A little bit of both. I used to be able to feast and stay up until midnight to open presents, but since I turn into a pumpkin at 9 that’s not happening, ha ha ha! We’ll do a festive meal and fall asleep at our unusual time on the 24th, and then we’ll open presents and have a yummy breakfast on Christmas morning.
Hot cocoa or hot apple cider?
I like both, but I’ll take hot cocoa because I’m less likely to taste the scoop of collagen protein I sneak into it.
Ice skating – yes or no?
Yes! Race ya around the rink. 🙂

Growing up, Christmas Eve was when just my parents and I would open presents. Then Christmas Day, a bunch of my dad’s family would come over so all the cousins and aunts and uncles would exchange. Now it just depends year to year. Try to get together with some of my husbands family too.

Apple cider, though both are rather sweet!
Ice skating – yes or no?
Yes! I learned how pretty young living in North Dakota.

Wreath. Even though I grew up in the cold I don’t tolerate it well!
Do you celebrate the night before (24th) or on Christmas day (25th)? We used to celebrate on Christmas Day, but this year due to scheduling conflicts it will be Christmas Eve.

Ice skating – yes or no? I used to, but no more I’m afraid.

Ice skating – yes or no? I wish I could! Ever since I saw the Winter Olympics on TV for the first time in 1968, I wanted to ice skate, but I never lived in an area where that’s common, and my parents sure didn’t have the money for serious training.

Pick a holiday candle scent – pine, cinnamon, peppermint or cranberry? Cinnamon is my first choice. I have some chunks of a cinnamon candle that I’ll eventually use in a wax melter. I also have two large pine candles in jars I sometimes burn, to help pretend I have a real tree here.
Make a wreath or build a snowman? Snowman, if we EVER had enough snow to build a proper one. It really takes a lot of snow to build a 5 to 6 foot snowman.

My family celebrated in the 24th, mostly because there were two nieces born near Christmas. My parents wanted to celebrate early so that Christmas could come down early and those noeces could have a place to have a birthday celebration without Christmas decorations.

Ice skating – yes or no? Nope. I out in the skates and I fall down. Plus, I live in Phoenix now, and there is no real ice for skating.

Do you celebrate the night before (24th) or on Christmas day (25th)? We attend a Christmas Eve evening service at our church, then home for cocoa and cookies. Gifts are Christmas morning.
Hot cocoa or hot apple cider? Cocoa. It’s funny in that I’m not a big fan of most chocolate but I love cocoa.
