What’s the story, morning glory? Happy Thursday to ya. 🙂 You know how much I love MAC Viva Glam, right? I thought that maybe you’d like to check out their latest VG color, MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2, available now in both a Lipstick and Lipglass ($14.50 each).

Unlike last year’s pale pink Viva Glam Gaga shade, the new color’s more of a flesh-toned nude. Check out the swatches below and let me know if you think it’s a go (ooh, call me MC Karen ’cause I just made a rhyme!).

Unluckily colours like that completely DON’T suite me&my quite naturally pale complexion, and I just look like a zombie with a tube of concealer over my lips. 😉 I do think it would be a good option for a veeery smoky eye look, since the lipstick/gloss is a very basic colour.

I’m heading to the MAC store tonight for some things. Kind of on the fence with these. Even tho i have upwards of 20 nude shades from multiple brands, i’m always in search of the perfect nude that will call out to me “hello lover!” I think I might try the gloss, I have a few liners in mind to pair it with. I do like viva glam V gloss, but i digress… I will def. try the lipstick just in case.

I’m in the “nice on the right complexion but not for me” bandwagon here. I’m pretty fair (Bobbi Brown Porcelain, which I hear is NC10-ish?) and I think nudes end up too… monochromatic?… on skintones like mine.

My favorite Viva Glams are V and VI (not the Fergie one, the permanent one). I have Cyndi too, which is gorgeous, but I have very few bright-lip-worthy occasions to wear that one.

I ordered the gloss last night…the lipstick looks so utterly monochromatic (not a tinge of pink or peach to soften it up) that I think I’d look pretty bad wearing it. I’m hoping the lipglass will either look nice on its own or maybe soften up a too-intense lipstick color.

I bought Viva Glam Gaga 2 today and I have to say…it’s a hard nude to wear for those of us with warm undertones. I find the color is not very pretty on it’s own on my complexion. But mixed with a little bit of red lip gloss, it looks really pretty and nice. I actually love the formula and the way it feels on my lips…I wish it was more friendly to those of us with warm undertones though. It actually looks pretty wearable on you, Karen. I like the gloss on you a lot more than I liked it on me! 🙂

Hey Karen I went today to swatch them at the mac counter and to my surprize there was nobody in the line hurrying to get it, totally not the the same as last week when there were literally lines waiting to get wonder woman. Do u believe that at this mac counter they only had 4 msfs in pink power. I was not the 6th in that line when it was gone. Anyways, today I actually only got the gaga 2 lipglass, I think it would really go nice with my Yash lipstick. The lipstick itself was so white on my nc43-45 skin so i opted not to get it.

      Hi Megan,

I think you could probably pull it off… if it washes you out you could always try doing a slightly darker neutral lip liner first and then pop the lipstick/gloss on top.

I love the gloss on you, but not the lipstick. I think because you’re so naturally bronzed. I’d die for your skin tone, then no constant self-tanner application twice a week!

I am stuck between getting this or emancipation from the wonder woman colllection. I have the same skin colour as you (are you filipino? if you are, me too!) so which one do you think is better for me for everyday use? I like to keep colours closer to my natural lip colour which is equal to “posh it up” but a bit darker.
