Makeup Inspiration This Week

I just bookmarked A BUNCH of makeup looks because one cannot extricate herself from a brown lid/nude lip rut completely on her own.

I’m tryin’, man!

OK, can we just talk about how this Kristen Stewart look has been haunting me for weeks, but, like, in a Casper the Friendly Ghost way? Makeup artist Beau Nelson did this look for Kristen recently at Cannes.

The the teal/electric blue action around her lash lines? I can’t even. It’s so bright and eye-catching, for sure, but check out the placement of the darker blue on her lower lash line. There’s some in the outer corner and just around bottom from the inner corner, and then with the teal pop in the center? That’s so cool!

I also like how restrained the rest of the look is, like the cool-toned matte brown eyeshadow in the crease and how it contrasts with the metallic on the lash line, and the subtle skin and cheeks and dainty pink lip.

I’m gonna reverse-engineer that lash line using some UD blues and teals…

Got a case of the blue-teals-greens. (The case is the $24 Rainbow Brights iPhone Case from connorclaire.com.)

This next look is something I could wear on the daily. It looks like Jessica Alba is wearing bronzer on her cheeks (maybe a seamless cream with a matte finish?) in this look with satiny purple smoky lids, lots o’ lashes and a soft peachy pink lip.

I love her hair in this, too. Half up, half down with soft, defined curls. ? This look, by the way, is from MUA Daniel Martin, who also did Meghan Markle’s marvelous royal wedding makeup.

Also, I’m feeling this look by David Razzano, a makeup artist with Sephora’s Pro team. The coverage is a little fuller than I usually wear these days, but I might try it for kicks.

If you like this easy spring makeup look I created on the gorgeous @satya_mai_official … check out @sephora YouTube channel today to see my video creating it using @tartecosmetics !! I looove a soft bronze eye with hot pink lips?!! #makeupartist #sephora #tartecosmetics #smokeyeye #mua #makeupoftheday #lipstick #lipgloss #sephorapro #brows #glowingskin #highlighter #makeupaddict #beautymakeup #glam #lashes #makeupbyme #eotd #eyemakeup #lotd #motd

I’m digging her full, lush brows, the blown-out bronze shades on her lids with that spotlight in the center, and the super shiny patent-leather hot pink lip!

GAH!

I’m gonna be a mess in that lip, though, but that’s fine. I’ll deal with it.

One thing I just realized right now about all three of these looks is that there isn’t a lot of color happening on the cheeks. They all look lightly sculpted with a bit of bronzer, and I’m feeling that!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Jessica Alba is always a beauty, but wow, Kirsten Stewart really looks stunning! I don´t wear much blue, but the look is tempting to try and recreate for a summer pool party. I better start practicing beforehand though.

I absolutely love Kristen Stewart’s look. Also, I thought you would be recreating on one of these looks yourself in the post.
Do it! Do it! Do it!

Also, I adore that phone case.

Happy Tuesday to you and Connor and Tabs the Magnificent

KathleenLights just did a blue eye makeup tutorial on YouTube that was inspired by Kim Kardashian, but the look was very similar to the one you posted of Kristen Stewart. I don’t wear blue eyeshadow, but I think it looks cool for summer!

Interesting! I’m not a huge fan of the KKW look but I might check it out to see if I can get some inspo. Thanks, Kristen!

If I don’t have color on my cheeks, I look like grim death. That Kristin Stewart eye look is perfect for you. You always rock the bright blues! I’m also a fan of Jessica’s hair – super pretty. I am a bit afraid of the Sephora look, though. There’s a lot of bold there! 🙂

I mean… I gotta have bronzer at the very least on my cheeks! Otherwise I’m dead weight, girl.

Oh, I hear that. Though, my blush is really the only color on my face, now that I think of it. I’m not trying to diss black and brown as colors, but you know what I mean. HAHA!

Speaking of blush, someone had mentioned in the comments that Malice might be discontinued! I’m not sure if it’s true as I haven’t done any digging, but FYI, you might want to grab a backup.

I just totally gasped! I hope not. It’s still on the Chanel site, thankfully. I remember looking online at like Macy’s or Nordstrom and they had several colors but not Malice. I panicked and thought it had been discontinued, but I think some counters/retailers only carry a limited color selection. I hope that is the case. Though, why everyone wouldn’t want ONLY Malice, is beyond me. 😉

You still might want to grab one just in case. I know the pans last FOREVER but still!

I’d love to see that bright blue KS look on you. If you recreate it, please post it for us.
I’d love to have skin that looks like that! Oh to be 30 years younger.

Will do. I have the shimmer cream sticks that Chanel did a few years back and think those also might do the trick, too. We’ll see if they haven’t totally dried out. 🙂

Re: younger skin. I was looking at old pics the other day and was shocked by my pores. Can’t believe they were ever that tiny!

I love all these looks, but the Kristen Stewart look is my favorite! That blue eye shadow looks perfect. I also love the bright pink look in the last picture. I will have to check out some of these IG accounts for makeup inspiration!

      Hi Ruchita,

I’m stalking all of them, LOL! I just wish I could hang out with them and have them teach me their ways, le sigh!

Hope you had a better day at work today.

I’m just impressed that Kristen Stewart manged to wash her hair for Cannes. That girl gets all up on my nerves with her attitude problem.

Jessica Alba, now, is another story. She is gorgeous and perfecting that purple smoky eye is now on my makeup to-do list.

LOL, yeah… I’ve noticed she can be a grumpy goat sometimes.

Re: Jessica Alba. I wish her hair stylist could come to my house and hook me up with a cut/color!

Hope you’re having a good week so far.

I cannot stop staring at the look on Kristen Stewart! It’s somehow both smoky and electric without feeling heavy or dated. Clearly magic!

I love looking at Cannes Film Festival photos because the advertising festival I interned at in 2011 is at the same building, so I recognize the backgrounds!

I love both KStew and Jessica Alba’s looks – She might have used the products from her Honest line I’m guessing, if that even still exists.
