No Brush? No Problem! Introducing the Long-Lasting LORAC PRO Cream Eyeliner + Brush

August 22nd, 2012 by Karen 13 Comments

The culmination of a new LORAC/NASA collaboration, the brush attached to the cap of LORAC’s new Pro Cream Eyeliner + Brush will be sending Earth’s next unmanned spacecraft to Mars!

Just kidding. NASA had nothing to do with this product…but I still think the brush is pretty dope. 🙂

Unscrewing the end of the cap reveals the tiny brush tucked away inside. Hello, convenience.

I usually reach for gels or pencils to line my eyes, but I’ve been enjoying these long-wearing cream liners lately, which come in Dark Brown, Plum, Navy and Black ($19 each). Pretty great for softly lined eye looks and/or smudgy eyes.

The fluffy cream formula takes a good, long while to dry, allowing for enough time to manipulate it on my lids.

For soft eyeliner looks with diffused edges, like when I’m going for more of a natural look, I apply it with either the brush inside the cap, or Sonia Kashuk’s Bent Liner Brush, before blurring the edges further with a MAC 239.

The formula lasts on my lids for about eight hours, assuming I don’t fiddle with, or rub at my eyes (I know, bad habit).

And that brush, while convenient, isn’t something I’d want to use every day. Great for touch-ups when I’m out and about, but it’s awfully short and feels a little awkward in my paws.

PRICE: $19
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Sephora stores, Ulta and ulta.com
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B+

Hard-hearted harbinger of haggis

“‘He wants you back,’ he screamed into the night air like a fireman going to a window that has no fire…”

So I Married an Axe Murderer is another one of those movies I can watch over and over again. 🙂

“Come, let us dance like children of the night!”

Haha! I love that scene.

It takes place in SF, too, so whenever I watch it I see some of my old stomping grounds.

Hope you had a good day today. See you in a few.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Im curious about it but I feel like for someone who is used to a full sized brush, the brush on this one might be a tad tiny. 🙂

“in your paws…” lol 🙂 I’d prefer to use my own brush, too.

These look exactly like the Revlon gel liners that were launched here few weeks back, even the shades are similar except Revlon has a charcoal instead of a Navy!

Hey Karen! I’m looking for the best navy liner for the fall. Any suggestions?? I’m considering Laura Mercier Cake Eye Liner that you posted on before but what are your thoughts? Thanks! 🙂

The eggplant color is calling to me! But that brush doesn’t look too wonderful. Which color do you have on in the picture? It looks lovely!

Would you clean the brush after using?

    I love this poem:

    She is a thief
    You gotta belief
She stole my heart and my cat
