Cast Your Vote for Best Makeup or Beauty Product (Overall) of the Year

December 30th, 2010 by Karen 55 Comments

Cast your vote for the best overall makeup or beauty product of 2010

And now, ladies, it’s that time in the show when Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry, lookin’ hotter than any two people should be allowed to look, take the stage to announce the biggest award of the evening…

Best Makeup or Beauty Product of the Year!

LOL! 🙂

What was your pick for the overall Best Makeup or Beauty Product of 2010? Be it drugstore, high-end, hair care, fragrance, lip product, palette or tool, which product gets your personal People’s Choice Award in the overall Makeup and Beauty category? It can be a product you already voted for in the drugstore, makeup collection or skin care categories, or it can be something that didn’t quite fall into one of those three (a fragrance, hair care product, shadow quad, lippie or anything else).

This one’s a toughie, isn’t it? I can’t decide. I loved so many things — Panthera Mascara, MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, Benefit Bella Bamba, Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint… The list goes on and on!

Which makeup or beauty product stood out to you as the overall best of the year? Cast your vote in the comments.

Make sure I don’t miss your vote by including it at the top of your comment like so: VOTE: Makeup or Beauty Product. That’ll make it easier for me to tally the entries and share the results. After you’ve made your nomination, let me know why you picked that one product over everything else.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. And if you haven’t already, don’t forget to cast your vote for Best Makeup Collection of the Year, Best Skin Care of the Year and Best Drugstore Product of the Year. Let your voice be heard!

VOTE: Makeup or Beauty Product Sephora’s blockbuster palette. Their first one sucked, this one was $50 of pure awesome. I could have picked something serious like mufe’s hd foundation or a clinque’s repair cream, but this palette was just pure makeup *fun*, which gives it the winning edge in my book.

VOTE: Urban Decay Naked Palette: its an all round good palette, from the packaging to the colors and the performance is amazing, it works on well on my dark medium skin tone and I love how easy it makes putting a look together be it daytime, night or dramatic even for a novice like myself.

VOTE: Make Up Forever Rock For Ever Dany’s Essentials Train Case.
Okay, so this is KIND OF cheating. Because there’s like, 28 full-size & 1 travel-size products in this case (plus the gorgeous case itself). I was lucky enough to get one of the Dany Sanz autographed ones =D But OMG. That’s what I can say about this. $600 of products for $300? Heck yes! I had only tried one MUFE foundation, their Smoky Lash mascara, & their HD finishing powder prior to this kit. But now I can easily say I’m a MUFE addict! I love all the products included. I found the only brand of lipstick I’ll ever purchase again. Seriously, these things stay on for HOURS & turn the usually high-maintenance red lip into a mid-maintenance red lip (hey, it’s still a red lip!) These eyeliners don’t come off unless you use the MUFE Sens’Eyes remover. I actually think I like these better than the UD 24/7 liners & they’re the same price. It makes me sad that I missed out on the special case of all 25 MUFE Aqua Eyes liners that was offered last year. The HD Elixir has also done wonders for the dry patches I tend to get when winter rolls around. The Kabuki brush is SO SOFT & I think I’ll be purchasing more brushes from the MUFE line. The liners are long-lasting & so are the Aqua Creams. I also love the one included for cheeks & eyes. It looks exactly like NARS Orgasm. So pretty! The black cream liner is the BEST I’ve ever used. Again, I usually use UD’s new-ish cream liner, but I like this one better. It doesn’t smudge at all. It stays where you put it. The HD primer compliments the rest of their HD line (which I’m now obsessed with). And the Smoky Lash is the only mascara I’ll ever use. It’s amazing & you get TWO full-size tubes in this case. Wow, I was totally rambling there. I just can’t tell you enough how great this case is! I’ve never been so happy with a beauty purchase!

This stuff is life-changing! Beats the pants off Moroccan Oil. Also the sulfate-free shampoos from this line are awesome, and probably the only product (makeup or hair) that I actually had to buy immediately when I ran out.
