3 Chic New Reasons to Bring Your Cheeks to Physicians Formula This Spring

February 20th, 2015 by Karen 23 Comments

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Blush

1. Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Bronzer ($14.95)

Ooh! Fancy pan and fancy bronzer formula. The latter contains argan oil, and it’s supposed to brighten, smooth and tone.

That’s great and all, but they had me at the color. It’s a medium warm brown with a golden sheen, almost like someone down there are at Physicians Formula HQ poured liquid sunshine on the pan.

If you notice any big flecks of gold glitter the first few times you swirl your brush in it, not to worry. The design on the top is an overspray.

Just to note, this one has a strong white floral scent. Luckily, I like it.

For a natural-looking golden glow, I like to dust this just below my cheekbones using a big fluffy brush, and sometimes I also use it as a transition color in my crease.

2. Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Blush ($12.95)

Confession: every single time I open this blush I give it a sniff because, my goodness! — it smells delish. Like wild jasmine on a warm summer night…or wild jasmine on a freezing winter night, but the first one sounds better. 🙂

Like the design on the pan of the new bronzer up above, the pattern on this pan is also an overspray (so you might see some big-honkin’ chunks of gold glitter the first few times you use it).

When the overspray’s gone, what’s left is a neutral, mid-toned pink with light reflecting particles. This one creates a lovely youthful glow, and it gets extra credit because it seems to go with everything I wear on my cheeks or lips. This blush easily holds its own with the department store big boys.

I’ve started blending it on the apples of my cheeks after applying the Argan Bronzer. I love that combo so much that I wish the two of them came together in a duo!

3. Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow Palette ($14.95)

This face powder is actually four powders in one, and all of them have a hazy, pearlescent finish, as opposed to a super shiny shimmer, so they’re perfect if you just want a soft cheek glow. You can use the shades individually, or swirled together, as an all-over powder, a highlighter, a blush or a bronzer. Mostly, I use them all swirled together as a highlighter on my upper cheekbones after applying the Argan Blush.

Oh, unlike the Argan Bronzer and Blush, these powders are unscented.

Pretty, the blush in particular. Once again, I love your hair like that!

      Hi Agata,

You need that blush in your life to go with your pink lipsticks. 😉

So thanks for the nice comment about the hair. I’ve been enjoying this style because it gets it out of my eyes, LOL! I feel like a shaggy sheepdog when it’s all over the place. It’s really easy to do — I just pin my bangs back, comb down the flyaways and then set them in place with a hairspray. You should try it sometime! I bet it would look cute on you.

The Nude Wear one is so pretty! I’ve been debating on whether or not to snag one of those… I think I have to now. 😀

      Hi Sarah,

You should grab it! It’s super wearable and not overly frosty. I hope that you like it!

Physician’s Formula is great. I will have to check out the bronzer and blush. I am currently a huge fan of the Organic CC cream – it’s got mostly natural ingredients and hydrates well without being oily. I also love the bronzers when my skin is more tan.

I’m really drawn to the bronzer. You had me at medium warm brown with golden sheen. I’d prolly rock it as a blush. Is it buildable? As in, can you build up the intensity of the color to get increased coverage? I’m taking a trip to Ulta soon & hope they have the new Real Techniques Contour/Sculpting brush. I think that’s the name…oh, have you seen the new NYX Prismatic Shadows?

One or two of them may be coming home with me ☺️

I love how Physician Formula presents their products — so pretty — I may pick up a blush when the line goes on sale. I think $12+ is a lot for a drugstore blush.

The blush looks beautiful. And the bronzer, too! They could have done better with the design pattern on the highlighter, though.

Those blushes have been on my radar for a few weeks now. I think I might need to get one.

SO glad to see these swatched & reviewed; I’ve been eyeing them every time I browse the drugstores…which is often. I have the BB All-In-One Cheek/Lip/Eye Balm in Peach, which looks very orange in the packaging but is much more sheer on my skin. I wear it on my lids & cheeks & it puts me in the mood for sun & summer!

So pretty but why did they have to add fragrance? I’m so allergic, this will have to be a pass

I’ve also been obsessing over Physicians Formula lately. Their bronzers are so beautiful and glowy. I’ve been using them more than my MAC highlights lately

These are so pretty, but the strong fragrance is a no-go. Physician’s Formula is usually great for people with allergies and sensitive skin, so I don’t know why they made these so scented.

I love Physicians Formula cheek products! I wanted this range so bad when I visited US in December last year but I couldn’t find these in the drugstores I visited! Will have to find a way to pick these online.

I almost snagged these this weekend but read the package and when I got to “fragrance” back it went. I know a lot of people are all about the scent but I have huge sensitivity to most chemical fragrances. The colors and formulas look great.
