I keep meaning to grab these up so I can review them but also because I’ve been wanting to try Clinique’s original one for a long, LONG time and I feel like these might be the closest dupe. The Revlon Balm Stains were just ick (too pigmented for my taste and WAY too drying) and the new CoverGirl ones look a bit more lipstick-y as well. I usually really like Neutrogena’s tinted balms so I have faith that these will be the perfect ones!

I dunno, it just looks tacky when a reputable company just wholesale copies a concept like this. I just think ‘cheap Chubby Sticks’. I buy make up because its fun and a treat. I want novelty and a bit of glamour, not a knock-off. It’s not even about the price: cheaper products with inventiveness and style are great.

I love the chubby sticks by Revlon and tarte. Wonder how these compare.

I have a couple of these in the raspberry and plum colors, and I really like them – especially the plum. I think they are a little less balmy than the clinique chubby sticks and a little more glossy than both the clinique and the tarte. They do have kind of a fruity taste/scent, which may bother some, but I’m okay with it!

I love these, especially the more orange-toned ones. They are so easy to work with and the color pay-off is fab.

These look cool, but wonder why Neutrogena didn’t come up with something original? They must have a lazy product development department . . . lol.

I suppose Chubby Sticks are a hot enough seller for them to make a knock off, but that is surprising to me. I’m not a fan of the Chubby stick packaging at all- makes me feel a little juvenile like I am coloring my lips with a fat crayon, and the payoff is reminiscent of Bonne Bell Lip Smackers. NOt what I want to pull out of a glamorous handbag after dinner and drinks…. I wish Clinique would bring back the full range of almost lipsticks(there used to be more than 8 colors)- way more moisturizing and pigmented than the chubby sticks- and with a comparison of packaging- you get more so they last longer. Now if Neutrogena knocked off Almost Lipsticks- I would be running to the drugstore to stock up!
