MAC Blue Peep Fluidline From the MAC Is Beauty Collection: Little Bo Peep May Have Lost Her Sheep, But I Found a Perfect Fluidline

March 23rd, 2015 by Karen 32 Comments

MAC Fluidline in Blue Peep

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assume that MAC Blue Peep Fluidline does not have anything to do with Little Bo Peep (of nursery rhyme fame), but for the record, I am picturing Little Bo Peep going to a MAC counter and sitting down and telling the MUA, “Put all that ish on me, and make it bright!”

And all her sheep would be right next to her…

That would be cute. 🙂

The day I walk into a Nordstrom and see sheep at the MAC counter — that will be a great day.

A super cool, rare gem, Blue Peep is a bangin’ bright gel liner re-promote in the MAC Is Beauty collection, and I can’t remember the last time I saw it. I think it’s one of those pieces MAC doesn’t release very often.

Even though it’s a Fluidline, it doesn’t perform the same as all the others. They vary because some of them have shimmer or glitter, and some of them just adhere a little better to the skin than others. Blue Peep is one of those for me that does everything right.

It’s super smooth and pigmented, and when I brush it on my skin, I don’t see any patchy areas, which happens sometimes when I use some of the other Fluidlines.

Yes, there’s a sea of turquoise liners out there, it’s true, but I find that most of them have shimmer or glitter. It’s rare to find a flat matte turquoise liner like this one that doesn’t look dull. Blue Peep is so vibrant and intense that you just can’t miss it.

I mostly use it as a straight-up liner on my upper lash lines. I think it looks really cool with a slight kitten flick and a gradient with a darker navy or a rich blue at the outer corners.

If you’re feeling this one, you might want to grab a backup, because who knows when we’ll see it again?

Oh, and also, added bonus — it’s not just a liner. You can also use it as a base for other eyeshadows (yup, even though it’s turquoise).

It may sound crazy, but this turquoise is very useful. I bet it would look gorgeous with any other blues (or greens or golds) in your collection.

Love the way you played with this liner! It’s definitely one of those shades that intimidates me, but you’ve inspired me to get creative and try it out!

      Hi Kelly B.,

Turquoise is totally wearable… Maybe start with something subtle, like a thin line on the upper lash line, or smudge it along the lower lash line.

Once you start wearing it you won’t be able to stop!

      Hi Laurissa,

It is a beautiful and unusual teal to have! And the great thing is you’ll be able to easily transition it into summer. 🙂 C’mon, do it!

      Hi Rachel R.,

Thank you. I’m usually a one shade kinda girl when it comes to liner but now I’m all about the gradients, lol. I hope you had a nice weekend! Did you do anything fun? El Hub and I had dinner with friends on Saturday night and then on Sunday we went furniture shopping.

Hi, Karen. I’ve done gradient shadow, but never liner. I’ll have to steal this idea from you.

Friday night my hubby and I went to an awards ceremony for his workplace at a swanky venue, so I got to be all glammed up. Hubby got his third trade secret, which was cool. It was tons of fun, but the banquet chairs were awful, so yesterday and today my back injury is complaining. (My car got rear-ended 2 years ago).

The rest of the weekend we ran some errands and started moving my son out of the group home. He’ll be living with us till we find him something else.
