Girls, Follow the Boys to This NARS Lip Gloss Set

NARS Sweet Revenge Lipgloss

Best part of my Friday: listening to Salt N’ Pepa’s Push It while watching Tabs lick his tummy. If you’ve ever watched a small dog or cat cross the street while listening to hip-hop in the car, you’ll know why I found it as funny as I did. 🙂

Ah, push it…

Ah, push it…

Second best part of my Friday: swatching the limited edition NARS Follow the Boys Lip Gloss Set ($40).

Sweet Revenge

Turkish Delight

Like the recent Crazy Heart holiday set, Follow the Boys comes with a selection of smaller-than-normal NARS glosses from the company’s permanent line, except in this set there are four instead of five — Turkish Delight (a creamy pale pink), Sweet Revenge (a shimmery peachy pink), Moon Fleet (a glittery gold) and Easy Lover (a sheer hot pink).

If you wear nude lip colors often, this set may be of more interest to you than Crazy Heart because three of its four shades are light neutrals.

My only minor reservation has to do with the faint plasticky fragrance and scent these have — same as the glosses in the Crazy Heart set. Thankfully it fades before the colors do.

What do ya think, and which set do you like more between Crazy Heart and Follow the Boys?

Picture these with some smokey eyes before you answer. 🙂

PRICE: $40

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. TGIF! What are you doing tonight? I’m trying to figure out if I’m going to go out or stay in. Tabs says hi.

Girl, you look like Tia Carrera circa Wayne’s World with those bangs – HAWT! I’m hearing “Dream Weaver” in my head right now! You’re lucky that you can rock all the hair looks – sideswept bang, full-on fringe, bare forehead. So jealous.

I don’t think those glosses are pigmented enough for me, but it’s nice that they’re neutral enough to work on pretty much anyone.

Echoing the sentiments of everyone who’s loving the hairstyle on you! As for the glosses, I think I prefer the color range in the Crazy Heart set.

Just hanging out this evening. Did my nails awhile ago and now I’m about to pay some bills. Missy’s whining about something. Who knows with this cat…. she’s probably not happy with the sound of the furnace, but, but sorry kitty, it’s chilly in here!

As for the glosses? Eeh, you’re totally showing them up. They’re cute, but any hint of a plasticky scent usually puts me in Migrane City… :/

Yes! We just got done playing an exhausting game of “Mommy throws a ball, Missy runs to it, and sits down and stares at it until Mommy picks it up and throws it again”, followed by her running like a lunatic after her toy on a stick. Hopefully I can finish typing this before she insists, no, DEMANDS, that I stop typing so she can curl up on my lap and purr while I pet her for the rest of the evening!

Different in a really, really good way. You somehow seem more glowy and refreshed and GLOWY than before! haha. anyways, fantastic post as always. and sorry if my little girly squeals of YOU LOOK PRETTY! are silly.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the nice complements on my hair! It is a little different today — I straightened it and used something new that my stylist gave me called Orofluido:

    http://www.orofluido.com/en/index.html.

It’s great for both shine and volume. My hair gets BIG when I use the stuff.

Also, there seems to be a lot of interest in what’s going on with the eyes here. I’m wearing a mix of several shades from the Urban Decay Black Palette. Do you want a tutorial? Let me know. 🙂

On an unrelated note, I finally purchased three of the Wet n Wild singles from your archaic post. (You know you’re cheap when you wait for a 50% off deal on $2 eyeshadows…) I absolutely LOVE Nutty and Penny. Excellent quality and beautiful colors. I haven’t tested out wear time yet. Brulee is horrible, though. Very chalky and bleh. It barely shows up on the skin.

Everyone always mentions the scent of these but I don’t mind it a all and it fades within seconds. I’m much more concerned with how smooth the product as and how long it lasts and NARS is always one of my favorites when it comes to glosses (..and eyeshadows… and blushes). I’m getting these in the mail next week as part of my Sephora F&F order I recently put in. Seeing the swatches here has me even more excited to receive them!
