from the tree in their backyard.
Do you like your persimmons crunchy or soft? I like mine just a smidgen soft. Connor likes ’em extra soft and squishy and will refuse to eat them if they’ve got any crunch whatsoever.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a persimmon. They look soft.
Cream or powder? Cream but only bc I’m dying to try Bobbi Brown’s Miracle Balm.

Sheer or pigmented? Sheer is hard to mess up.

NARS Orgasm blush — “all that” or overrated? I got it and think it’s overrated. Good for a 20 something maybe. Or a kid’s art project.
For the bonus persimmon question – I like ’em on the softer side, kind of tomato-y? I do love a good persimmon (and the color is to die for).
Cream or powder? Oh gosh. Powder…I feel I can control it a bit easier, but I do love both.
Liquid or gel? Liquid, by default – have never used gel.
Sheer or pigmented? Sheer because I am very fair and it builds quickly!
Pink or peach? Peach all day!

Nude blush or bright blush? I was erring on nude but if you look at my blush collection it’s an even split! Lately I reach toward a brighter blush to come through on video calls and make me look ~alive~.

Overrated! I mean, it’s okay, I have some. But in the NARS blush world, I prefer Dolce Vita.

I love how cream blushes look when used over fresh foundation, so even though they don’t last long on my skin I’ll say cream. Actually right now I’m using a Chanel lipstick as blush, but that’s another story.
Liquid or gel?
I feel liquid stick better to skin.
Sheer or pigmented?
Pigmented, I don’t like blushes that are barely noticeable on my skin tone.

I feel it’s on the overrated side because of all the stories behind it. It’s nice but not a must have for everybody.
OMG! Your mom has a persimmon tree! I love persimmons. I like the Hachiyas when they get to be like pudding inside the skin. I prefer the Fuyus with a slight bit of crunch.
Cream or powder? Generally I would say powder, but lately cream has been working better for me.
Liquid or gel? Gel.
Sheer or pigmented? Sheer. It’s easier to add and build up than to take away when you’ve over done it.
Pink or peach? Slight preference for pink, but I’ll happily wear both.

NARS Orgasm blush — “all that” or overrated? I have a deluxe sample one, and it’s fine on me. Looks pretty natural on my very fair skin tone. Not too shiny, which makes me wonder if the samples are the same as the regular ones, since so many people say it’s super shiny.
Cream or powder? Powder, only because I’m so hopeless with cream blushes. I find powder so much easier.
Liquid or gel? Neither. For the same reason as to why I prefer powder over cream.
Sheer or pigmented? Pigmented. I want to SEE colour.
Pink or peach? Peach, looks way better with my colouring
Berry or brown? Berry, I’m not a fan of brown but perhaps because I’ve never tried it.
Loose or pressed? Pressed. Loose – way too messy for me.

NARS Orgasm blush — “all that” or overrated? It used to be all that until i found mac style which has since been discontinued. mac style is just magic in me. I bought up two pans and two refills because I love it sooooo much.

Liquid or gel? Gel, I would think. I’ve never tried either but I think liquid would be a big messier and harder to control (for me).
Sheer or pigmented? I must have an inner Crazy Clown bc I’m going with pigmented. 🙂 I’d rather use a very light touch than have to keep building.

Bonus Persimmon Question: I’ve never tried one since we’re a bit fresh-fruit-challenged in these parts. I’m going to guess I’d prefer soft to crisp, though. That’s how I prefer most of my fruits and veggies (except apples).

NARS Orgasm blush — “all that” or overrated? Overrated. I don’t understand the hype. It’s very pretty, but the glitter bits make my combination skin look like a disco ball. (If it didn’t have the glitter, I would use it more! It used to be more of a glitter sheen, but I think they changed the formula.)

Liquid or gel? Gel, but that’s only because I have a gel. My last experience with liquid was benetint and it was hard to control.
Sheer or pigmented? Pigmented, I love color and I layer gently even with a pigmented blush.
Pink or peach? Pink, but no bubblegum pinks!
Berry or Brown? Berry!
Loose or pressed? I started makeup with bare minerals loose blushes and I love those, so I have to choose loose because my longtime favorites are there.
Nude blush or bright blush? Nude, it looks so fresh.
Matte or shimmer? How about sheen? I don’t like sparkles but I love a good sheen to the face.
