These Glam Liners Are Baroque! The Dolce & Gabbana Animalier Collection Glam Liners Are Loose on Lids and Tempting Black Liner Lovers

Wearing the new Dolce & Gabbana Glam Liner in Baroque Silver ($34) on my upper lash lines

It happens to every black cat liner lover eventually…

The rut. You fall into one. One day, there you are, just going about your business and finishing up those TPS reports at your desk, when you peer into your makeup bag and ask yourself, “Hmm…what liner should I wear?”

And then you snap. “Oh, yeah. Black Liner! Again! For like the umpteenth time in a row!”

I’m definitely guilty of falling into that rut. On the one hand, “Cat eyes are classic and never go out of style!” But on the other, sometimes you just gotta paint yourself out of that corner, which is where these new metallic Dolce & Gabbana’s Glam Liners ($34 each) come in.

Like makeup made for angels, these long-lasting liquid liners shimmer and shine. Glittery gunmetal gray Baroque Silver, glittery burnished copper Baroque Bronze and gilded gold Baroque (not shown here) burst on the scene with the new Animalier holiday collection, bound and determined to break up the beautiful monotony of black liner.

And, hello, lazy brigade! — they couldn’t be a whole lot easier to use. Dolce & Gabbana included a soft, skinny brush with just enough give to it to give me (and hopefully you) lots of control over your line weights.

They also developed a quick-drying liquid formula that doesn’t creep…into fine lines.

The result? How ’bout crisp, sharp edges like a samurai’s katana — and perfect cat eye flicks requiring next to no effort.

Oh, and then there’s the tiny flecks of multicolored glitter, which I find pretty hard to resist… 🙂

Baroque Bronze on the left and Baroque Silver on the right… See those teeny, tiny flecks of glitter? Cute!

And because these Glam Liners dry quicker than a martini (in under a minute), you’ll have more time in your day to ponder things like whether to spread Nutella or Trader’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread (sooo good!) on your toast.

They’re a splurge for $34, but in return you get easy, all-day lining tastefully loaded with glitter and pigment.

PRICE: $34 each

Sweater Quest 2012: One woman’s journey to find the perfect holiday sweater…

UPDATE, THURSDAY, DEC. 6, 2012 — Yup, still looking, but I think I found some contenders, thanks to reader Fieran, who recommended I try Loft.

Which I did online — and spotted some cute things. They also have petite sizes, which is great when you’re always having to roll up the ends of your sleeves because they’re too long, #shortgirlproblems.

I really, really wanted to make it over to the store tonight, but now I’m too tired. I’ve been trying this thing where I get up at 5:30 or so in the morning to get an earlier start, and I seem to have overlooked the fact that getting up earlier also means conking out earlier at night.

I love getting an early start to my day because I feel more productive, but when you aren’t naturally a morning person, it can kinda…suck.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

These are stunning! I’m more comfortable with black eyeliners. But this season I want to try something glittery. I’m loving Baroque Bronze, such a pretty color.

Like makeup made for angels indeed! There’s nothing I love more than sparkly liner + cat eye, I like to do mine with Illamasqua Wisdom 😀 Baroque Bronze is really really gorgeous though, maybe I’ll have to give that a swatch sometime soon hmmm…

P.S. Love those sweaters! The one with the bow is calling my name, can’t wait to see which one you pick at the end of your holiday sweater quest!

I really, really like Baroque Bronze. I think I might be getting a bit cocky about liquid liners since Front of the Line is so easy to use. 🙂 I find black to be a bit harsh sometimes, so the Bronze is definitely a strong contender for me!
