Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk For Brown to Dark Hair Will Raise the Root, Y’all!

Holding my new favorite hair thingamabobber, Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk For Brown to Dark Hair (I may or may not be on third-day hair right now)

Because you and I can comfortably go into TMI territory, I’m guessing/hoping that you won’t be grossed out when I say that I get a weird thrill from seeing how long I can go without washing my hair.

I find it fascinating and kind of disgusting at the same time.

I think the longest I’ve ever gone is five days… Or maybe it was six? I had a killer blowout (’twas glorious! — like in a shampoo commercial), and I hated to see it go…

Obvs, I need a lot of help when I do this, since a woman trying to get by on minimal hair washing cannot do it on unicorn kisses and tabby whiskers alone, and when I say “a lot of help,” I mean copious amounts of dry shampoo, which lately has been Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk for Brown to Dark Hair ($19.50), a tinted aerosol dry shampoo with softening (ooh!) and smoothing (ah!) oat milk and a paraben- and colorant-free formula. It’s designed for all hair types.

Because I love this stuff so much, I currently keep not one, but two bottles on hand.

And I’m also clearing out a place on my bathroom shelf for a third; it’s that serious!

I’ve tried many dry shampoos, and most have been misses, but Klorane’s has all the right moves.

  • It adds crazy-good lift to my roots and keeps my strands feeling soft, not stiff
  • Soaks up all of the oil and grease (ew, I know, but it’s true) and leaves my roots with a natural-looking matte finish
  • It feels comfortable and doesn’t make my scalp itchy or otherwise feel weird (or weirder than usual, ha!)
  • No powdery buildup
  • And it washes out easily with shampoo

I lurve ya!

The root lift is exceptional. My hair has a decent amount of natural volume at the ends, but my roots fall flat. With this dry shampoo, however, my roots practically stand at attention.

But the absolute best thing about this stuff — and it’s something that I think my fellow brunettes will appreciate — is the color of the spray. It’s dark when it comes out of the can, as opposed to the stark white color of many other dry shampoos, so I don’t have to spend forever and a day massaging and brushing it into my roots to disperse and diffuse the spray.

I know that there are other dry shampoos out there made for dark hair, but of the ones I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot! — apparently, I’m really adept at not washing my hair, LOL!), this is the best.

Sometimes fragrance is the deciding factor for me when it comes to dry shampoos, and I think this one smells lovely. It’s like oatmeal and flowers… Very light and non-offensive, and it fades quickly so it doesn’t clash with my perfume.

Oh! — and miracle of miracles, the nozzle on the bottle never gets stuck/clogged, and the spray comes out evenly, too. Those are just two of the little things I also appreciate.

PRICE: $19.50 for a 3.2-oz. bottle
AVAILABILITY: Available now at salons, beauty stores, Pharmaca and online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A+ (I just think this stuff is fab)

Seriously, I was just taking a break from googling dry shampoos for dark hair, and saw this post–thank you for reading my mind! I’ve got super curly hair, so I definitely need something I won’t need to brush out to get rid of the whiteness!

I need to try different dry shampoos, my scalp always gets super itchy when I use them (of course, I’ve only tried a handful of types). My hair is red, so I don’t usually have too much trouble with color issues.

I think I need new shampoo and conditioner altogether now that it’s summer though, sigh.

Oooh. I didn’t know Klorane had a dry shampoo for dark hair. I’ve used their regular one and really like it. I’m waiting on my order for Moroccan Oill dry shampoo for dark hair tones. You should try that one too. Just to be fair, ya know. 😉

my hair has been out of control oily, like almost have to wash every day, but with a new short bob time does not allow that type of luxury so I’m desperately looking for a good dry shampoo.
I tried looking on Sephora and while they have this brand , none of them say “FOR BROWN TO DARK HAIR”. :/
there is one that says natural tint…not sure what that means.
so I tried the links in your post but they also open up to pictures of dry shampoo that don’t say for dark hair either….so does your bottle say for dark hair???

sorry just making sure I get the right stuff 😀

Well I’m always on the hunt for an awesome dry shampoo, so I will see if I can find this one! I think my trusty Batiste is a little drying on my scalp.

Just put this in my cart at Dermstore, and it’s free shipping plus I got a random 15% instant discount! So it’s only 16.57! Can’t wait to try, thanks for the rec. I’ve been wanting to try dry shampoo for my frizzy wavy hair and this looks like a good place to start. Oh, P.S. LOVE THE BLAWG!!!

I haven’t tried that many dry shampoos, but Klorane is definitely my favorite of the ones I have tried. Have you tried any by Colab? I’ve heard about them but haven’t taken the plunge to try them. They come in several scents and in an extreme volume version. http://www.feelunique.com/brands/colab

Klorane is by far the best dry shampoo this girl has ever used. My old fave Biosilk was also good but Klorane gives such good body and lift!!!

I’ve heard only good things about Klorane. I’ve shied away because of the colour — now I don’t have to!

I got this in my Ipsy bag a few months ago and it’s awesome. It really doesn’t show up white in my dark hair, which is a miracle! I’m totally buying more when I run out.

Oh, I’m getting itchy just thinking about not washing my hair for ONE day. My ends would probably appreciate the break but my roots would be a disaster. Even the miracle that is Klorane would fall flat (ba dum dum). 🙂 I know that thicker, drier hair has its own challenges – so I’m glad you found a dry shampoo that you love. I’m going with the “don’t blow dry anything but the roots and bangs” program this summer. It helps.
