NUDESTIX Nudies Tinted Blur Sticks Are Perfect for the Playground

Unwritten Rule of the Playground #327: Adults are to refrain from wearing glam makeup to the playground (of course I’ll have to break this rule eventually, right?). I’ve been wearing these NUDESTIX Nudies Tinted Blur Sticks when I take Connor to the playground lately, and they’ve been great. For the record, they do not violate rule #327.

At the playground, ya know?

They’re $30 each and available in 10 shades. The 0.22-oz. twist-up sticks come with a reusable storage tin that also has a mirror.

I’m not a huge fan of products that require me to exert massive amounts of man woman power to achieve no-makeup makeup — like buffing, patting, stippling, setting, spraying. That’s too much work! These cream sticks combine a sheer tint and a blurring face primer to get it done in a few swipes and by quickly blending with my fingers.

They make my pores look a little less…pore-ey, and my skin looks slightly more even-toned. My freckles are definitely still in the house, though, so FYI, these are the kind of base designed to showcase your natural skin as much as possible, so, if you were hoping for a full-coverage product, this ain’t it.

“This natural-looking tint blurs to create the appearance of smooth texture and even skin tone. The lightweight, cream-to-powder finish is suitable for all skin types.

Tinted, light-reflecting minerals soften the appearance of uneven skin tone to provide a youthful, diffused glow. Shade-adjusting pigments blend with your real skin tone coming through to naturally tint your skin. The overall effect is a soft-matte glow that’s never flat or blah.

Mix your stix: Use this easy multitasker for all-over tinted coverage, a blurring primer, a blotting cream, highlight, or contour. Use Nudies Tinted Blur Stix in shades lighter or deeper than your skin tone to highlight, contour, and define your features. Just draw and blend.

Your skin will look and feel like your skin, but better. So let’s go nude and get real.”

In action! (I was going for “Meghan Markle at the royal wedding.”)

I’ve been testing Medium 5, which is a touch too light for my NC42 skin… I end up mixing it with a bit of Deep 8. Medium 6 would probably be a better fit for me, but it’s sheerer than Medium 5, so I prefer to make Medium 5 work.

Another day, another playground look… 🙂

You can set it with powder, but I like to leave it as is, because the cream dries to a satiny powder finish anyway.

Most of the time I’ll do a quick touch-up in the afternoon, after I’ve been wearing it for about six hours, because it kinda peaces out around then on my combo skin. But it’s so easy to apply that I don’t mind.

Here, lemme do it right now…

Overall, lovely. Just lovely. 🙂

❤️❤️❤️❤️ 4 out of 5 hearts.

Did you know? Remember last summer’s NARS Hydrating Glow Tint? This creates a similar “freshly washed skin” look, but it comes in a stick.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I tested these at Sephora, and the texture and sheerness is so nice! The lightest shade is very pink though, which is not my favorite.

Oh, I have a hard time wearing foundations with a pink undertone (they turn gray on me) so I feel you!

I do love full coverage but recently I’ve been trying the no-makeup makeup look and this sounds perfect for that!

I am not into sheer coverage, despite admiring Meghan Markle at the wedding, so i think they’ll be a pass for me.

Been waiting for a review on this product. Thank you! I am a similar skin tone to you. Do you think Deep 8 would make a good bronzer or contour shade? I’d be interested to know your thoughts on this product as a bronzer, contour, and highlighter stick, and if so, what colors you’d recommend for your skin tone?

Unwritten Rule of Living in Florida #327: There’s no point in wearing glam makeup until October, because it will melt off within 30 seconds of walking outside. Seriously, you will not even make it to the car without having a major ‘Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane’ incident.

So the Nudestix are looking really good to me right about now. 🙂 Love your playground eyeshadow look, too.
