You Could Be Naughty and Nice with the Becca Fallen Angel Palette

Becca Fallen Angel Palette: Lip & Cheek Creme in Nectar and Highlighter in Narcissus on cheeks; Lip Gloss in Sunrise on lips

Santa knows if you’ve been naughty or nice, but Becca wants you to be both. Their new Fallen Angel Collection, seven pieces for eyes, face and lips, brings a bit of sugar to your spice.

Tawny peach lips, and cheeks with a hint of honied sparkle, contrast with sooty smokey eyes in shades of black, violet, navy and mauve, resulting in one heck of a wickedly beautiful look.

Love the imagery for this campaign!

I like to think of Becca, a pricey indie line from Australia, as sort of a beach resort-hopping version of Chanel, because I think they handle color in a similarly elegant way, except more relaxed and dressed down.

A lot of their products are waterproof, long-wearing and made to multitask, and, while interesting enough to satisfy fervent color fiends, most of them are still practical enough to wear every day.

The Fallen Angel Palette shown here, one of two palettes in the Fallen Angel Collection, comes with three creamy peach products for a pricey $52. The rather small collection also includes a few individual products (listed below), but sadly none of them are cheap.

becca fallen angel palette review swatches photos palette open

All three of them are peaches. The pan in the middle, Lip & Cheek Cream in Nectar, adds a hint of tawny peach to lips and cheeks, Sunrise Lip Gloss (on the left) makes lips shimmer, and opalescent Narcissus Highlighter (on the right) adds a peachy shine to cheeks, eyes, the forehead, chin and down the nose.

The Entire Becca Fallen Angel Collection

  • Enigma Palette for eyes, $49
For smokey eyes, try this trio of moody powder eyeshadows in Armure (a soft fawn with a demi matte) Silensia (a smokey denim matte) and Surah (a mauve shimmer).
  • Line & Define Slim Pencil in Santorini, $23
This skinny dual-ended pencil has a navy eyeliner on one end and a flesh-toned eye brightener on the other.
  • Line & Illuminate Jumbo Pencil in Belize, $23
This jumbo pencil for smokey eye looks comes with a sooty blackish violet eyeliner on one end and a smokey grayish mauve illuminator on the other.
  • Eye Tint in Pewter, $24
This rich grayish black cream eyeshadow glides on as a cream but dries to a powder finish, and it makes for a perfect base for dark smokey eyes.
  • Fallen Angel Palette for lips and cheeks, $52
The creamy peaches in this palette make dark eyes impossible to overlook.

Fallen Angel is something I’d throw in my makeup bag before a last-minute weekend getaway, perhaps with Panthera Mascara, the Shu Uemura Lash Curler, Benefit Instant Brow and MAC Blot.

PRICE: $52 (!)
AVAILABILITY: At select beauty stores and online.

Speaking of angels, it’s one of my favorite Madge songs, evah!

Hope you’re having a good weekend. 🙂 It’s raining cats (sorry, Tabs!) and dogs here today.

Peach! Navy! Oh, these are my colors! Good thing they’re not more readily available or I’d be in deep trouble with those prices…. when it’s online I can (sometimes) resist temptation. Those look gorgeous, though…..

It’s been raining off and on today up in Sonoma County, too. I hope it lets up a bit tomorrow, I’ve got places to go, people to see, things to do!

      Hi Heidi,

That color combo happens to be one of my weak spots too, le sigh!

There’s a Pure Beauty in Corte Madera that happens to carry Becca, btw. 😉 The selection’s small (and I dunno if they have the new collection in yet), but it’s there just in case you get the urge.

The weather’s been yucky around here, too. Did you guys have lightning? Ours was so bad that our windows were shaking!

Aww, poor Missy! Tabs was pretty freaked out when the lightning started shaking the windows. He’s still pissed off about the rain though… you know how cats get.

Watcha got planned for the rest of the weekend?

Church this morning (woke up to sun but now it’s clouding up again, so fingers crossed I at least get there dry), then I’m hoping to stop at Whole Foods after to pick up the rest of the veggies I need for Thanksgiving dinner. We had heavy rain last night, but thankfully no thunder and lightening so Missy made it through the night without a nervous breakdown.

It’s blue skies down here, so hopefully you were able to avoid the rain. I’m hitting up Whole Paycheck later today! I’m in the mood for something yummy from their salad bar.

Give Missy a big hug for me! Nervous cats need extra lovin’ when it storms, aww.

It’s a Madonna classic. The entire album — which I have on vinyl, YIKES! — is great.

I don’t quite get why young people are so infatuated by the ’80s! It was a rough time, fashion wise!

Haha. My husband and I were just talking about the 80s (he is 8 years older than I am). He was expressing distaste for them and said, “I LIVED through them.” I said, “I did, too — and I’m glad I wasn’t dressing myself.”

Made it through church and Whole Foods (can’t call it Whole Paycheck since I got out of there just spending about 8 bucks), and no rain! It’s so weird…. a friend from church was talking about her cats freaking out from the thunder yesterday…. she lives no more than three miles from me and at my house we had no thunder. I will give Missy that hug as soon as I can get ahold of her. She’s being aloof today, probably blames me for the weather!

Weekend is good! Lots of prep for Thanksgiving. Yesterday I made cake truffles and cinnamon-eggnog scones. Today I’m making ice cream (flavor TBD) and parmesan-rosemary gougeres.

Poor Mark is on day two of five 12-hr days in a row, plus he has two nights of a 3-hr class right after work and one 1-hr class. It’s all training for participating in a really awesome study, but he is going to be a giant ball of stress by Thanksgiving. I plan to give him a BIG glass of wine before the family arrives!!

Um, can I come over and gorge? LOL… I’m so hungry right now. We haven’t gone shopping since we’re about to leave for Hawaii so all I’ve been eating for the past few days is bullsh*t food. Cake truffles and scones sounds divine right now. As for the ice cream I vote for Nutella or pumpkin flavor!

Your poor hubby sounds like a busy bee! Well, when the holiday rolls around at least you guys will be able to relax a little. Wine will be a must, for sure.

We have the opposite problem — we did all of our Thanksgiving shopping last week, so we’re trying not to eat everything before Thursday! I still have to make one more trip to Whole Foods, which I am dreading, but I only need chorizo and flowers so hopefully I can zip in and out.

I think the ice cream is going to be cinnamon. We bought some snickerdoodle ice cream and it is AMAZING but it’s almost gone and I’m not going back to HEB until after the holiday.

Come on over, nobody will miss a few truffles or scones! 😀

Hm, I have never tried anything from Becca. Perhaps someday I will. Right now I’m trying to use some of the new stuff I bought (more like hauled) from the US. I picked up the last piece of Chanel Les Tentations quad t duty free and I’m trying to make some good use of it (but it gives me some major fall out, I look like a Christmas ornament!). I also need to foray into pigments seeing as I have a few but have not touched them yet. I keep worrying that I’ll hit the tub or something and there’ll be beautiful pigment all over my bathroom floor. *SHUDDER* Do you have any tips for using/handling pigments?

You look nice btw, the MBB T-shirt is cool. Harry Potter was definitely a good watch but I wish it wasn’t split in two parts and now we have to wait 8 months for the next part. Do read the books if you can because they are really fun especially if you have vivid imagination 🙂

      Hi Fieran,

Which brush are you using with your Chanel quad? If you’re having trouble perhaps try something like the MAC 239. It controls powder very well.

As for pigment, I usually place a paper towel down on the counter before I start working, and then keep the pigment jars sitting on top of it just in case I accidentally knock something over (makes it easier to pick up the product and put it on the jar). With the larger jars, I sprinkle a little product on the inside of the lid, and then pick up the product from the lid. With the smaller ones (like the ones from A Tartan Tale), I’ll sprinkle a wee bit on the back of my hand or if I have a small plate I’ll it on there.

Here’s a post I wrote about MAC Pigments a while back that you might find helpful, too:

      https://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/mac-makeup/mac-pigments-made-easy/

As for HP, I still haven’t read the books! I’ll get around to the series one of these days, sigh.

The 239 is always not in stock when I’m at the MAC store unfortunately, so I use 242 instead and 217 as well. I’l look for the 239 one of these days 🙂 Will read your Pigment tips, thanks! 🙂
