Unsung Makeup Heroes: Too Faced Sweet Pink Full Bloom Ultra Flush Blush

June 24th, 2013 by Karen 15 Comments

Now that’s a sweet pink! Too Faced Sweet Pink Ultra Flush Powder Blush ($19)

Chances are, you will not want to start a riot or cut a b*tch while wearing Too Faced Sweet Pink Full Bloom Ultra Flush Blush ($19).

You could, however, roll with a motorcycle gang…but only if your Harley and your helmet are completely covered in Hello Kitty stickers. 🙂

Might as well leave your tough girl boots at home tonight because this blush really is sweet.

A sweet neutral pink with a golden shimmer, to be exact, and it’s that shimmer that makes it a star. The soft glow it imparts, which is much subtler than shiny metallics, is very forgiving of my Lake Superior-sized pores.

It’s a little like layering a matte pink blush on top of a shimmery golden highlighter.

Have you ever tried that? It’s really cool. You can see the shimmer peeking through the blush, and it gives the look more life.

With Sweet Pink, you get the effect with one pan for $19.

It’s perfect for streamlined makeup bags. 🙂

The long-running Unsung Heroes series features some of my favorite permanent collection products from a variety of bodacious beauty brands.

Oh, and I love wearing it with matte lipsticks in bright berries, fuchsias and hot pinks. Hells, yeah!

I’m a sucker for looks with subtly shiny cheeks and matte lips. I think it’s very flattering. Give it a try if you have MAC Heaux or Impassioned around. Both look really great with Sweet Pink.

Sweet Pink also won’t ditch you after lunch. It lasts most of the day on my combo dry/oily cheeks. I can swipe it on in the morning and gallivant through my day, knowing it’ll be there for at least 6-8 hours.

Now that’s sweet! 😀

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. It was so cold and chilly here today! It actually rained…in late June! Which is really weird for this area.

I think. I can never remember when the last rains of the season usually happen, but I think it’s almost always in May.

How was your day? I hope it was sunny out there. Got any spare rays to share? Come on, sharing is caring.

Looks like I have to pick up this blush next time I’m over at ULTA or Sephora. It looks great with the Watermelon Ice, which I wore ALL weekend long!

Uh, yeah, what is up with this weather? Missy hasn’t been able to go outside all day and she has been very, very cranky because of it. Oh, and the news said that next Monday should hit 100 degrees!

      Hi Heids,

Tabs is HELLA cranky too. Did I tell you about the bird feeders we put up on the deck? There’s one for finches and one for the hummingbirds. They keep Tabs entertained — and fired up! — all day long. Now his feather teaser toy is not enough for him. I think watching the birds all day long is making him more “cat,” if that makes any sense.

Ooh, I can see Watermelon Ice looking GREAT on you. Did you try the Papaya one? I can see it going with your corals.

Fortunately, Missy is way too spoiled to ever feel inspired to catch her own meal!

I’m sure it won’t surprise you that Papaya was actually the first gloss I got from this collection. I loved it so much I went back and picked up the other two shades.

Of course. You need to be serving her heaping mounds of kibble on fine china!

I just knew Papaya would be your jam. Glad you are liking these so much! I really enjoy them and hope that they get more attention since they’re absolutely love.

          How was your weekend, btw?

Weekend was good. Went to the Saturday concert at our local outdoor shopping center. This time it was a Tom Petty cover band. So good. You guys really need to come up and join me sometime. Beautiful setting, great music. Thursday night I’m going up to Windsor to the farmer’s market to another free concert, this time a Santana cover band.

Sunday I went to Trader Joe’s and ULTA. Bought a concealer and some body wash.

I’s very pretty on you! I like the gloss too.

It’s been raining non stop in my city, I’m almost fed up of it now.

As I type this I can hear the rain outside! At least it’s kind of warm… it’s almost tropical.

Aw, very pretty. 🙂 We had this weird thunderstorm last night and because of the differences in the air temperature, we were watching the clouds swirl slowly (like a mini tornado) while the bottom layer of clouds was rising. It was super cool!

That sounds fascinating and frightening at the same time. Did you get any pictures?

No, unfortunately! One of the boys was at lacrosse practice and I was walking the track (I’m terrible about bringing my phone anywhere). I wish I would have, though!

Speaking of pics, I thought of you the other day because my tomato plants have a ton of little tomatoes growing happily. I was going to snap a pic of them. How are yours making out? I hope it will be a great season. I can almost taste the sandwiches. 🙂

This colour looks like it’d be very wearable. Sounds promising how it’s good for combination skin, which is my skintype.

The weather here is very rainy. It’s currently pouring outside. At least it isn’t as bad as the neighbouring city to the south, Calgary. Their flooding is making international headlines.

      Hi Iris,

Yeah, it’s been so rainy here in Nor Cal lately too! I’m so over it.

Thanks for the review, the blush is beautiful. Just wondering if by chance this might be a good dupe for Benefit Bella Bamba? I love Bella Bamba, but after I had my baby I started noticing that I could smell the fruity fragrance on my sons head whenever I wore it or Coralista lol! I need a good dupe!
