Dior Lady Dior Spring 2009 Makeup Collection: What Would You Get?

January 6th, 2009 by Karen 29 Comments

McLurvely alert! The 2009 Lady Dior spring makeup collection arrives next month, and I’ve been drooling all over the pics.

Earlier today I remembered a game my BFF and I would play when we were kids. It was called What Would You Get?, and whenever one of us would get a catalogue in the mail (hello, no internets), we’d flip through the pages, picking out one thing we’d each get if we could.

Are you ready for WHAT WOULD YOU GET?

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to spend $200 in virtual makeup bucks on the Lady Dior Spring 2009 makeup collection! Let me know what you’d get in the comments. 🙂

I love the $95 cheek and lip palette, with it’s oh-so-cute quilted compact.

Choose from any of the items from the collection…

Eyes

  • 5-Colour Iridescent Eyeshadow in Parisian Lights, $56.00
  • 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Elegante, $56.00
  • 2-Colour Eyeshadow in Nude Look, $35.00
  • Crayon Eyeliner in Elegant Taupe, $26.00

Lips

  • Rouge Dior Lipstick in Rita Beige, $28.00
  • Rouge Dior Lipstick in Actress Chestnut, $28.00
  • Dior Addict High-Shine Lipstick in New Look Beige, $26.00
  • Dior Addict High-Shine Lipstick in Couture Pink, $26.00
  • Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect in Trenchcoat Beige , $25.50
  • Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect in Ribbon Beige, $25.50
  • Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect in Clutch Pink, $25.50
  • Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect in Satin Pink, $25.50

Nails

  • Dior Vernis in Porcelain, $20.00
  • Dior Vernis in Nude Chic, $20.00

Cheeks

  • Lady Dior Palette in Parisienne Chic or French Chic, a complexion highlighter and a creamy tint for both cheeks and lips, $95.00

Those quints are calling my name…

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

The $95 compact for cute factor although that’s a mind numbing price! I’m curious to see how it looks like in real life though – can’t wait till you get yours and show pics 😉

The 95 dollar compact is truly mind numbing, I can’t agree more with ParisB, it kind of reminds of Rock and Republic’s Bronzer Highlighter which is 225 USD even though the refills are only 45 USD.

Not sure what I’d get from the collection or if I’d get any at all… the colours seem quite similar to what I already have, though I have to admit that Dior’s quints always call out to me… so we’ll see.

By the way, is it just me or are nude-y nails coming back this spring? It seems like most Spring collections are releasing nude-y nail polish.

Eeeekkkk I think I would own ALL the lip glosses and the Nude Look ES! In reality though, I might be able to get only 1 or two lipglosses!

Okay, I think I’ve got it — I’d spring for Parisian Lights Quint, the Nude Look duo, and the lipglosses with my virtual dollars!

I love this game (I still play it by myself when I read fashion magazines).

    Hands-down, I’d get Couture Pink l/s!

Actually, the spring collection is out at some department stores already! I bought one of the glosses in Satin Pink. LOVE IT!

    I want to tell all the cosmetics companies “Stop coming out with new stuff; pretty soon, I’ll either run out of money or out of space due to mounting stash of makeup.” I definitely love the Parisian Lights and Nude Look e/s. I need to see the swatches as far as lip products go. I’m sure I’ll love most of them. ^^;;

I have to see it in person, but I’ve been lusting after Parisian Lights big time! I’ll add to that the Nude Look eye duo, Couture Pink lippie and Satin Pink gloss. To round it out, I’d probably take the glosses in Clutch Pink and Ribbon Beige! That’s not quite $200, but close enough with tax! 🙂

Hmmm…. I am on a “no buy” right now unless it is Chanel or nail polish. Ok, guess that isn’t much of a no buy. But that means that this stuff is out. Except for the nail polish, which I can’t see spending $20 on. It is just basic nude nail polish, nothing exciting, from what I saw. My nordstrom had samplers out already 🙂

I *AM* going to get the two Dior Quints (the love of my makeup life ♥ ), but in addition with the virtual money the Ultra Reflect glosses in Satin Pink and Clutch Pink and the Nude look duo (sadly my virtual money did not leave space for the Star item!).

I have 150$ worth of SDM points to spend on Dior makeup, so unless I buy everything I can get everything for ‘free’. 😀

I want pretty much everything, but I’ll “settle” for Parisian Lights, the Elegant Taupe eyeliner, couture pink l/s, all of the glosses, and isn’t there a blush (#629)? I LOVE Dior!

Hi Karen. I’m sure Lady Dior would charm me when I get to see it. I would want that, Parisian Lights and Nude Chic. However in real life, I would pass because I’m not a Dior makeup line fan.

next to chanel dior is my next addiction i love their quints

i think if i had 200 free bucks to spend i would get
parisian lights quint, the gloss in clutch pink and satin pink ( who can go wrong with pink gloss??) polish in nude chis and highshine lipstick in couture pink

its under 200 bucks but i guess even in my dreams i budget – i am totally joking!

i used to play this game with my sister with catalogs too! ahh the internet – how it has ruined some of lifes simple pleasures 🙂 – i agree the 95 bucks for the cheek stuff is just way too much!!

OMG, I want it ALL, haha. The Parisian Lights quint looks insanely nice. I could see me wearing all of those colors all the time. All of the Addict gloss colors in this collection look awesome too. These are way out of my budget range though, oh well 😛

I’d totally get Parisian Lights, it caught my eye right away! Then, I’d splurge on Dior Addict High-Shine Lipstick in Couture Pink and Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect in Clutch Pink. I really like the shades. And finally: A Lady Dior Palette – sooo cute! Oh no, that’s $202,50! But I’m keeping them all anyway. 🙂

Hmmm, definitely Rita beige, I can see myself wearing that a LOT. And then the nude look duo, so that makes me on a total of $63 right? Hmm what else. A Lady Dior (too cute) and the Porcelain vernis 🙂

    I think I would pick:
    Parisian Lights Eye Shadow
    Actress Chestnut Lipstick
    Nude Chic Polish
    Satin pink Addict Ultra Gloss
    Elegant taupe eyeliner
    Nude Look eyeshadow
    Couture Pink High shine lipgloss
and that all comes to just over 200…
    I love the colors though.

My brother and sister and I used to play that same game with the Sears catalog when it came. Except we used pens or markers or something to mark them all too, so it was a mess by the time we were done with it lol.

I will virtual shop parisian lights, USD 56, lady dior 95, courtour pink 26, one ultra gloss 25.50. Out of budget slightly.

In real life, I will pass because we probably have the colors in our stash, just not in the combos as shown in the quint. I will drop by dior one day and swatch the colors to see if I have something similar at home.

I am lemming for the lady dior, but at USD 95, it is way out of my budget.

I would buy both quints, the duo eyeshadow, Actress Chestnut l/s and one Ultra gloss…i would be only $0.25 over budget.

In real life I will probably only get the 2 quints…and maybe one lipgloss.

I love all of them! It’s too bad that they cost an arm and a leg, otherwise I would’ve rushed to Sephora already.
