February 23rd, 2011 by Karen 62 Comments

Hi, cutie! I’m live blogging from the Benefit headquarters in San Francisco and just wanted to give you a quick sneak peek at what’s coming down the pipe from Benefit — a new skin care collection launching in April called B. Right. The eight-piece collection, which focuses on hydration and brightening, is designed to work hand in hand with Benefit’s makeup.

For updated information and many more pics of the new Benefit B. Right skin care line, see Will Benefit’s New Skin Care Line B. Right for You?

Benefit Global Beauty Authorities Annie Ford-Danielson (left) and Maggie Ford-Danielson (right) with the B.Right Skin Care collection

The products are designed to work quickly and easily, with prices ranging from $21-38. Expect to see cleansers, a toner, an eye makeup remover, an exfoliator, an eye cream and face moisturizers.

More info to come!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Hmm… the packaging and products look great, but I’m a little leery. While I love most of Benefit’s products (particularly the Creaseless Cream Shadows and lipsticks), I had a terrible experience with the facial cleanser and tinted moisturizer I purchased from them a couple of years ago. The two products combined to give me an awful break out. However, I will keep my eye out for the reviews on this line.

These look really cool, cant wait to try them actually ive been wondering what new skincare i can try lately!

On a pretty bum note, i just bought some FAKE MAC products from ebay 🙁
The lady listed them as authentic, and the boxes in the pics were extremely good copies so they fooled me, it wasnt until i picked them up got home and checked them that i noticed the flaws that showed they were fake…like the fact that the serials on the bottom of the boxes were all printed on and the same, when they should be stickers and all different codes…and also the foundations STUNK something bbbaaaddd…the lashes were totally different like giant chunks of plastic flappy things, the shadows had a different inner lid when i opened them, same with the pigments…
im very annoyed with the lady/makeup artist, as im sure she knew they were fake cos her listing said she had accidentally over stocked so she was selling, however i checked her history and she had sold about 10 packs during the yr and written the same crap in her listings…LIAR!!! And also any makeup artist would instantly recognise that they are fakes and only a true mean person would re sell them knowing that…so anyways ebay is taking it up now because when i asked where she got them from she said mac, and then i replied saying how strange, did she know they were fakes? and that i need to bring them back for a refund…she never replied 2 me since…

Before anyone wants to buy mac from ebay check this out

Can anybody else weigh in on this?

i paid cash when i picked it up, the lady replied saying shes never heard of MAC b4!!! and didnt know there was such a thing as fake makeup!!! HAHA what a lie, but anyways she offered me $50 back if i kept it, or i can bring it back, straight away i replied sorry but i cant ever use this makeup on a job or on myself so im bringing it back for the refund thanks!

I just hope shes there when i go all the way to her house, a 50min drive away!

      Hi Nina,

It is really cute. How about doing a patch test first? I usually do that with things like moisturizers… I’ll try them on my chin/neck and if the skin doesn’t freak out I’ll try it on other parts of my face.

Very cool on the live blogging! The only Benefit product I’ve tried is High Beam and I like it. I’ll be interested to see the reviews on the skin care line. I see a lot of comments about people breaking out from their stuff, though, and I can’t have that! 🙂

I hear ya! I’m all about the patch testing, because I have sensitive skin that easily freaks out too. Cleansers, eye creams and exfoliators I can usually deal with, but moisturizers are another thing. I usually test them on my chin or my neck first… if I don’t break out then I’ll slowly move to other parts of my face.

I definitely agree – I just passed off my sample of AmorePacific Moisture Bound Refreshing Hydra-Gel to the Hubs because I felt like it was starting to break me out. On a side note, I know there have been some posts about argan oil but can’t remember if you’ve tried it yourself. My acne prone friend said she was just beginning to use it and thought it was helping her complexion. I’ve heard a lot of good but I’m nervous about trying it.
