IT’S BACK, BABY! Trader Joe’s Rose Oil Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream Is Back!

Time to stockpile!

When it comes to rumors, generally I take the advice I got from Timex Social Club when I was in sixth grade.

I choose to ignore them.

Started by the jealous people…

BUUUUUT when a friend told me that she asked a clerk who told her that TJ’s famous Rose Oil Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream (which sold out at our store in, like, two seconds) would be back in time for Mother’s Day, I told myself that it was probably just a rumor started by a bored TJ’s employee who messes with the hearts and minds of skin care enthusiasts.

Still, I always checked the shelf in the beauty aisle, just in case, hoping and against hope that I’d see my beloved hand cream again.

Lo and behold, I did! It’s baaaaaaack! ?

If I’d had a portable fainting couch with me, I would’ve whipped it it out in the store.

I grabbed two boxes like I was grabbing bottled water for the apocalypse, and yet I’m already kicking myself for not getting more.

I’m serious, this cream is the only thing keeping my hands from going full-on T. rex ? claw. Look for it every time you go to TJ’s. It’s marvelous!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I really want to try this, and fortunately for me, TJ’s is only a 15 minute drive from my home. I also drive past it on the way home from work. Hopefully this hand cream will still be in stock when I go there.

I always thought hand creams are over hyped until recently I realized that they have become the messiah to my TRex hands. Surely Trader Joe is going my my list now.

Out of curiosity have you tried the one in the blue box? I’m not a fan of rose scented things.

I just got two boxes of the Rose Oil Hand Cream and it is the best! I’ve tried the one in the blue box and for me, it’s a little more difficult to spread. The rose oil one has a better glide on the skin and the hydration is on point, even after a hand washing I still feel hydrated and not greasy. I don’t find the smell overwhelming. I actually think the blue one has a stronger smell, which after awhile tends to annoy me. And compared to other rose-scented hand creams I have tried (l’occitane, aerin for ex.), the Trader Joe’s one is quite mild. After a few minutes, I don’t smell it at all. I hope that helps.

I’ve heard the same thing. When I thought the Rose Oil was gone for good I considered getting the one in the blue bottle but heard it was thicker.

I need to go back and get more!!!

And I walked right by TJs on my way home from the gym and grocery store this morning. Will have to check it out tomorrow morning. Need another “double wide” cat scratch pad that they sell, Nora likes to sleep on them.

So I’ve always wanted to get one of those for Tabs but never pulled the trigger because I swear… I buy him things and all he wants to do is sleep or play with a cardboard box, go figure!

Let me know if you find the hand cream. (And if you do I hope you love it.)

Nora sleeps on them, but she also uses them to scratch, which saves my furniture. She never liked a scratching pole the way Nibbler does.
They come with a pretty potent pack of catnip, too. When I bring a new one home, even though the catnip is in plastic inside I still have to hide the scratch pad on the top shelf of a closet. Even then she will claw at the bottom of the closet door trying to get to it.
They’re not very expensive and when they get worn down my pet sitter showed me that you can remove the insert and flip it over to extend the use until they’re completely destroyed from clawing. The only downside is once it’s get really used there is a ton of torn cardboard bits around it that need to be vacuumed up.

They look like they’d be fun and I love the idea of coming home from TJ’s with a special treat for Tabs. Maybe I’ll get him one, and maybe he’ll actually use it, ha! If he tears it up all the cardboard can join all the other things the little animals in this house leave on the floor, like the torn off wrappers from crayons, stickers, bits of crusty Play-Doh…

Oh, you should get Nora Kitty a fresh catnip plant!

Haha, the entire front row of plants in our front yard is catmint. When we let Nora out for supervised fresh air, she makes a bee-line for it and then rolls in it until she’s drooling. Given that the plants are always completely flattened I’m guessing all the other cats in the neighborhood do the same thing.

NICE! Yeah, we do it mostly for the cats. Now that the two neighborhood thugs left town (Left Turn and Wild Child), the other kitties (Tater and Harris) finally have a chance to enjoy the plants!

I read recently that cats who are immune to catnip (like Tabs) often go crazy for honeysuckle, so now I want to plant some in the yard. Gotta get ALL THE CATS!

Thanks for the heads-up on this one. At the suggestion of a Trader Joe’s clerk, I emailed TJ’s to request they make the rose oil hand cream a permanent product. If everyone that follows your blog would do this, maybe it would happen. I went to Trader Joe’s today in Norcross, Georgia, and they had tons of rose oil hand cream,so I grabbed three tubes. The clerk at the checkout said she thinks they may be making this permanent now! here’s hoping!

Thanks for posting. I kept asking my local one and the dates kept getting moved around. Called this morning and they put 2 on hold for me. Yay!!!but they said probably no more will come in and that system shows unavailable.
