Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick: New Shades!

September 2nd, 2015 by Karen 11 Comments

From the left: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Beso, Sheer Bittersweet, Gash, Protest, Speedball and Strip ($22 each, available now exclusively on urbandecay.com)

The Urban Decay Naked palettes, as much as I love ’em, are total attention hogs, aren’t they? Between them and all that neutral eyeshadow action, and Urban Decay’s famous (infamous?) bright eyeshadow palettes, there isn’t much room left in the spotlight for other great products, like UD’s awesome Revolution Lipsticks.

And that’s a shame because the Revolutions are some of my favorite pieces in the entire line. I mean, where do I start?? The creaminess, the moisture, or how they hug your lips like they’re all up on ’em doing the nasty on the dance floor?

There’s so much to take in, and so much to love… 🙂 When you’re ready, click “Play” on the video.

As of right meow there are eight new shades of $22 Revolution Lipstick available exclusively on their website. Some are bright, like bad-@ss purple Speedball (Of course there’s a purple; it’s UD! That’s they’re signature color.), and some other interesting shades, too, like brownish mauve Strip, a nod to the ’90s — seriously, all you’d need is super skinny brows and a black velvet choker, and you’d look like you just stepped out of a hot tub time machine circa 1995!

I talk about six of the new shades in this video.

Products mentioned

  • Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipsticks in Beso
  • Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Bittersweet
  • Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Speedball
  • Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Protest
  • Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Strip
  • Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Gash

As always, thank you for watching, fellow lippie lover! I hope you’re having a great night. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

That dark purple!!! ❤︎ ❤︎ ❤︎ The swatch doesn’t look very even, though, as it often happens with this type of colors.

I really want Beso in my life! But am I the only one who gets a bit annoyed when products are exclusive to just one website? I want options!

I agree with you, Revolution lipsticks are amazing! I haven’t tried matte ones yet but I love the regular ones and the sheer ones too! Recently when I was at Sephora I was actually looking at the matte UD Revolution lipsticks and somebody put Lovelight (from the reg line) next to them and it caught my attention, such a pretty shade!

Seems like there is a lot to like about these! And I’m still giggling over your black, velvet choker comment. 🙂

Gash! Yes! I’m pretty sure I’m going to need Speedball…and Strip…and Protest. I really like Sheer Beso, but I have Sheer Rapture and I think they’re pretty close. Sheer Bittersweet is pretty, but it looks much more pink that the regular version, I think. I wish it were more purple.

I need Gash in my life!

My hubby gets that song stuck in his head too. I personally hate it so I will change the station when it’s on! It’s rare something gets stuck in my head that I’m not loving.

Running late to the party here, but are these ever going to be available in Sephora? Sometimes new things start at UD and are added at the stores later. I see a few colors I like- starting with the 2 sheer colors- but I’d love to swatch/try them first. Does anyone know? Thanks!
