This makeup did out turn out anything close to what I was going for, LOL! Does that ever happen to you?
I saw this beautiful picture of black liner with mint green accents on the Shu Uemura Instagram, which was my original inspiration.
Isn’t it so cool? I love how it’s creative but doesn’t feel overworked.
Anywho, I don’t know what I was thinking giving myself 15 minutes to try to recreate something similar! Maybe if I had an hour or two I could’ve gotten there, but alas, it did not happen. I put way too much shimmery mint green eyeshadow into the inner corner, so I ended up buffing it all out.
I kinda like how the sparkles traveled haphazardly over my lids, though!
I’m wearing a new foundation that I picked up at the Sephora Sale — Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin in the shade 8 Warm. I used two pumps and set it with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. It was hot in Northern California yesterday and it held up well despite the warm temps.
Oh, and the glossy lip! I’m really into shine these days. It’s Hourglass gloss in Canvas, in case you’re curious.
Have a great rest of your Purrsday-Thursday. We’re almost to the weekend!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

There’s no mint green on my screen . . .

I ended up buffing it out. It’s in the post. 🙂

Even though it’s not an exact duplicate of your inspiration photo, I love it. I actually like the diffuse, mint sparkles across the lid.
I want to see more of the garment you’re wearing. I love the print and colors! (Says the woman who almost always wears black, gray or navy. Need to find a way out of this rut.)
Hope the rest of your week goes purringly smooth!

Ooh, I’m happy to talk about the sweater. It’s by a Hawaii designer called Fighting Eel. Here’s a full shot of the sweater!

Thanks for reference to Fight Eel. I think half the reason I hate hot weather so much is I can’t figure out how to dress for it. I’m more of a jeans, sweaters, turtleneck kind of girl.
I see some midi dresses with sleeves that look like they might cover me up from the sun, but still be cool to wear in the heat. Of course on me they’ll probably come down to my ankles because I’m vertically challenged as Dear Husband likes to say.

Love both the inspiration and your interpretation!

Thanks, Chelsea!

I really like the way the eye look came out. Very pretty!!! It’s very similar to the look I have been doing with Colourpop Ritz. I just barely tap it on my lid when I’m done with my shadow and liner…just to get a pretty sparkle with the glitter.
I have been avoiding the Colourpop craze…but now that it is at Target I couldn’t help but try it. If you have not tried the Super Shock Shadows…I really like them so far.

I tried one years ago and remember liking it! What color did you get?
