I LOL’d at How Strong These $2 Jordana Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Glosses Taste and Smell

Jordana Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Gloss (4)
Wearing Jordana Cosmetics Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Gloss in XOXO

Princess Jordana LOL’d as tendrils of glimmering pink, fruit-scented mist climbed from her creation on the table in front of her, up her gown and along her outstretched arms. And it wasn’t one of those cutesy manga “tee-hee!” giggles either. It was one of those throaty, villainous laughs, like “MWA-HA-HA-HA-HAAA!”

“TWO DOLLARS!” she roared triumphantly. Her assistant, a chubby tabby cat with marbled sides, nodded in devious approval, and then proceeded to lick his tum. “Think of all of the money that lipgloss-obsessed women will save once they discover these hydrating, non-sticky, semi-thick glosses with their sheer-to-medium coverage…

“Think of it, Tabs! With the ducats we’ll save, we’ll finally be able to build a mercenary army of tabbies and begin our conquest of the world!”

Tabs paused, offered the princess an expressionless look, appeared to sneeze once, and then resumed licking his tum.

Okay…

Too much? 🙂 Seriously, though, these $2 Jordana Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Glosses aren’t half bad.

I like the colors, and what’s not to like about the price? — but egad! I was floored by the strong taste and scent. The fragrance hit me over the head like a ton of sweet, fruity plastic, and it lingers as long as the gloss lasts, so about two hours.

Maybe with the taste and scent toned down a little, I’d be an even bigger fan.

PRICE: $2 each
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Walgreens stores and also online

The colors are pretty! Too bad about the smell – that’s something I’m sensitive to and, from your description, know without trying I wouldn’t like :/

I love how you keep your posts entertaining and so much fun to read! No, that intro was not too much at all. 🙂

Quite an impressive color pay off for $2! I’d be willing to give these a go (XOXO looks like a gorgeous berry pink) if only for the affordable price tag. While my wallet my be overjoyed, I doubt my nose will feel the same.

Happy Friday, Karen and Tabs! 😀

Those are very pretty! But what a shame about the scent! I can’t stand an overpowering fragrance in my lip products.

The strong scent is a no-no for me. Remember the NYX soft matte lip cream? Gave me headache!

I don’t mind strong fruit smells as long as they aren’t plastic-y. But for 2 bucks I’ll have to pick one of these up and see if I can handle the smell because the colors look really pretty.

I love the Princess Jordana imagery. What I wouldn’t do for some glimmering pink, fruit-scented mist sometimes!

Too bad. Those are very pretty and I do love some non-sticky gloss but a strong taste or smell is a deal breaker for me.

I got one of these and the smell was so wicked I threw it away (the color was good, if I didn’t toss it I would have kept wearing it and continue being mad). However I do want to try the other Jordana lip item you reviewed recently. Jordana is $1.19 at Food Maxx,.so…

I bought asap and I love it. I adore fruit flavored and scented glosses so the smell does not bother me.

I really love the colors but I don’t think I could deal with such a strong sent.

I love LOL! I buy from Jordana all the time. Currently I have GR8 (LOVE IT!), E-123 (OK), and BFF (LOVE AS WELL). I personally think it doesn’t smell bad, but kinda nice, and it has no taste.
