Will Your Lips Love the New Urban Decay Lip Love Honey-Infused Lip Therapy?

Dude, sometimes I feel like we are totally on the same page! Yesterday when we looked at sheer Failbait, one of the five new Urban Decay Lip Love Honey-Infused Lip Therapy ($16) tubes, I thought, “There’s something very Victoria’s Secret-y about this,” and some of you gals said the same thing too.

Whether Lip Love was designed with Vicky gloss in mind, I dunno. But what I do know is this: it feels great on my lips.

Lip Love behaves a lot like the fabulously moisturizing Clinique Superbalms (LOVE!). It combines faint color with loads of moisture, which makes it ideal for days when I don’t want to fuss with my lip color, and/or when my lips feel extra dry. Wear time is about two hours.

It feels thick, but not sticky, and I actually really like the honey flavor and scent, which comes off strong at first but fades after about five minutes.

Urban Decay Lip Love’s conditioning formula contains honey, millet oil, vitamin C, and jojoba and apricot seed oils, among other nifty-sounding ingredients.

All five sheer shades come in a tube with a slant tip applicator for easy application. If Failbait’s sheer coral isn’t your thing, check out Drizzle (a sheer baby pink), Lolita (a sheer bright pink), Stung (a sheer blackberry) and Taunt (a sheer nude).

The full list of ingredients…

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Styrene/Isoprene Copolymer, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Panicum Miliaceum (Millet) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Honey Extract, Flavor (Aroma), Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Sodium Saccharin, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Polyester-3.

The packaging strikes me as atypically girly for Urban Decay, but I really like the products inside. If you’ve been craving a hydrating, cruelty-free (PAWS UP!) lip treatment with a hint of tint, you might want to give these Lip Loves a try.

PRICE: $16 for a 0.34-oz. tube
AVAILABILITY: Coming soon to Sephora, Ulta and select Macy’s stores; available now at urbandecay.com

I love all the new products Urban Decay has come out with recently! The name of the gloss is a little… borderline creepy though. Of course that wouldn’t stop me from buying it! Happy Friday Karen and Tabs! I hope this week has been better to you. 🙂

At first glance it resembled YSL’s tube glosses (forgot the name, sorry!) to me but that doesn’t change the fact that I want to try them =) Happy Friday!

What concealer are you wearing in the recent pictures Karen? Or is it that you have slept phenomenally well and looking fresh as a daisy?

?Or am i just seeing things and nothing has changed? Whatever it is i love it ! What is it?

that’s a little more than I’d pay for a gloss (I’m typically hardcore drugstore about glosses), but it sure looks pretty!

    This looks great! Super flattering.

I have a bit of a lipgloss obsession. My husband and I do a funny he said / she said marriage blog and our last post was about my “addiction”…!

Wow – they look exactly like VS! I think that cheapens them a bit unfortunately.

Interesting. I will have to check this out – I kinda like the Vicky glosses. I’d like to see how this compares and possibly out performs.

This actually reminds me of YSL’s baume abricot, it’s a glossy lip balm that smells like apricots, and $25. The packaging looks just like the UD. I used to have it but the apricot smell made me nauseous after a bit. I will definitely check out the UD, love anything honey.

sounds great but i cannot stand the new packaging. reminds me of a generic squeezy lip gloss tube. where’s the ud signature style?!

I totally agree, this is really lacking UD’s edge! I wish they’d bring back Lip Gunk.
