You know how Marie Kondo is always taking about things that spark joy?
Like…
And…
And…
Well, these Exquisite Eye Liquid Shadows by Wander Beauty also spark intense joy in my makeup-loving soul.
First, look at those gorgeous neutrals… Swoon!
My favorite is Amber Wave, which I wore today. Now that’s an oh-so-pretty coppery brown. It’s like a cream shadow Teddy Liner.
Another fave is soft, shimmering peach Champagne. Mm…
Basically, if you wear neutrals and lurve brown, beige and taupe, you’ll lose your mind when you see these up close and personal.
I think the best thing about them, though, is that they’re just like Tom Ford’s iconic $46 cream shadows (OMG!), but instead of coming in a pot, they come in a tube with a doe-foot, so they’re much easier to use IMO, and at $22 each, just under half the price!
It’s almost as if someone poured Tom Ford’s shadows into these tubes because they have the exact same magic. They make lids shimmer without looking frosty, and the formula?? OMG again! Light. As. Air. You can’t even feel them on your skin, and they look lightweight too, unlike some cream shadows that look heavy. Tom Ford’s don’t, and neither do these.
You can build them up or buff them out, but either way, they stay out of my fine lines, and I never feel like they make me look older when I wear them.
As if that wasn’t enough to send love arrows straight through your heart, Wander Beauty’s shadows also last just as long as Tom’s. I was playing with them this morning, put some on my lids, and then kindasorta forgot I had them on (seriously, they feel like nothing).
Then I jumped on my treadmill, ran a few miles, sweated like a mofo and looked in mirror afterwards.
“Wait a second… WHOOPS! I’ve still got eyeshadow on!”
Ha ha ha! Not that I plan to wear shadow just to work out in my house (that’s next-level fabulousness I’m not ready for), but if I wanted to, these would hold up!
I’ve been looking for something like the Tom Ford creams for ages, and now I can finally — finally — say I’ve found something similar.
The darkest brown, Brownstone, is close to Tom Ford Spice, whereas Steel Street looks like Platinum, and Champagne looks like Opale.
Get on it, babe. I think you’ll love ’em.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

OMG I might need Amber too. I worry about frostiness withliquid shadows but these have a really elegant finish.
I picked up a couple paint pots last week at Ulta when they were 50% off, so I’m finally going to try Groundwork! Also got Bare Study, which I’ve used before.

I never felt ready to invest in Tom Ford, but for 22 $ I might get one of these. Or two.

sephora only carries one color online apparently: dove grey
that brownstone looks gorge tho!
Karen says
Hi Yelena,
That’s the older version; it’s being phased out. I’m hoping Sephora will the revamped ones featured in this post soon. You can buy them from the Wander Beauty site. 🙂

I am so loving Wander Beauty. The brand has to be one of my favorite finds of the past year or so. I can’t wait to try their liquid shadow.
As for working out at home with makeup on, one of my aunts can’t even go down the driveway to the mailbox without putting on “just a little something” makeup-wise. She grew up in the ’50’s and they just did that back then, but it seems kind of exhausting.

Oh I so want to try something from Wander Beauty! These look amazing!

You always seem to have positive reviews of Wander Beauty and I keep saying I’m going to try something. Seems like a winning brand!

I’ve got all of them in my basket right now. Lol. I too have been looking for something to imitate Tom Ford’s cream shadows. I bought the cream shadows in Charlotte Tilbury and they creased within an hour with and without primer. I’m worried about creasing, did you get any creasing with these Wander liquid shadows Karen?
Karen says
Hi Blaine,
Only a little, and toward the end of the day. My lids are mostly dry and I skip primer (too lazy)! I think these are very sturdy in terms of wear time. Did you end up pulling the trigger?
