Bronzed, Poreless and Poised for Sun-Kissed Skin: The New Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Pore Perfecting Bronzer

March 8th, 2013 by Karen 22 Comments

Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Pore Perfecting Bronzer
That’s the new Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Pore Perfecting Bronzer ($30) from the Hello Sunshine 2013 summer collection just below my cheekbones

I wouldn’t exactly say it erases pores, or gives me supernaturally smooth skin, but the new $30 Bronzed & Poreless Pore Perfecting Powder from Too Faced does seem to smooth things out.

Where my pores are usually like, “OH, HAI! WE’RE KAREN’S PORES!” wearing Bronzed & Poreless Pore Perfecting Powder’s super soft, fine grains, my pores are definitely softer spoken, like “Oh, hello. Don’t mind me. I’m just one of Karen’s pores.” 🙂

Bronzed & Poreless, one of two powders in the new Hello Sunshine summer collection, is the more matte and orange of the two. The other one, Endless Summer 16-Hour Long-Wear Bronzer, showcases more gold.

If you’re looking for warmth above all else and/or have light or medium skin tone, I’d probably go with Bronzed & Poreless instead of Endless Summer, as Bronzed & Poreless sits on the lighter end of the bronzing spectrum.

On me and my NC42 skin tone, I feel like it’s just okay… The bronzed effect is pretty mellow, but that could be a good thing. Lighter lovelies looking to add some overall warmth to their skin without any attention-grabbing shimmer just may think it’s great.

Hey Karen! Your skin looks SMOOVE and gorgeous! Even though I really don’t need another bronzer, this one looks like it really smooths out the skin and I like that! I like looking smooth. 🙂
    Happy Friday!! Any plans?

Thanks, Tracy. 🙂 Hooray for smooooove-looking skin.

This weekend El Hub and I are having a date night. Nothing too fancy, just dinner and a movie. He’s been working a lot, so I haven’t see much of him.

      What are you up to?

Sounds like a great night to me!
Nothing-my hubby is out of town working in LA, so it’s just me and my daughter! We’re watching Finding Bigfoot right now LOL. I love that show. If I had an extra $500 to spend I’d go squatching with them!

    That bronzer looks nice 🙂

I don’t wear bronzers, but that’s because I don’t know how to use it.
Where does one actually wear bronzer? And since this one is matte, can I also use it to contour? (Not that I could contour, but would be handy if I start learning.)

      Hi Let,

It’s a pretty one that’s easy to work with! Might be a good starter bronzer for ya if your skin’s light-to-medium.

I use a small face brush with a sort of a pointy end (a MAC 135, which isn’t on the website for some reason, but something shaped like the 188 would work too). After I load it with product, I place it near my ear, and drag it along my cheek (just below my cheekbones) toward my nose. Then I drag it back up to my ear again. This lays down the color. Then, to blend, I use the same brush and I work it vertically up and down to soften it all out.

Let me know if you have any other questions! Happy to help.

I’m not a fan of Too Faced… I always feel anti-climatic with them.

You’ve got to try their La Creme lipsticks. They’ll convert ya!

Now that i have seen this one, i think ill choose this one over the 16 hour one. I like my bronzers matte.

      Hi C’enna,

Hope you love it. It’s really easy to work with and the powder’s nice and butter.

Happy Friday, BTW! What are you up to this weekend?

I think I like the 16hr one better. You should do a step by step tutorial on how to apply bronzer because I am not sure I am doing it right. HAPPY WEEKEND! And happy International Women’s Day.

      Hi Yelena,

If you’re not in love with it, then I’m sure there’s something else we can find that you absolutely love to pieces. What do you like/not like about it?

Thanks Karen. Well for reference I think i am NC42 as well. I don’t find that it brightens up my face that much, so while I like a matte finish, I don’t like a dull finish if that makes sense. (I don’t like shimmer, so by brightening I just mean a little natural glow).I also don’t find that it lasts all day (typically my days range from regular 9-5 and sometimes 6) and I work in an office so its not like I’m outdoors.

So to brighten my face up I have to put another bronzer (lorac) on top so I don’t look so tired. I have sun bunny bronzer and don’t like the shimmer.
