Tabby alarm clock time! Every morning is pretty much like this, sigh.

Sundays With Tabs the Cat, Makeup and Beauty Blog Mascot, Vol. 198
Been quiet here at Casa de MBB this weekend because Tabs has been down in Southern California doing Hollywood lunches and reading a couple of scripts, one of them for a new Steven Soderbergh film.
I can’t divulge any details yet, but I can say that it has to do with a sequel to a certain male stripper movie… 🙂
I’ve still been keeping busy here, of course. Between cleaning up the house and being on 24/7 call for Tabs, I always have plenty to do.
He gets home late tonight, so he’s been texting me tasks in preparation for his arrival, like “fluff d pillows on my chAr,” (which happens to my chair from Pier 1) and “cut som fresh catnip so i cn hav a snack wen i git om.”
I also had to get him another bag of Feline Greenies Dental Treats from Petco, and book him a massage with his on-call masseuse (El Hub) for later tonight.
Tabs says I don’t have to worry about losing my job as his personal assistant even though his film career is starting to take off. He definitely doesn’t plan to stop modeling. As a matter of fact, this week he was busy shooting ads for Urban Decay, MAC, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Burt’s Bees.

What a beautiful night. It’s just after 9 here, but there’s still a little bit of light outside, and the horizon is painted a mix of pink, red, orange and purple. The oak trees outside my window are gently swaying in a soft breeze, and it all makes me feel very…small.
Sunsets like these remind me that there are other things in the world much bigger than us.
Hi, friend. How are you doing tonight? I hope all is well. I don’t exactly know what to say or how to thank you for the comments you’ve left on the blog over the past few days. I’ve cried a bunch of times re-reading them, but they’ve all been good tears.
I still feel a little shaky, but I feel better than I did last week.
Believe it or not, one of the most therapeutic things you can do when you’re not feeling your best is take your cat for a walk.
Wait — here me out! It’s not as weird as it sounds (okay, maybe it is). 🙂

Tabs looking extra emo.

“Hi, this message is for Tabs. Tabs, this is Joss Whedon. It’s about 9:30 Sunday night. I just saw you in tonight’s True Blood and man! — awesome. Awesome job. Hey, I’ve actually been meaning to call you for a while, you know, apologize in person for the way things ended after Cat Avengers but…well, I’m sorry. It wasn’t my decision, man. It was the studio. If it had been up to me, you definitely would have gotten top billing.
“But anyway, that’s why I’m calling now. I want to make it up to you. This role… The role of a lifetime, Tabs. Call me. I’m working on something new that…well, you’d be perfect in it.
“This is it. We’re talking Academy Award-type role here. Intrigue, adventure, romance — and you, you’d be perfect as the main character. I wrote him with you in mind. The main character, he’s vulnerable, but not too vulnerable. The strong, silent type. Think Ryan Gosling’s character in Drive, only with four legs and fur.
“Anyway, man, just call me. Have your girl call my assistant, and we’ll set something up. We’ll do lunch. Call me. 555-555-1212. Cheers.”

Just another night at Tabs the Cat Industries, LLC. 🙂 When I wasn’t checking voicemails for Tabs, I was out getting some emergency groceries for the week. Now I’m just settling down with a mug of tea and firing up tonight’s True Blood on the DVR.
Tabs has a cameo, and I hear he’s supposed to be good…
Between filming on location in Louisiana and doing a commercial for Friskies in Miami, Tabs also did some modeling this week, including jobs for Benefit, Estée Lauder, Sephora, Bobbi Brown and Vera Wang.
Here are the latest pics from his kitty modeling portfolio…

Milla Jovovich did it. Famke Janssen did it. Jaime King and Rebecca Romijn did it. And now Tabs wants to do it, too — make the jump from modeling to acting.
Not since 2011 has a cat starred in so many TV shows and movies at the same time, and that cat was also Tabs. But those roles last year were small — a zombie kitty on an episode of The Walking Dead, a vampire kitty on an episode of True Blood, an English kitty on three episodes of Downton Tabby (a spinoff mini-series; it tested very well with cat ladies between the ages of 29-50).
This year, Tabs took Hollywood by storm, starring in five summer blockbusters in theaters at the same time, a first among felines in the acting world. 🙂
And this afternoon Tabs had me frame the movie posters from his summer films to decorate the walls of his new rumpus room/office.
Yup, a kitty assistant’s job is never done… You know how it is.

I love how extra annoyed he looks in the pic on the lower right, hahaha!
