Bright Colors Are Blooming with the Dolce & Gabbana Blossom Smooth Eye Colour Duo

July 15th, 2010 by Karen 40 Comments

dolce gabbana blossom smooth eye colour duo swatches review photos

The iridescent purple and shimmery reddish copper of the Dolce & Gabbana Smooth Eye Colour Duo in Blossom are so bright that they should have come with shades! Expensive ones ($36 for two shadows, oy vey!).

dolce gabbana blossom smooth eye colour duo swatches review photos

One of 10 powder eyeshadow duos in the company’s permanent line, Blossom lights up lids like a double rainbow all the way across the sky.

I used to love this show…

These brights pack pigment worthy of a capital WHOA! But they aren’t just vivid; they manage to look soft at the same time.

With a good base (today I used Urban Decay Eden), Blossom also appears to stand the test of time. Almost 7 hours so far and the colors are still going strong. 🙂

Now, if we start a write-in campaign and get Dolce & Gabbana to put these on sale every once in a while, we’ll be set! Available at Saks Fifth Avenue stores and online at saksfifthavenue.com. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A

You might like the Dolce & Gabbana Smooth Eye Colour Duo in Blossom if…

  • You deserve a double rainbow (all the way across the sky!)
  • You love bright eye makeup
  • You want a long-lasting eyeshadow that’s also easy to blend

Karen

      Hi Dani,

I’m that way with certain reddish purples. When I wear them I look like I’ve been crying. I guess everyone has those certain colors, ya know?

    Dayum girl that’s bright!

Speaking of udpp, I used it today when I copied your benefit look. Did my makeup about 12 hours ago and it’s still going strong after working and then standing outside for 2.5 hours in 95 degree heat after someone hit my car 🙁

      Dolce & Gabbana Shocking Lipstick
      LipFusion Princess
