A Bangin’ Bright Glossy Red: Deborah Lippmann’s Sheer Lipstick in She Bangs

This is one of those decidedly juicy reds that could almost pass for a gloss.

It’s *that* shiny.

I’d take it easy with Deborah Lippmann’s $22 Sheer Lipstick in She Bangs because a little dab ‘ll do ya. A stained lip look only takes the smallest amount. Trust me — less is more when it comes to this seductress. For these pics, I applied a full layer (pretty!), but within 10 minutes it was a hot mess! A full layer of this bright tomato red color and slippery, silky formula added up to “high maintenance.”

That’s what I mean — less is more.

Like the other colors in Debbie-Deb’s Sheer Lipstick line, She Bangs is unscented and unflavored, but it’s got moisture for miles…

You’ll find She Bangs online and bangin’ at Deborah Lippmann counters at Nordstrom stores.

Holy good gravy, this lipstick is *beautiful*! Even before I read your post, I saw the pic and just had to click on the post because all I could think was “SHINY!!!”

I am very partial to balmy, sheer lipsticks with a juicy finish and this one, while not exactly sheer, has a lovely translucent finish that I love! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lipstick shine that much! Definitely will be trying these out 🙂

UGH. I am SUCH a sucker for high maintenance reds! This is a beautiful product, but considering I talk all day for work and I do it in a very dry environment, this product would be up my nose and down my chin in a few hours. But again, it’s just so pretty… 😉

I love the color, but DebLipp lost me at high maintenance.

On a random side note, have you seen the Sprint commercial with James Earl Jones and Malcolm McDowell (Totes McGotes)? It makes me laugh. 🙂

Too bad it’s high maintenance! I thought it’d be a nice everyday red that wasn’t too overpowering or dramatic. Still it is very very pretty!
