Get Your Lips Red-y for the Mistletoe With Kissable Cola-Flavored Lush Santa Baby Lip Tint

Lush Santa Baby Lip Tint
The new Lush Santa Baby Lip Tint

Like a cola-flavored Icee, this new red Lip Tint by Lush is super chill…

Chill, as in relaxed. It’s not cold or anything, although I think it does taste and smell kinda like a cold Coca-Cola Icee, probably on account of the cola flavoring derived from cherry and date extracts.

Hurry down the chimney tonight…

I think of Santa Baby less as a lip tint and more as a sheer matte lipstick in pot packaging. Like a matte lipstick, the finish is flat, and there’s a good amount of pigment in it, ensuring that you can actually (hopefully) see the red color on your lips. I can, and I can still also see my natural lip color peeking through.

It’s all very casually cool…like a sweet pair of distressed jeans or a broken-in leather jacket.

I apply it with my fingers and skip the lip liner, and then have to reapply about every 3-4 hours after that.

In an emergency (uh…a makeup emergency?), it’ll even double as a cream blush.

And the lightweight, non-sticky formula feels like next-to-nothing on my lips, which I like.

Even though Lush loaded Santa Baby with moisturizing ingredients like cocoa butter, fair trade Shea butter and carrot oil, I still feel like it could benefit from a little more moisture… My lips are hella dry, though, and I’m always fighting the good fight against flakes. 🙂

If you don’t have to deal with that drama, then 1) lucky you! — and 2) you probably won’t feel like you need to layer a moisturizing balm underneath this, which is what I’ve ended up doing.

Red isn’t a color that immediately comes to mind when I think of natural lip looks, but here it looks surprisingly natural — like the color of lips after a hot kissing session.

Wear it with a glossy mascara, a hint of tinted moisturizer, and you’re ready for the mistletoe. 🙂

I love the LUSH lip tints! They could do with better packaging though.

This is a beautiful shade of red. I think I will be taking a trip to Lush sooner than I thought, lusting after this and the coordinating lipscrub

The swatch looks so pretty, but I’d want something more moisturizing. :/

I have this one too. I am absolutely in loooove with the color, but I find it very difficult to apply and quite drying. Nothing a little lip balm cannot solve, of course, but still.

I wasn’t so thrilled with the lip tint, but I LOVE this! It smells amazing, looks amazing (different than any other red I have), yes it takes a little bit of moisturization but it’s worth it.

If you are placing an online order, the Eggsnog balm is AMAZING! It feels buttery good and is cinnamon-y.

Wow this is really pigmented! I was expecting your typical sheer lip balm by the packaging but it’s definitely like a lipstick. It looks really pretty on you!

I love lip tints especially when its too cold out to wear lipstick- you can still add some color to your smile!

I like the sheerness of the color but I’m not a fan of lip products in pots. A nice little tube with doe-foot applicator is more to my liking. 🙂
