These Limited Edition Paul & Joe Fall 2015 Cheek Color + Compacts Are Smoother Than the Fur on a Kitten’s Fluffy Tum

Why should baby cats be the only ones who get to freely roam about looking all smooth and cute and silky? It’s not fair! Blush wearers should also be able to flaunt colorful cheeks with the same silky smoothness as a kitten’s fur, because silky smoothness is a right, not a privilege!

Thankfully, Paul & Joe has addressed this important issue facing the makeup loving cat lady community with their new Limited Edition Fall 2015 Cheek Color + Compacts.

Their new blush duos, which were inspired by French sweet treats, apply color evenly and smoothly to cheeks, and dude! — they’re really good.

I think Paul & Joe’s color products are sometimes seen as more cutesy and packaging-driven than truly effective, but these soft, easy-to-blend blushes hold their own performance-wise with the MAC Sheertones. They range from medium to fully pigmented and apply evenly without any patchiness.

The three duos — a twinkling beige and warm pink called Cinnamon Roast 001, a red and sweet pink called Glace A La Fraise 002 and a salmon and coral called Cafe Calva 003 ($18 each) — are all scented with Paul & Joe’s strong orange flower and mimosa fragrance (it’s strong, but I like it).

The refillable cases/compacts are sold separately in three limited edition prints for $10 each (one has LOTS OF CATS), and since they don’t include a mirror, you’ll have to hunt one down when you touch up your cheeks, which for me with these blushes is about every six hours.

Keep a look out for these when they arrive online and at Paul & Joe counters this August.

PRICE: $18 for each of the blush duos and $10 for each of the refillable cases
AVAILABILITY: Limited edition, and coming August 2015 to Paul & Joe counters and online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A- (These are smooth, excellent performers, but I wish the compacts had a mirror. And the fragrance might be a bit strong for some.)

Karen

Adorable packaging. I don’t think the no mirror is a big deal .. I’ve never touched up my blush on the go anyway.

Cutest packaging ever! I think my favorite of the bunch is the one with the cats, it’s just adorable 🙂 I haven’t tried anything from this brand so I might just give these a go.

Yes I do. It’s like, “Hay gurl, haaaaay.”

I feel like the world is so much better when kitties are on things like compacts, you know?

Yes – agreed! Especially when they’re a bit cheeky. Ooooh, look at me. Very punny today. 😉

      Hey Pamela,

Aren’t they?! How long have you been following makeup? Have you ever seen Paul & Joe’s first cat lady collection? It was AMAZING.

Apparently not long enough! This was the first I’d heard of them, so I googled the company. Such cute stuff!! And I NEED the cup and saucer! Thanks for introducing Paul & Joe to me.
