Product Spotlight: MAC More the Mehr-ier Powder Kiss Liquid Lipcolour

I found a new must-have nude lipstick for your MAC collection!

In a current beauty world where color is seemingly dominated by warm reddish and orangey brown tones, it’s refreshing to see a cool-toned lippie every once in a while, don’t you think?

Enter More the Mehr-ier, from the new MAC Powder Kiss Liquid Lipcolour collection!

MAC was very cheeky with the name — Mehr-ier, for “merrier.” It’s a reference to one of their most iconic nude lipsticks, Mehr, which, fun fact, first appeared in the 2010 MAC Mickey Contractor collection. It’s since become a member of MAC’s permanent lipstick collection, and is now here in the new Powder Kiss Liquid Lipstick formula.

The eyeshadow I’m wearing, in case you’re wondering, is Urban Decay’s Stoned Vibes palette.

The color is very similar to the original Mehr, just a tinge darker. It’s a nude mauve, and this is going to sound weird, but it’s the same color as my gums (LOL!). For that reason, it reads like a nude lipstick on my NC42 skin, which is why I love it. I’ve also seen the original Mehr lipstick on lighter and darker skin tones (fast forward to 2:11 in the video), and it’s a bestseller because it really does work well on everyone.

More the Mehr-ier!

The original Mehr comes in the MAC Matte lipstick formula, which some people find challenging to wear, especially if they have lip lines and/or flakes. I think the Powder Kiss Liquid Lipstick formula is a little easier to wear because the fluffy liquid formula kinda floats on top of your lips, so it doesn’t have that same tightly gripping feeling, and it’s less drying and more forgiving than the Matte.

If you’re a fan of MAC nude lippies like Velvet Teddy or Half-n-Half, or if you wear rose gold eyeshadows often or taupes like Satin Taupe or Shale, I think you’ll love More the Mehr-ier.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

This is stunning! Mehr is beautiful but a slightly darker version is perfect for the fall.

Don’t feel weird about colour matching lippies with your gums, I do it all the time and it’s truly a foolproof method! I wish I would’ve known about it when I was younger.

It’s such a good color! I’m glad they decided to do it with this formula. 🙂

Yeah, me, too. I’m glad I don’t have any old pictures of my hiding somewhere with some of the ghoulish colors I used to wear on my lips! Light pinks and corals were never for me!!

MAC Mehr is one of my favorites and I always wished it was a tad deeper. So hurrah! Will definitely be checking this one out.

Very pretty and natural color! And the formula sounds nice too. Very matte lipsticks can be kind of drying for me.

I think you’ll like this, Ruchita, as long as you don’t mind the liquid not being as “grippy.” 🙂

      How are you doing?

Ah, you’d posted a Caturday link about matching nudes to your gum color, as I recall. It feels like a couple of weeks ago so I hope you don’t tell me it was last year. HAHA! Btw, I was giving you 100% credit for the cheeky Mehr-ier when I saw the headline. I actually thought the Mehr was the name and you added the ier so I was like “that’s so clever, Karen!”. Darn MAC, stealing all the thunder. 😉

Happy Friday, btw! I hope you all have a great weekend (and get lots of rain)!

Happy Friday to you too! BTW, we got fog the other morning (so, moisture in the air!) and it was GLORIOUS.

I love that kind of color, especially when I wear a darker eye. Not too washed out, but not competing with the eye.
