What Are You Wearing on Your Nails?

May 8th, 2010 by Karen 67 Comments

ysl solaris ultra orange

Yup, it’s official — I’m going through an orange polish phase. 🙂 Today I wore Yves Saint Laurent’s Ultra Orange ($20, from the YSL Summer 2010 collection).

It’s another bright reddish orange like last week’s Milani Awesome Orange, but more opaque, and with a thicker formula that dries to a glossier finish.

How about you? What are you wearing on your tips and toes?

Nothing on my fingers, but Mommy and I went for pedicures yesterday (my Mother’s Day present to her), and I’m wearing Lippmann’s Purple Rain on my toesies.

I forget what color my mom ended up getting, but she was so relaxed that she fell asleep. Hehe, so cute.

And my mom and I are just about to give each other manicures 🙂 I’m thinking Sally Hansen Blue Blast, which is this pretty sky blue color… and I may just put Essie Matte About You on top. Ever since I found it at Target, I’ve been obsessed.

I love the scented nail polishes from Revlon, the scent lasts for a good two days on my nails. The only downside is that I look like I’m picking my nose when I’m sniffin my fingers =(

MAC for Liberty of London’s Blue India on the fingernails; OPI by Sephora’s Under My Trench Coat on the ol’ toes. Sounds like a disastrous combination? It’s actually quite chic and pretty – much more understated and somber than it might sound, yet with a bit of a shimmery-golden kick on the toes.

You should try it! I think it’d look very pretty on you, since your skin has the most gorgeous tone. It doesn’t look too shabby on my quasi-anemic self either, though!
