These Dolce & Gabbana Summer 2011 Crayon Intense Eyeliners Prefer Lash Lines to Water

July 23rd, 2011 by Karen 24 Comments

Gosh, I sure do love the color of Dolce & Gabbana’s two new limited edition Summer 2011 Crayon Intense Eyeliners…

They’re from the new Italian Summertime Collection (here are some of the lipsticks from the release). First, there’s Agave, a shimmery khaki green with a hint of gold, and also Bronzo, a bronzy taupe.

I think both look faboo along my lash line, with Agave seeming to emphasize my brown eyes while Bronzo has more of a brightening effect, sort of like Chanel’s Rose Platine.

Agave (left) and Bronzo (right)

Agave on the upper lash line and Bronzo on the lower

I can’t prove it, but I swear they’re softer than other D&G liners I’ve tried, and I like it. I’m also impressed by the six hours they manage to last on my lash line. Unfortunately, they don’t like my water line, where they give up the ghost after about two hours, tops.

Fab colors, but for $29, perfection would be nice.

PRICE: $29
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Saks Fifth Avenue and also online

I really like the colors, but it would be had for me to pay nearly 30 bucks for an eyeliner when I have really great options for a lot less.

I want to see you in blue eyeliner Karen! Ever since NARS Outremer I’ve been obsessed in seeing you in blue eye makeup. I don’t think I could pull it off nearly as well as you do, so I live vicariously through you! 🙂

Pretty colors but not for $29! Holy expensiveness! Are there any dupes for cheaper price? I really do like Agave but I just can’t bring myself to buy it for that price.

Both colors are beautiful, and I really like the packaging. Only two hours on the water line is kind of unacceptable, though :/

I guess for the people who don’t line their waterlines it would be okay… I do love having the flexibility, though!

Yeah, they’re pretty nice, especially along the lash line.

Have you ever tried Dolce & Gabbana makeup before?

Pretty good! I just wrapped up a great photo shoot!. I did a fun tropical blues look on the model using Urban Decay Electric and MAC Clarity, with a mix of MAC DeepTruth and UD Goddess in the outer v. I can’t wait to post the photos on my blog!

I have these and they last all day on me upper eyelid. I don’t use them on the waterline. I am actually a big fan of them. The new fall color eyeliners are green and gold, can’t wait to scoop them up.

Speaking of waterline, I am DESPERATELY SEEKING a liner that stays put on my waterline without having it being erased esp on the corners within 1 hr! I’ve tried numerous waterproof liners including ones from Mac and nothing seems to last on me. Please HELP! ps, Absolutely love your site!
