Uh, oh… Someone spiked the punch!
I’ve never heard that in reference to actual punch before, but I’ve always wanted to say it.
How goes the weekend? Good, I hope. I had a pretty relaxing afternoon, I’m happy to report. No news is good news, right? Oh, I finally caught the last episode of Project Runway online. I don’t want to spoil the ending if you haven’t seen it yet, but what did you think? Did the right person win (I think so!)?
Because it was sunny today I couldn’t stop thinking about the beach, which led me to think about coral (and surfing) and the subject of today’s giveaway, Benefit’s Spiked Punch lipgloss, one of the new Ultra Shines Lip Shine glosses I’ve been lurving lately (see it in action here).

Spiked Punch, like the other Ultra Shines Lip Shine glosses, radiates a mirror-like finish and packs pigment to spare. It doesn’t hit counters until May, so this is an early peak.

I buff my lips a little with a soft toothbrush, to get rid of any dry bits, then slather them with Smith’s Rosebud balm. Old school, but that’s why it’s still around- it works!
I love using Jouer Lips Moisture because it makes my lips soft and then I use my favorite Amway lipstick ontop. It looks great!

I’m loving burts bees replenish lip balm and I do use it mainly at night right before i go to bed.
I exfoliate my lips by gently rubbing my toothbrush over them! It works quite well..then i moisturize before bed with either Cake’s lip butter or Lush’s lip balm in Honey trap!
I use a homemade lip scrub (cinnamon,sugar,honey,evoo) twice a week & follow up with non-petroleum jelly! I wake up with this softest supple lips!
I use a dry wash cloth to exfoliate my lips, then I put a little plain lip balm like burt’s bees or simple vaseline on. Thanks, would love to try this lip gloss.
I don’t know if I have a favourite of all time, but I’m loving MAC Venetian right now! The perfect blue-red wash of colour.
My current favorite lipgloss is Laura Mercier’s Lip Plumper in Persimmon.
Still trying to figure out the keeping lips looking nice thing. I had routine that was working pretty well but it doesn’t seem to be really working anymore.. =/

Hi!! my current fav lip gloss is bare esscentuals bare minerals 100% natural lip gloss….I love it, it’s sooo moisturizing and feels good on my lips..stays long, no smell issue!!
I do a sugar paste scrub every other week, and use lots of Smith’s Rosebud Salve lip balm!
My fav lip gloss of the moment is DuWop venom gloss in Lantana, the light pink has been helping me get into spring mode!
Funnily enough, I ALWAYS apply a good thick layer of lip balm before sleeping… makes my lips so much softer! I love the labello line – now taken over by nivea. Mmm and just a hint of scent that disappears fast. So good!
I brush my lips when I brush my teeth morning and evening and I alway put on a liberal coat of Born Lippy lip balm from The Body Shop after. In the mornings I wipe off the lip balm before I put on my lip stick or gloss. As for my lips I have tons of glosses and lipsticks but my go to is Airy Fairy by Rimmel with some kind of pinky sheer and shimmery gloss. Airy Fairy is a great neutral to pink lip on me.

I’ve been seriously loving on Neutrogena’s MoistureShine Lip Soother in Shine. It’s pretty much a straight-up gloss, not a lot of color. It also starts out a little sticky, but after about 5 minutes it kind of just sticks to your lips and provides lots of moisture and shine for quite a long time. I grabbed a tube when the sun broke through the clouds and I wanted some SPF for my lips, and I’m a huge fan now! I do wish it was a bit more pigmented, but the moisture it lends my lips totally makes up for it.
When my lips are feeling flaky and dry I mix up a homemade scrub using olive oil and sugar. Rub all over your lips (and your hands while you’re at it!) and rinse. It’s a cheap and effective way of making your lips smooth & soft, especially if you do it at night.

Old-school, but I love the standard Carmex in squeezy tubes – I slather a thick layer on right before bed every night. It soaks into my lips overnight to soften and keep the chaps away, even in winter time. And a tube is $1.50 or something ridiculously cheap – I haven’t found a high end balm I like better, and moisturizing lips overnight lets me use whatever gloss, stick, or balm I want to use during the day.

aquaphor is the best for chapped lips–too bad they aren’t flavored!
To keep my lips in great shape I slather (and I do mean slather) on Smith’s Mocha Rose lip balm. It’s great and often times my lips are still a little glossy looking in the morning. My current favorite lip gloss is Perfectly Unordinary dazzleglass creme or whatever they were called. I just got it from a CCO and it rules.
I put on vaseline at night and during the day I use good ol fashioned carmex. I have a container of carmex in my car, a few at home and at my desk at work.
I use Vaseline to moisturize my lips every night, I find it works better than lip balms!
My current favorite gloss has got to be Korres’s Cherry Lip Gloss in Fuchsia! 😀

I am obsessed with Monet Minerals Addiction lip gloss…it smells so good and makes my lips so soft. It doubles as a gloss AND a balm!

I exfoliate my lips with my toothbrush and then put vaseline on my lips before bed. It helps keep them soft!
Favorite lip gloss of the moment? I’m liking pixi lip gloss in a sheer red color. After about an hour on it sort of looks like a soft pink. Very cool!

To make you lipstick last longer and give more vibrant color, use a stain. I prefer stains as opposed to pencils myself.

I usually apply a lip balm first, and then the equality lipstick from the all races all ages collection by MAC, on top I’m loving the ember glow lipglass….perfect nude combo for everyday wear 🙂
I think my current favorite gloss is MAC Love Nectar. I’m also loving (but have apparently already lost since I bought it two weeks ago) NARS Orgasm lip gloss. ARGH!
I use Smith’s Strawberry Rosebud lip balm at night. In the morning, I wake up with insanely soft lips. My favorite lipgloss right now is Clinique’s lip smoothies in Goodness Grapecious. It’s so pretty and sheer and moisturizing!
Def applying lip balm before bed is a great idea, but when I forget to do that, I slick on some vaseline right before my morning shower and when I come out, my lips are absolutely PERFECT. It’s fast and super easy and then I don’t go to bed with a bunch of vaseline on my lips.
I use a washcloth to exfoliate my lips and use Nivea lip balm. My fave lipglosses are Nymphette, Love Nectar, and Oyster Girl.
Hey Karen! I make sure I put on lip balm every night before bed so that I have nice, soft lips in the morning. My current favorite lip gloss is Revlon’s Super Lustrous in Coral Reef. No offensive smell, not too sticky, and a gorgeous color. Best of all, it’s cheap. 🙂

I have eczema, and as a result, my lips have a tendency to be very dry. I find that applying Aquaphor (Vaseline would work too) right after I brush my teeth/before I start the whole hair and makeup process, leaves my lips moisturized all day long!
Benetint is my favorite gloss!
I use the LUSH Lip Scrub to keep my lips soft and smooth. It works great at exfoliating the lips. I love it!

Favorite lipgloss? Stila lipglaze. The stuff is insane. The only problem I have is the pen application. The “click-click-click” sound sounds like a machine gun when my classroom is quiet because everyone is taking a test!
my favorite gloss? lancome’s juicy tubes PURE line. discontinued now, but i LOVED the soy creme color that I bought the last 2 i could find in my area!
I use a sugar lip scrub every week or two and whenever I’m using lipstick I always apply a clear lip liner first to keep the color organized.

Korres in pretty much all the colors… Although I also tried smashbox’s O recently and the color does always look great and it saves me time by making the decision of what color to wear for me!

On nights when it’s extra chilly, my lips tend to dry out even more, and so what I do is apply lip balm like usual, but then i top it off with some tackier clear gloss; the thickness of the gloss makes sure my lip balm doesn’t fade away all night. =]

Lately I’ve been addicted to Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural – just enough for every day, but great color and super cheap!!
i put my prep+prime microfine lip finisher before i start doing my makeup, it has a scrub side and a lip treatment side. scrub side is the best thing ever.
and before i apple my lipstick or lipgloss i have to use urban decay lip primer potion. it is the second best thing 🙂
also when i am at home and before going to bed, i always wear some kind of a lip treatment like nivea lip moisturizers, mac naked honey skin salve or mac tinted lip conditioner
My favorite lipgloss of all time is NARS Turkish Delight. I recommend it for anyone looking for a light flattering pink!

there are a few things that i do to keep my lips looking healthy. the first one is drinking enough water. and the second tip is, lip balm! i love burt’s bees lip balm.

Hmm, I like to slather lip balm on before I sleep so that my lips stay soft and exfoliate them after a shower. Does that count?
My favorite trick is to put lip balm on before bed too! and then in the morning i gently exfoliate with my toothbrush! And my favorite lip gloss right now is MAC’s Big Baby – I wish it wasnt so incredibly sticky though 🙁
Vaseline all the way. If my lips are dry or chapped I’ll slather a good amount on it before going to bed, it’s brilliant: next day = supersoft lips

Jack Black’s Intense Therapy Lip Balm, Lemon and Chamomile flavor with SPF 25 is THE best lip balm I’ve ever used. Makes my lips soft and supple, glossy, smells great, tastes great, etc etc. I use it before application of anything else on my lips.
I love my NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in French Kiss!
I have chronic dry lips and I use these awesome Ecotool round sponge-like things to help keep them smooth and soft. They’re so awesome at exfoliating.

I get my lip gloss to stay on longer by gently exfoliating my lips with a wet wash cloth, applying lip balm without petroleum jelly or mineral oil in it, use MAC lip prep + prime, MAC subculture lip liner and MAC nymphette or Prrr lipglass. One other thing I do to get my gloss to last: I try not to rub my lips together too much after apllication or lick my lips at all.

for great lips i exfoliate my lips everyday with a toothbrush. and put on Korres lipbutter at night. And I will have soft and luscious lips the next day!
I use Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment underneath all other lip products. It’s expensive, but it’s the best.

i love putting some e. ardens 8h creme on lips when i go to bed, and wake up with soft lips!!
I tent to use a lipbalm below any gloss or lipstick I use. I think my favourite gloss is Hotwire lacquer by Nars.
My trick is to keep hydrated. I always feel like when I drink lots of water, I never have dry lips. I also make sure that I put chapstick on before bed.
Rather than using lip scrubs on my lips, I just take a clean, damp toothbrush and slough off any dead skin and put on some chapstick afterwards – keeps my lips nice and smooth.
Oooh! I just fell in love with Lancombe Color Fever Gloss in Burning up! I didn’t think i’d be able to wear corally orange colours, but this is SO gorgeous! Especially with a light wash of Melon pigment over my eyelids – so pretty for summer!
I also love that it smells like roses, not so fond of the rose-ish taste though, LOL.

WAY 1: I use a nude concelear or foundation under my lipgloss or lipstick, so the colour will show better.

I love my easy-peasey lip scrub that I whip up in the kitchen a few times a week. A pinch of sugar in the palm, topped off with a bit of olive oil. Slicking on a lip balm like Carmex Ultra Moisture helps afterward.

i love the Buxom Lips lipgloss in Amber. its tingly, smells like cinnamon, and is a gorgeous colour.
My favorite lip tricks are slathering my lips with lip balm and then gently exfoliating with a soft washcloth. Using Aquaphor at night works too!
Northing – but my wife does everything.
My trick is to use a concealer as a base for very bright and nude colours, beacause my lipcolour is red/brownish. Or a translusent powder.
And my favorite lipgloss is “L’oreal glam shine 6h” in the colour 103 “Forever Nude” It’s such a pretty rose colour with golden sparkles, the perfect nude colour :D. Too bad it’s goint to be discontinued :(.

Ive been using Neosporin Night Lip Treatment religiously since last year and it works. Every 2 days or so I also do a sugar scrub to exfoliate my lips … 🙂
a trick to keeping your lips soft is to use honey on them and leave it on for half an hour, no matter how tempting it is- do not lick the honey off! wipe or wash it off. this will also make your lips look plumper.

My current favorite gloss is from Gosh Cosmetics, although I am pretty sure the gloss I picked up was a LE from the holiday release. It’s black, which looks frightening in the tube, but when you slick it on it just ever so slightly deepens your lips, or if you’re wearing lip color, transforms it into this deep and velvety-plush looking version of the colour you’re wearing.

This color really does look like summer! I tend to favor Lancome glosses, but am also a big fan of Burt’s Bees and Rosebud salve.
i cover one of my fingers with smith’s rosebud salve and then dip that finger into sugar and use it to exfoliate my lips. then i put some vaseline on my lips and let it sink in. finally i apply my current favorite gloss… bobbi brown lipgloss in nougat!

I scrub them with sugar and olive oil to make them extra soft and exfoliate them. I also use lip balm at night so they stay soft. Before I put on my lipgloss/stick in the morning I also coat on a layer of lip balm first.

A great tip for all who have Clarisonic… Whenever i use my Clarisonic brush i exfoliate my lips with the brush . Makes my lips beautifully exfoliated and all pink.. perfect for a gloss like this.. My secret? When I brush my teeth at night I exfoliate my lips with a toothbrush. Then I apply some Aquaphor before bed. I wake up to softer, smoother and (dare I say it?) plumper lips! 🙂

I usually exfoliate my lips when I get out of the shower using a dry face cloth. I find that it works better then using any old lip scrub, to prevent it from going into my mouth. Then, I apply my favorite lipbalm (I’m currently loving a pina colada flavored lipbalm – yum!) My lips are all plump and ready to go! My favorite lipgloss is the new Liberty of London Tinted Lipglass by MAC in English Accents.
I buff my lips when I’m cleansing with my Clarisonic. Well, I don’t see why i shouldn’t! Then I smear on a thick layer of Kiehls, and I head off to bed.

My favourite gloss of the moment is Clinique Long Last Glosswear (with SPF – can’t beat that) in Guavagold.
The best lip care i swear by is NIVEA lip balm. Its in a chapstick like screw up tube the NAVY blue one. Its a blast of pure moisture that your lips will thank you for.
I always put on balm as the last thing I do before bed – Carmex and Qtica are my current faves for night treatment.

To keep my lips looking great I always wear lip balm under lip gloss/lipstick. That way not only does my gloss/color apply better, I don’t feel the stickiness, and my lips don’t get dried out. I like Vaseline’s Lip Therapy and Aquafina’s original lip balm, both of which are really cheap too!!!

i love benefit products! i was at sephora the day of my prom to grab a few things to do my makeup but just my luck one of the benefit makeup artists were in the house and did my prom makeup for me! it was wonderful! I never had a chance to try benefit products until that day. she did this amazing neutral smokey eye with a bright lip using benetint and i got compliments all day! i hope i can try this one out 🙂
For some reason, lip balms don’t seem to work its effect on me. Something I do is apply a clear thick lip gloss at night and when I wake up in the morning, the dead layer of skin on my lips is totally loose so I just scrub that off with a face towel. Smooth surface with no unsightliness. Works every time I tell ya.
I like using mac tendertones before I go to bed. Makes my lips so conditioned by the morning.

Shoutout to drugstore brands! Sally Hansen Maximum Plumping Lip Treatment in Clearly Heartfelt. Looks dark in the tube but goes on more nude. Feels cool and really does plump a little bit. I also have it in Clearly Passionate, a pinky nude.

For lips: moisturize, exfoliate and protect. Chapstick moisturizer with SPF 15 is my favorite friend: costs one dollar and is a miracle on my lips. For an exfoliator, I use Benefit’s Dr. Feelgood scrub (it’s expensive, but so worth it!).
I slather on quite a bit of lip balm before bed (I’m currently loving those spherical organic EOS ones), and wake-up with a smooth and supple pout!
I don’t have a particular spiffy trick – But i do make sure to apply lip soother and lick the edge of a glass before i drink so my gloss doesn’t smear 🙂

I love to use the C.O. Bigelow sugar lip scrub once a week before bed. It helps get rid of any flakiness and any dryness. Then I follow up with the C.O. Bigelow Cinnamint Mentha lip shine and voila! Super silky smooth lips!
Maybe this sounds weird, but I always lightly brush my lips to exfoliate them when I brush my teeth, then I follow it up with my HG balm, Kiehls #1 Lip Balm!

The trick that I use to keep my lips looking great is…..(DRUMROLL PLEASE)!! Right after my shower and once before bedtime I have one of those Travel Toothbrushes in a case that I put either Vaseline or Un~Petrolium Jelly n I Brush my lips gently for about 10-15 seconds and then I imediately put on Extreme Lip Plumper by Victoria Secret n It leaves my lips extremely soft!! (STINGS A BIT) n they seem to plump up more than if I didn’t use the Toothbrush!! My hubbie LUVZ when I do this n they do feel n look GREAAAT!!
Applying Rosebud Salve constantly works well for me! I’ve got a zillion tins stashed in every drawer of my house. I love that stuff!

I am a make up junkie to the extreme but my greatest weakness is lip gloss. When I enter a department store, I am literally pulled toward the cosmetic counters by some unearthly force that no person can fight. The prettier the gloss, the more weak in the knees I become. I can spend hours going from counter to counter in the cosmetics department, driving anyone I’m with absolutely nuts, which is why I now only shop alone.
I love the MAC glosses but there’s something about these new Benefit glosses that keeps me coming back to this page for another look at your swatches. All the colors are beautiful and I think they’d all look good on all different skin tones which is pretty unusual.
So for my beauty tip that will make even your prettiest glosses look even better is this:
First, I line my lips with Mally’s nude lipliner for glosses. This liner is the best because it’s nude in color, so you never get that horrible Bozo the Clown look where you have a lipliner ring around your lips but the lipstick or gloss on your lips has disappeared. However, it creates a nude barrier, preventing your lipstick and glosses from bleeding. This particular lip pencil by Mally is designed specifically to prevent lipgloss from bleeding. Personally, I don’t know of any other pencil that does the same thing.
Then I apply a thin coat of Urban Decay lip primer
THEN, I coat my lips with Advanced therapy LipFusion XL (The $50 treatment) and let it set for about 45 seconds, giving your lips that plumped look most of us wish we had permanently.
Finally, you put on your favorite lipstick followed by your favorite gloss OR you simply apply your favorite lip gloss(my personal preference is gloss ONLY)
As for my favorite gloss for the moment, and my answer would change minute to minute depending on my mood, I would have to say it is presently Yve St Laurent (YSL) Exclusive Golden Gloss #29. These glosses are quite pricey but in my opinion, well worth it.

Ahhh! I love glosses. Anyway, my tips:
Exfoliate those babies with a soft toothbrush (or you can use some sugar mixed with a bit of water, or you can buy a lip exfoliator…but I go the toothbrush route!) then apply Vaseline on them before going to bed. This makes your lips super soft! I do it often, it works wonders especially when it’s nasty outside!
Right now, my absolute FAVORITE lipgloss is Air Kiss by Clinique 🙂
Lip balm (I prefer one with shea butter) at night and an exfoliator (I love Tarte’s FRXtion) once or twice a week!

i like to keep tubes of lip balm all over the place so that i can always access one. there’s no point in having a $20 lip balm if you can’t find it when you need it!
To make my lips look great, I use a brown sugar scrub to get the dry skin off. I apply lip balm before bed and before lipstick or gloss. Sometimes I use colored lip balm instead of lipstick for more lip conditioning.
Argan oil stick on my lips before my bed really helps them stay soft and smooth!
One word – Vaseline. I slather it on to keep my lips looking great. I put it on at night, during the day, when I’m bored…

Pretty basic but I just use chapstick overnight daily to moisturize my lips!
Nars lip lacquers are divine. I love babydoll and eros.
1 – I put on a lip balm while I get ready in the morning or before putting on makeup and let that soak into my lips and moisturize them,that way when I put on lipgloss/lipstick it goes on smoother.
2 – I put on an overnight lip treatment @ night /and use a sugar scrub to get the dry nasty flakes off my lips as needed 🙂

I moisturize my lips with Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1. This stuff is pretty awesome and it’s even more awesome when once or twice a year, Kiehl’s emails me a voucher for a free one!

I keep my lips soft by religiously exfoliating with a sugar scrub that I make once a week, sufficient to last an entire week, and keep in my shower. So every morning I slough off nasty dead skin and it’s super easy when I’m showering. Next, Palmer’s cocoa butter lipbalm. Often overlooked, it’s simply the bomb.

I also use a lipbalm before going to bed (really like MAC’s Naked Honey Salve for this purpose), and lately I’ve been loving my Moistly lipgelee from MAC -it may have been discontinued recently. I love the feel and scent of it, and that it contains no shimmer. Only a sheer wash of red-berry.
by now, i’m completely in love with the YSL rouge voluptè lipsticks! they make always my lips look great! my favorite one is n.23 luscious pink!!!
My current favourite gloss is from a local Brazilian brand, called O Boticario. The gloss is Intense in colour 331 – a buildable red that goes from MLBB to party-ready lips.
I’m looking for my “favorirte” lip gloss right now! Mainly my old go-to is a Wet n Wild l/g that I think is called Blushberry. To keep my lips looking great I slather on lip balm every chance I get. Would love to try a coral color this summer!!
Every time I brush my teeth, I also gently brush my lips before rinsing, and follow up with some Chapstick. Winters are brutal on the skin here so this is a must during the cold and dry months!
My favorite lipgloss is Gash by Urban Decay!
My favorite lipbalm is Lanolips, an Australian brand. Pure Medical Grade Lanolin 🙂 And they come in a nice range of sheer shades, too.

I really like Carmex to keep my lips soft and moist. I’ve been wearing it nightly for nearly 20 years now!
Been using the new Chanel lip creme at night – works great. Aquaphor is also good & alot less moola.
My fave gloss right now is Rimmel’s vinyl lips in the color Megastar 🙂

I rely on exfoliating my lips with my toothbrush after I brush my teeth at night. Then I love slathering on Kiehl’s lip balm – in coconut for that vacation feel!

i’ll rub a damp washcloth over my lips first thing in the shower (so it’s clean- duh) to exfoliate.
i sleep with an excessive amount of vaseline on my lips so i wake up with the softest lips ever

Carmex and a toothbrush after I brush my teeth and juicy tubes in lychee because the slight purple tint makes my teeth look whiter and the smell is faboush.

I put Aquaphor on my lips every night before going to bed (keep it on my bedside table). My favorite lip gloss right now is Clinique Fireberry (or Guava Gold, depending on my mood).
My current favorite gloss is MAC’s Nymphette.
I love principessa lipgloss in kitten pink. It can be a bit hard to track down, but so worth it!
my fav gloss right now is clinques almost lipstick in black honey…. if youve never seen this color on you NEED to try it, its pretty much amazing.
if im feeling extra shimmery, i use smashbox lip enhancing gloss in lucious lips.

i love to wear a bold lip so when i do i prep lips with a balm to keep them moist and then i use a lip brush to paint on a creamy lip stick. the result :bold lips that last the whole day and your lips wont feel dry 🙂

I always have chapstick with me, and use it often.
a trick i use to keep my lips looking great: after i brush my teeth and rinse off all the toothpaste yuckings, i gently scrub my lips using a circluar motion. takes off all the dry old skin and leaves them looking soft. right after, apply some vaseline or your favorite lip chap 🙂
It has to be CARMEX MINT CHAPSTICK hands down! Makes your lips sooooooo soft and has that tingly feeling. I find myself reapplying just for fun 🙂
NYX lipgloss – doesnt break the bank and also doesnt make my lips peel like some of the other less expensive brands.
I use a dry toothbrush to gently remove dead skin from my lips during the winter time before bed. I then use a lip balm and go to sleep. When I wake, my lips are super soft. =)
I always use a lip conditioner before bed!

My HG lip balm/treatment whatevs is Eucerin Aquafor. It’s not even a lip balm, it’s just an intense moisturizer, but nothing I’ve tried has left my lips feeling moisturized for so long. I love it because I barely ever feel I have to reapply throughout the day and it has no taste or fragrance. YAY!

I love Strawberry Chap-stick, It always keeps my lips soft. A trick I use to keep my lips soft is brushing a wet SOFT toothbrush GENTLY over my lips once every other week. After this I swipe on my strawberry Chap-stick.
I received a sample of La Roche-Posay’s Ceralip from a friend. It is the best lip repair cream! I put it on before going to sleep and I wake up with the softest lips ever! It beats my former routine of chapstick. I was surprised a few months ago when I entered my local CVS and found it there! Now I need to stock up 🙂

My favorite gloss is a clear, unbranded type from my dermatologist – I use it day and night to keep my lips moisturized (and boy do my lips like to peel/get dry). I use it also as a primer underneath Benefit’s Full-Finish Lipstick in Do Tell or La La Land, my top two favorites. 🙂

Nice beautiful plump lips are as easy as cleansing and exfoliating with a soft toothbrush & lip balm. I really haven’t experimented to much with lips glosses, I’m more of a primer, liner & matte lips stick gal for the more glamorous look. But I’ll be sure to try this lip gloss… it really looks pretty
