MAC Jeanius Lipstick in Pretty Please on lips
Hey, girlie. 🙂 Thought you might like to see a couple of pieces from the upcoming MAC Jeanius Collection in action (arrives March 3 in North America; internationally some time in March).
The denim-inspired collection consists of cool-toned makeup in shades of of blue, gray, silver, black, pink, burgundy and black. Across these pics here, I’m wearing nine of the 16 pieces.

These are cool-toned colors, and I think many are a tad too cool for me, at least on their own. I love the color concept and the products themselves, but I would need to add some other colors (like greens or a warm matte brown) to pull them off.
Are you thinking about getting anything from the collection next week? My favorites here are Pink Cult Blush, Docile Lipglass, Pretty Please Lipstick and Motorhead Eyeshadow. What are yours?

I am a product of the 80s and therefore trained to instantly wince when I see anything that even vaguely belongs in the blue eyeshadow category. I think I’ll pass on these.
LOL… I’m an ’80s baby too. I get freaked out when I see spiral perms/side wings.

Yeah, the eyeshadows don’t interest me. I am only interested in pink cult blush and frayed to order nail polish. I am defiantly a warm/yellow toned person and this color palette is a huge miss for me. On th other hand, summer colors look fab on me! Bring on summer!

I actually love all of this, and I thought I’d go for the safety of my pinks. Nope, I’ll be getting my blue and plum on come the 3rd! Can I hear my checkbook say “What!” Yeah, I can.

Motorhead shadow is kind of amazing, btw, especially if you like blues.
I love all the shadows and the embossed print on it 😀 the lipgloss and lipsticks just doesn’t do it for me though. And the blush is too cool toned for me. You’ve so right about all the colours being cool toned but the shadows still looks stunning on you!

The collection doesn’t really win me over, but I like the lippies OK 🙂 It will probably just be a matter of time though… Blue is all around these days, getting more and more used to it. Sooner or later I’ll probably follow the herd… (might as well admit)

Blue can be fun. The easiest way I know to work it is do apply it as a liner. You could also try patting it on the lid and then doing a neutral in the crease — super easy and super wearable!

When you put the shadows on, are you avoiding the little “rivet”, or blending it all together with your brush?

For this look I blended it all together. The rivet is an overspray, so it disappears fairly quickly.
Is pretty please lipstick really shimmery? I steered away from it for a while because I really don’t like shimmer lipsticks but this one looks great on you. Thanks for having such a great blog.
