Benefit Holiday 2015 | First Impressions

Four of the six Best of Benefit holiday kits for holiday 2015

Why do I suddenly feel the urge to wear neon and listen to Wham!?

Oh, maybe it’s this: the Benefit holiday 2015 collection and its candy-colored, ’80s theme.

My goodness, girlfriend. It just occurred to me that, depending on your age, you may not have heard of Wham! — which is a thought that makes me want to take a long walk off a short pier (dramatic much?).

Seriously, though, they’re one of the quintessential ’80s party bands.

Speaking of parties, this year’s Benefit holiday 2015 collection Best of Benefit kits sure look like they’re having a blast (look at those bright colors!). I’m getting distinct notes of out-of-control New Year’s Eve parties that can’t stop, and won’t stop, until well after dawn.

The collection consists of six Best of Benefit kits filled with combinations of mini and full-sized re-promoted products from the Benefit permanent line, so if you’ve been a Bene-Babe for a while, there’s a good chance you already have some of them. These are really about gifting, and for the right person, they could be a great fit.

I mean, they’ve already got eye-catching wrapping.

What we have here are pics of four of the six kits. Not shown are a cheek and eye palette, as well as a special edition, crystal-studded tube of They’re Real Mascara.

So fancy!

Party Poppers ($45), this year’s Benefit advent calendar (the yellow and pink box near the top), is shorter and sweeter than last year’s calendar and comes with 12 mini products for 12 days, instead of 24, but it also has extra fa-la-la-la-laaaa! — meaning that it sings. But you have to play the video up top to hear it, because I haven’t figured out how to serenade you from my keyboard yet, haha.

Look for this year’s Best of Benefit holiday kits online and at Benefit counters and stores soon.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Love the packaging! Very ’80s indeed. So much better than last year’s holiday packaging, IMHO.

I really like the bright and fun packaging, but why does the advent calendar only have 12 windows? The whole point is that it’s one window per day in December! I wouldn’t even know when to open them, December 1 to 12? Or 12 to 24?

Love the fun packaging, but I wish there were all 24 days in the advent calendar 🙁

Ha, I have been around dancing to Wham! and then going slow with twinkle lights. I even have been around for practicing Lambada (which probably looked ridiculous performed by a chubby pale blonde girl).

What a fun holiday collection. Zac Posen! Yes! He’s such a cutie! Lovin’ him as a judge so much more than MK.

Props to Benefit for doing something different with their holiday collection! I love that they chose a theme like this, it’s just so fun to look at!

There are certainly different holiday sensibilities at Benefit and NARS! HAHA! I agree that Benefit has the NYE theme going on but also have to complain (just a bit) about a 12 day advent calendar. 🙂

I was at Ulta and saw these holiday beauty gifts and what great packaging. Love it!
