In the Mood For Nude? The New Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils Just Matte Satisfy You

Wearing Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Midnight Cowboy

So who’s ready to go nude with me? Wait — button up those skinny jeans, ya perverts (although I applaud you for your willingness to let it all hang out!); I’m talking about the two newest additions to the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil line ($18 each).

Waterproof, with a matte finish and a creamy texture that’s smoother than my favorite werewolf’s chest, rosy nude Illegal and plummy nude Midnight Cowboy live up to the long-lasting standard set by UD’s pencil liners, staying put for about six to eight hours on my lips.

This morning I slipped into Illegal, and two big @ss bottles of water, a chai tea latte and a bowl of pumpkin soup later it still looked (almost) as good as new.

These also don’t leave my lips flaky or dry like some of the other matte lip liners I’ve tried, perhaps due to the jojoba oil and vitamin E they contain.

Mostly I’ve worn them by themselves — just line, fill and go — but you could easily spruce ’em up by adding your favorite clear or nude gloss on top.

PRICE: $18

It’s Monday Magazine Mania!!!

Last night, as the weekend wound to a close, I won’t say I was dreading today, but I think it’s fair to say I wasn’t head-over-heels ecstatic about the idea of another Monday.

But then today arrived, and I gotta say — this particular Monday wasn’t that bad at all. I told myself this morning that I was going to power through the day with a positive attitude, and lo and behold, it actually worked! Now I plan to reward myself with one uninterrupted hour on the couch with Vogue, O and Cosmo. 🙂

How was the rest of your day? Do you mind if I ask what’s for dinner tonight? I’m hella hungry right now…

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

LOL! They have lots of good stuff for spring. I’ve been meaning to tell you — the Shadow pencils are much fatter than the regular liners.

Oh, and the name of that TJ’s hot chocolate is “Sipping Chocolate.” It’s very rich and decadent!

I’ll be reviewing the blushes pretty soon, so leave your room on your list for those just in case!

Nachos sound good right now… I do have chips, cheese and salsa. Hmm…

It’s thicker than NARS Dolce Vita. I’ll do a quick comparison swatch after I eat dinner…

        Hey Hafsa,

Soo I can’t seem to find my tube of Dolce Vita (I think it might be hiding in one of purses). I’ll try to swing by Sephora tomorrow to do a comparison swatch. 🙂

I had a somewhat uninspiring meal — Greek yogurt, a few pieces of sushi, a banana and some shortbread cookies. Bluh! I guess that’s what I get for being too lazy to cook!

So, what did you think of The Walking Dead finale? I was disappointed with the doc and the lady who decided to stay behind but understood their motivation completely.

Me too. I guess they want to show that some people are not fighters and that there isn’t a lot of hope for the living at this point. Me–I’d fight to the end!!!

I wanna try these out so bad! Along with a whole bunch of other Urban Decay products! I just hate that we don’t have UD here in my country. I’ve recently just realized the importance of lining my lips so now I’m gonna stock up on lip pencils. Wish I could get my hands on these; the colors look so gorgeous and I love that they’re matte and waterproof!

The wear time on these seems awesome; I’m definitely going to give one a try, especially since they didn’t dry out your lips. I’ve finally nursed mine back to health with the help of some Burt’s Bees lip balm. I’m sure everyone already knows this, but it’s good stuff! 🙂

It’s just the colorless Beeswax Lip Balm (in a chapstick-like tube). It’s peppermint flavored, though, so it’s a little tingly and refreshing. 🙂 I’m really loving it and will definitely have to try some of their colored balms.

    Hey Karen 🙂
I have really really reaaaaally pigmented lips and i feel like i can only wear darker colours.. because lighter colours like peach and baby pink are to light and sheer? Do you know some good light lip products that are really pigmented? 🙂 And have you tried the L’oreal HIP jelly balms? I have one and i love it but it is a really dark colour and i wanna buy a lighter colour but im not sure if they are gonna show on my dark lips? 🙂

    Thanks! 🙂

      Hi Felicia,

Hmm, have you ever tried blanking out your lips first? You could try applying a thin layer of foundation on top of your lips to cancel out the pigmentation, or line and fill them in with a lighter nude shade and then applying your lipstick/gloss. The Urban Decay ones listed above are pretty good. A few others to try: MAC Spice, MAC Cork, MAC Creamola, MAC Pink Treat…

    Hi Karen,
I bought a urban decay 24 7 lip pencil in a nice neutral shade in 2010-2011. Lost it and I can’t remember the shade name and it is discontinued now. If I saw the name i might remember it. Fo you have any idea what shades were discontinued?
I’ve looked everywhere. It wasn’t a light shade nor dark.

    Thank You,

    Hi Karen,
I was wondering if you could tell me which ud lip pencil color most closely resembles Stila liquid lipstick Dolce? I wear a bronze gloss over it and love the look. (Don’t love the Dolce color alone. Also, I would prefer a pencil base. I often use the ud liner deep with the combo which looks great as a liner but to dark as the base for my Stila bronze gloss. I’ve been looking at pics of ud in naked, naked 2, midnight cowboy and now illegal. Which do you think would make the best base and coordinate nicely with both my ud deep liner and bronze gloss. Thank in advance for your invaluable input :). Ronni
