All Eyes on You? No Sweat, With Make Up For Ever’s $59 Five-Piece All Eyes On You Set

Wearing the new Make Up For Ever All Eyes On You Set ($59)

In one direction, I see cat butt…

In the other, I see a kick-@ss holiday makeup set — in this case, the new $59 five-piece Make Up For Ever All Eyes On You, which caught my attention when it screamed, “stellar value!”

It’s one of the new makeup sets now available at Sephora (doesn’t it seem like there’s a new one every other day?).

Four of the five pieces in the set are discounted and full-size. Purchased separately, the shimmery pinkish beige Aqua Cream #16, the two Aqua Eyes liners in #0L Mat Black and #21L Dark Gray and the tube of jet black Smoky Lash mascara would cost $82, so $59 represents a pretty good savings there.

And the cherry on top? — the fifth piece, a souped-up, sample-sized HD Microfinish Powder. That, and the surprisingly useful “Get The Look” tutorials on the back of the box, take this already good set to the next level.

The Dramatic Glamour Look

MUFE did its fans a solid here by including long-wearing colors that should work well on most skin tones.

I appreciate the three waterproof eye products, because you never know when you’ll get caught in a rainstorm or need perspiration-proof makeup.

Or makeup that won’t run when I tear up watching that commercial for the Mutts Shelter Pet Project airs late at night on TV…

My only gripe? It would have been extra nice if the Smoky Lash Mascara was also waterproof, but that’s just me being picky.

In All Eyes On You, I think MUFE has a great set that many gift-givers will want to keep for themselves.

PRICE: $59
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Sephora stores and online at sephora.com

Speaking of meows… (Weren’t we speaking of meows?)

I love this live photo stream from the Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary in North Carolina.

Thought you might like it, too. 🙂

You look gorgeous! There’s something about pinky-peach eyeshadow that makes everyone look well-rested and enhances the eyes in a more natural look. I love Make Up Forever for their unique eyeshadows, but I actually don’t have a lot from them yet. I think this set would be great. The pink shadow actually reminds me a bit of the Cover Girl cream shadow + primer in pink, only the MUFE shadow has more peach/beige in it.

My week has been zipping by so fast. I can’t believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner! Did I tell you that I’m hosting this year? Yeah, and of course I haven’t done anything to prepare…

I don’t think you can ever have enough peachy pink makeup in your life. 🙂

This is a very MUFE look! Besides the kit on my eyes, I’m also wearing…

Lips: Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in 39 and Lab Shine Star Collection Gloss in S24
Cheeks: Sculpting Blush in 10 and Mat Bronze in 40
      Eyes: Aqua Brow in 25
Face: HD Foundation in 153 (love this for pics, although it’s probably better for oily skin)

…just in case you want to add to your holiday wish list. 😉

I’m trying out UD Naked Skin (*gasp* I’m using a foundation other than Vitalumiere Aqua!) right now – so far I like it. I’ve been curious about the MUFE HD Foundation, but I’ve heard enough people say it’s better for oily skin to know it probably won’t work for me.

            November 14th, 2012 at 7:40 pm

Oh gosh, if you’re dry…yeah, it might be problematic. I love how it photographs on my oily bits, but on my dry areas, not so much.

How are you liking the Naked Skin?

            November 14th, 2012 at 7:58 pm

So far so good 🙂 I don’t really feel it on my face, which is good, and it seems to last throughout the day. I’ve only worn it twice, though, so I’ll have to give it a bit longer before I know for sure!

Hmm, you may want to try NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer or MAC Face & Body sometime. Both handle dry skin well and you can’t feel either sitting on top of the skin. They’re my go-tos right now…

      Hi Agata,

Thanks, my friend! I have to say…MUFE is one of those lines that isn’t flashy, but they do some really beautiful makeup. Have you ever tried their HD Foundation? I’ve been wearing it lately and really liking it.

I have tried their foundation a few years ago and I really loved it. I haven’t bought it recently because my husband thinks it’s crazy to spend that much money on foundation…Last time I was at Sephora I got a sample of the new YSL foundation and I am in love. Have you tried it? Hopefully Santa will bring it to me for X-mas although I also really want Chanel loose powder 🙂

Oooh! So I’ve been wanting to give that foundation a go. Good to know that it’s a winner. I have to stop by and get a sample…I just hope there’s a color that works for me, and that it’s good for dry skin. 🙂

GURL, that Chanel Loose Powder will change your life! I haven’t wanted to use anything else since I started wearing it.

I think you will like it. My skin has been dry lately and it worked perfectly and the Sephora girl matched my shade very well and the foundation comes in a lot of shades.

I def have to put Chanel Loose Powder on my Christmas list. Or my birthday list, that’s even before Christmas 🙂

      Hi Tiffany,

I heart those kitties. I wish I could foster cats but Tabs is very territorial and won’t tolerate even the scent of other kitties on his humans.

Which shades from MUFE’s Aqua Creams do you wear/love?

I don’t have any of them, but that #16 looks so good on you, and I can see that shade working on a range of skin colors.

        I relate to fussy muffin cats, have two brat cats who don’t really get along anymore >_> but they used to, I have photo proof of them snuggling. It won’t be possible to bring any more in… maybe that’s the one thing keeping me from cat lady-level catting? ;_;

It’s a good all purpose color, that #16. You can wear it as a highlighter too. 🙂

Sounds like you’ve got a serious case of cat politics! I think that’s one thing Tabs misses about his outdoor life…thugging amongst the neighborhood toms. Sigh. Anywho, what are you kitties names? And what are they like?

I have two cats, Baby Mew and Kunoichi. I named them based on their personalities a bit, Baby Mew is the oldest but acts like a baby, and “Kunoichi” is Japanese for female ninja. Kuno is pure black and stealthy!

I feel like I’m talking about my kids, lol, but my two cats are both rescues; one was left outside by the highway (mew) and the other was abandoned without food and water in an evicted apartment (kuno). So sad!

Mew is totally spoiled but she polices Kuno. She no longer has survival instincts anymore so we have to be careful not to sit on her. She won’t run! She curls up in the most adorable ways, cute cat picture winner, this one right here.

Kuno is a little panicky but overall rather a fearless cat. She’s the one who gets into things, and she’s clever. I’ve trained her so I can ask her to come or go and she does for the most part. Cute, huh? Kuno has the saddest mewl because of the circumstances of her abandonment. It’s sort of a broken, quiet squeak. I hate to admit it, but it’s this pathetic adorable sound that I can’t resist.

They totally rule the roost, lol. Not too many people dare ask a person to talk about their cats, ^_^
