Didn’t stop me from playing with makeup, though (few things ever do!). 🙂 I wanted to show you a few items from the upcoming MAC Riveting collection which arrives on counters next Thursday. I’ve got one or two more detailed lip and nail swatch posts planned; this one’s just a quick look.

I wonder how sheer the silver lipstick is…it might work mixing with a brighter pink color. Pretty cool collection color, I like it overall
Ugh, I know how you feel… my immune system is wack and I get colds all the time. But playing with makeup is pretty much a cure-all, no? 😀
I have no idea what I would ever wear metallic silver lipstick with, but I *adore* Metal Maven. I’m sure there’s some way to make it wearable. Maybe layered under some pink gloss? All I know is I want some!

Ohhh…Riveting looks much better swatched than in the tube. Might need to check that out. I was supposed to go for a MAC makeover today but was still snowed in. Bummer.
Ooooh! Riveting is the only launch that I’ve been excited for all year — these swatches are only fueling my lust for the collection. I can’t wait to see more posts with them!

Hi Karen! True Babe, Full Fuchsia, and Studded are on my radar, but Metal Maven and Riveting just don’t seem wearable with my pale skin. I’m sure they could look really edgy, but I’m usually aiming for flattering. Either way, the other two spring and summer collections have me way more excited than this one. Hope you feel better soon! 😀
I want to try everything! If only the “Riveting” lipstick was an amp creme, though. I’ve been wanting a non-rosy brown!

Very bold of MAC! This is a nice breath of fresh air and it reminds me a little bit of illamasqua, but to be completely honest I just want the nail polishes…as much as I LOVE colors like these on other people I would never wear it if I bought it..

Hmmm this collection seems pretty basic and the colours dupable in the permanent collections. I do like the silver nailpolish though.

I love the Riveting lipstick! It reminds me of this awesome color I had from the 80’s It was kinda
grey-ish, kinda purple-ish I also really love the hot pink lipglass in True Babe. Which reminds me, I got a beauty insider alert from Sephora about a free hot pink lip gloss with purchase. So if anybody here is a beauty insider, check their mail!
Very bold collection, but I will pass, as I spent way too much on the Spring Color Forecast collection, and I prefer more wearable colors. The silver lipstick is definitely unique and a bit intriguing!

The Full Fuschia blush looks really pretty but on your hand it’s not as sheer as I would have hoped. I don’t want to look like an old lady. What do you think, would the blush be ok on fair skin?
I would love to see you do a look with Metal Maven l/s. It’s gorgeous, but what on earth do you do with it???
