Does Korres Vanilla Guava Showergel Smell Like Macarons? Of Korres

December 18th, 2010 by Karen 20 Comments

Korres Vanilla Guava Showergel

I tore through that box of macarons in record time, but their spirit lives on in the Korres Vanilla Guava Showergel ($19.50).

I’ll go out on a limb and assume that Korres didn’t have my favorite vanilla flavored cookies in mind when they cooked up this moisturizing gel. This newest member of the company’s luxuriously bubbly Showergel line is made from (a very specific) 90.2% natural ingredients. Korres claims the wheat proteins and aloe in the product keep skin moisturized while vitamins C, E and the mineral zinc help reduce visible signs of aging. Tabs doesn’t look a day over five…but he thinks it’s cool that this stuff is also cruelty free.

Thankfully, it’s easy to rinse and doesn’t leave behind a noticeable residue. Plus, there’s that delicious scent. Just like a yummy vanilla macaron, om, nom nom!

PRICE: $19.50 for a 13-oz. bottle
AVAILABILITY: At Sephora and korres.com
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B+

Hello Karen and Tabs hope you are both well. I love Korres shower gel. Going to a post next week about the five different Korres shower gels that James and I are currently using. I love the men’s range the best.

      Hi Annabella,

I don’t think I’ve ever tried any of the men’s stuff. What do you and James recommend?

I guess the code is only for the Korres website? Too bad, because I’m about to place an order at Sephora for the set with five shower gels and five lotions. 🙁 Amongst other things, of course, otherwise I’d just order at Korres, lol.

Korres has a lot of nice things! If you ever get the chance try the lip butter glazes. They’re fabulous. 🙂

Thanks for posting this review! I’m hooked on Korres products and I’ve been meaning to pop into a Sephora store and sniff the Vanilla Guava scent…good to have an idea of what to expect 🙂

I just bought the Never Enough set (http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P275001&categoryId=C11245) so maybe once I work through that I’ll look into the Vanilla Guava showergel.
