I never should’ve attempted lightening my hair! It was summer time years ago and i wanted a lighter look. I fried my hair! It took about a year to get back to where it was and healthy.
I’m loving the too faced melted lipsticks. Even though I have 3 of the 4 colors in the mini set coming out for the holidays, i feel like I need it in my life. 🙂 I’m bummed the hourglass blush palette is already sold out for rouge members before the first day was over. Oct 1 it is then.

When I was 5 we were at a circus and there was an elephant and the man there was giving “elephant rides” to kids. All my friends were so scared and so was I but I finally decided I’d climb up on it. I still have the picture of me and my cousin sitting on the elephant’s back. I was laughing in the picture but crying inside because I was so scared! lol It’s my all time favourite picture!

The best makeup product I purchased this year was Aveeno positively radiant daily moisturizer. It has made a huge difference in my skin (natural redhead).
Hmmm one eyeshadow palette… That’s a hard one! I’m gonna say Stila In the Know palette. It’s a matte palette but the shades all work so well together and you can get a surprising amount of variety from it!
Best makeup purchase this year: hmmmm that’s a toss up between the bare minerals matte loose powder foundation (you can build the coverage and with a concealer it looks natural but manages to even out the skintone well without feeling like your makeup is melting off in the heat) and the hourglass ambient lighting powder in dim light. Again it evens out the skintone really well and gives a beautiful natural glow. I tend to wear winged eyeliner or shimmery golden eyeshadow looks so i like the skin to be more natural.

The best makeup purchase I’ve made this year has been my UD Naked Skin foundation. I don’t remember a lot of people taking about this but it has become my HG foundation. No primer needed and it looks just as good at 10pm as it did at 6am.

When I was younger, I lightened my hair with Sun In, it didn’t look bad but I didn’t keep up with the roots and so I just grew out my hair until I was able to chop off my hair to a bob length. I should’ve never attempted to lighten my hair without trying to keep up with it!

Best makeup purchase… a matte, cool-toned bronzing mineral powder. I’d say it’s a sort of dupe of Chanel “Les Beiges”, only sheerer and it suits best my skin tone. It’s great for very pale people who want to look healthy and alert without having to think of an eye or lips makeup – only it does take a little patience for building up the colour.

Definitely, the BHCosmetics Glamorous Blush Palette because it can do it’s job over the entire face (eyes, lips, cheeks, contour and highlight).

LORAC’s Unzipped palette is one of the best purchases I’ve made all year! It’s the perfect group of neutrals for my complexion and it lasts forever on my oily lids. Another favorite product is TheBalm’s Hot Mama blush. It’s a lovely peachy pink shade with just enough shimmer to make my makeup glowy. Last but not least, Wet ‘n’ Wild’s “bronzer” Reserve Your Cabana was a total drugstore win for me! I picked it up on a whim, and I’ve used it nearly every day since to set my under-eye concealer and to highlight my browbone. The fact that it’s a giant pan (that cost less than $5) just made the deal even sweeter. Pick just one favorite? Nope, couldn’t do it.
My husband picked the last of the plums from the tree in our yard today, so I’ll be making plum sauce later.
I haven’t been to Africa yet but I may be going there once I’m officially a member of the Peace Corps. Thank you for doing this giveaway. As a recent unemployed college graduate, I would be so grateful if I won this.
My best makeup purchase this year is definitely a Guerlain Rouge Automatique lipstick. I wear it all the time and I haven’t found anything else that comes close.

My favorite palette has to be my zpalette with all of my depotted milani blushes and a few runway eyes shadows that make amazing highlighters.
Best purchase… This one is harder but I’d have to go with ysl touche éclat foundation in br20. It stays really well on my combo to oily skin but doesn’t irritate my dry spots, the finish and appearance are just amazing, and it smells so good!!!!!!!! Totally worth the $60.
I think I’ve watched too much football today – and I never watch too much football. But now I’m bored and watching Obsessed – which is really bad; but comically bad. I also want some new perfume. So there’s that.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette (Cannot WAIT to put this on my face!)
UD Mrs. Mia Wallace lipstick (is there even a better red anywhere??)
If I could only have one non-eyeshadow palette for the rest of my life, I’d pick the NARS One Night Stand blush palette from Holiday 2013. That thing is my LIFE.

My best makeup purchase so far this year was IT Cosmetics Celebration foundation. Best fit for my skin EVER. I have oily aging skin, so the fact that it’s a powder that doesn’t settle into lines makes it my complete freaking holy grail.

I’ve never been out of the country, so nope, no Africa for me.
I should have never attempted to over pluck my brows as a teenager! Now it’s so sparse that ppl have convince me to get them tattoo. Not a great idea! It’s not natural looking as I like and the big natural brow trend is in. I can’t win because it’s still light and thin, big bummer.
I’ve only been to Italy and Mexico, but hope to travel more in the future!

I went to Africa with my family 10 years ago. It was a trip through South-Africa and it was only the second time I’d been outside of Europe. (First time was when we went to Florida. :)) We went when it was winter over there and it was one of the coldest winters they’d had in a long time. We ended up having to buy loads of winter clothes to keep warm. But it was a beautiful trip.
My best purchases are the Nars sheer glow,the Tarte maracuja concealer and ysl lip anything.
I’ve never been to Africa, but I wish I was able to go to West Africa to help with the Ebola epidemic occurring right now. I work with people who have family back in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This is a terrible situation that needs a lot of help immediately.

The best makeup purchase I’ve made this year is the Mally Beauty Evercolor Poreless Face Defender. I am thrilled with how well this tames my oily skin throughout the day. My work day is very busy, and the last thing I want to do is worry about how shiny my face gets. So when I notice a bit of shine on my problem areas (T-zone), I quickly dab some on with the awesome sponge that comes with it and I’m worry-free for the remainder of the day! Not only does it mattify my face, it also gives me a flawless, poreless look without any cake face. Believe it or not, it actually looks like I have freshly applied foundation! It’s truly a game-changer!!

I have never been to Africa, though I’ve wanted to go on safari. You know, the romantic notion of the African plains under a setting sun, with a majestic lion lounging in the distance… But I imagine real live Africa is nothing like that. 🙂

I’ve never been out of the USA unless you count the family cottage in Canada. I have no desire to go to Africa at all and I’m going to buy Dom lavender pieces to put in my hair. It’s blue black. Should be cool.
I think the best purchase I have made so far this year is between the L’Oréal brightening BB fluid and the NYX chubby balm in Happy Buddha. They both work to give my face that extra glow. 🙂

What’s been the best makeup purchase you’ve made so far this year? Ok so I can’t choose just one this year so here’s my top 3 – For lip balm I’m really loving fresh sugar in the color coral. It was my summer go to for a nice sheer wash of moisturizing color. I’ll still use them in the fall and winter since my lips will still need the moisture and I keep my work look natural but I may pick a different color like petal. My #1 lipstick right now is MAC craving since I’m starting to transition toward a darker lip. My #1 pallete I got this year is naked 3.
I’ve got my eye on urban decay’s vice palette 3. Winning a sephora gift card would totally help tame that craving!
I just came back from a great vacation in the Poconos. I Take my son there every year for his birthday. There’s a resort thete with an indoor water park & it’s such a great time. Thanks for the giveaway 🙂
